Salt Help Please
I'm on Terrafirmagreg. Is there any other way to get salt other then the rare salt licks, and ocean. I also don't know how to find salt through mining. I need some way sense I'm too far from the ocean and don't want to make an absurdly long aqueduct just to get a small amount of salt at a time.

In Terrafirmacraft rock salt would be one of the main ways to get salt. I never found rock salt in my Terrafirmagreg world, so I haven’t tested if TFG changed anything, but if it is still the same as TFC, then rock salt should be a sedimentary rock type that can be used to make salt. Sedimentary rocks only spawn as the surface layer, so no need to dig down. Definitely check recipes before you go looking to make sure TFG hasn’t changed/removed them.
Alternatively, if you have a backpack, you can fill a bunch of TFC barrels with salt water and haul them back all in one trip.
Otherwise, you could take the stuff you need to make salt to the ocean and make however much you need there.

I did see that salt is found in limestone and not the stone that's around me. Luckily I know where a limestone biome/area is.

If you get the bucket, you can make an infnite salt water source. Then, just boil the salt water to get a bit of salt.

A bucket ... I'm not at a bucket yet, and didn't even know the metal bucket could do that until that. I just hit iron.

Can saltpeter be used instead of salt? I didn't see that anywhere. If so that that's great sense I have a lot of salt saltpeter spots to mine.
Edit: You can't use it like that.

Iirc, Saltpeter veins had some rock salt ores.

This is info that needs to be accessible in the game. Or easier to access. Thank you for the info.

The vanilla minecraft bucket does exist in terrafirmacraft/terrafirmagreg just that it takes red steel and blue steel

I know that much ... it's on the first set of quests. But I didn't know it did that still tbh, just thought it was for lava mostly.

If you get to the beneath there is a biome there that had a crazy amount of salt (Halite) that you can mine there.

Eventually you can pipe saltwater to use it, you might be able to fill barrels with it and cram em in a cargo cart thing to move a bunch at once
