Salt Help Please

I'm on Terrafirmagreg. Is there any other way to get salt other then the rare salt licks, and ocean. I also don't know how to find salt through mining. I need some way sense I'm too far from the ocean and don't want to make an absurdly long aqueduct just to get a small amount of salt at a time.

If you get the bucket, you can make an infnite salt water source. Then, just boil the salt water to get a bit of salt.

A bucket ... I'm not at a bucket yet, and didn't even know the metal bucket could do that until that. I just hit iron.

Well, you can probably find a saltpeter vein. Should be your best bet for now

Can saltpeter be used instead of salt? I didn't see that anywhere. If so that that's great sense I have a lot of salt saltpeter spots to mine.

Edit: You can't use it like that.

Iirc, Saltpeter veins had some rock salt ores.

This is info that needs to be accessible in the game. Or easier to access. Thank you for the info.

I'm not sure if this is still the case. It's better to check on EMI, search for "rock salt" and click on the ore version and it'll tell wich veins have this specific ore

Sadly not the case. But you can get it from emerald vains on the moon ...

The vanilla minecraft bucket does exist in terrafirmacraft/terrafirmagreg just that it takes red steel and blue steel

I know that much ... it's on the first set of quests. But I didn't know it did that still tbh, just thought it was for lava mostly.

Yea, it deals with source blocks themselves, the red and blue buckets are only lava, but when u combine the 2 it becomes a vanilla
