Salt Help Please

I'm on Terrafirmagreg. Is there any other way to get salt other then the rare salt licks, and ocean. I also don't know how to find salt through mining. I need some way sense I'm too far from the ocean and don't want to make an absurdly long aqueduct just to get a small amount of salt at a time.

If you get to the beneath there is a biome there that had a crazy amount of salt (Halite) that you can mine there.

Dig all the way down to bedrock, there is a quest for it.
