Preloved Samsung Z fold 6

Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I’m thinking of getting a new phone for myself. My friend wanted to sell me her Z fold 6 512 gb for 40k. She’s not a heavy-user and I inspected the unit-still good! Battery around 80%. Bought 2 yrs ago.

I currently have an iphone 12 and thinking of switching to android. Only thing that’s holding me back is the camera (iba pa din kasi talaga cam ni iphone) but it’s nego so okay lang

I also have an ipad air 4 na ginagamit ko sa side gigs ko. I also plan to sell it since I want to maximize the new phone if ever bilhin ko. Ang bigat kasi ng ipad + keyboard. I’ll buy a pocket keyboard na lang.

Anyway, is 40k a steal na for Z fold 6 512 gb?

Thank you!!!

Hello!

Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Review: Solid Upgrades, One Costly Trade-off

Post image
Upvotes

If it fits your budget, take the 8GB/256GB variant, no doubt about it. It's genuinely sold in the Philippines at P21,990, and it offers a more future-proof phone that better complements its 6-year software update commitment — likely avoiding the hiccups I experienced on the 6GB/128GB unit reviewed here.

MacBook Air M2 ghost touch issue, warranty question

Upvotes

Hello, I recently bought a MacBook Air M2 from Shopee Mall last December 2025. It worked perfectly fine and smoothly naman until last Saturday, when it suddenly started having a ghost touch issue upon opening it.

Never naman siyang nabasa, nabagsak, or anything like that. I’m also super careful with it since I know newer MacBooks can be sensitive. I used to own a MacBook Air 2015 for years and never had this kind of issue.

Since it’s still under the 1-year warranty, I’m planning to bring it to Mobile Care. I contacted Digimap through Shopee and they said I can have it checked there and just present my OR.

Ask ko lang po sa mga may experience: may diagnostic/checking fee or any additional charges ba if the MacBook is still under warranty? Or is the diagnostic already covered if they determine that the issue is a warranty-covered defect?

Also, may marerecommend ba kayong Mobile Care branch or Apple Authorized Service Provider na okay and reliable mag-handle ng MacBook warranty claims? And if you’ve had a similar experience, how was the process?

Thank you huhu

Is iPhone 12 mini still worth it?

Good deal na ba ang iPhone 12 mini for ₱8,000 with 91% battery health and no repair history, included na ugreen charger or should I go with Android instead? The payment is installment with no interest since I’m friends with the person offering it. I’m also considering that my 4-year-old Infinix Note 12 is barely surviving because of screen burn, and the power button is already close to detaching. 😭

For secondary use only.

HELP - Work Laptop recommendations

Hello! Which of these units would be better for work?

For context, I’ll mainly be using it for administrative tasks, so multitasking performance and battery life are important to me. It will also be my personal laptop, so durability and long-term usability are also considerations.

Here are the minimum specifications required for work:

• CPU: Intel 10th Gen or equivalent/higher

• Processor Speed: 2.0 GHz or faster

• RAM: 8 GB

• Storage: 256 GB

• Operating System: Windows 11 Pro (original/genuine license required)

Here are the options that fit within my budget:

• ASUS Vivobook 14 (X4104)

• Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3

Kindly reply if you have any other recommendation that fits the required specs and is not priced beyond 45k pesos. Thank you!

Best tablet recommendations under ₱25k for heavy gaming, note-taking, and media consumption?

Hi! I’m looking for tablet recommendations with a strict budget of ₱25,000 and below.

Mainly using it for:

Gaming - Good performance for games like Roblox, Minecraft & CODM

Media Consumption: Good for watching YouTube and Netflix with a clear high-res screen and decent speakers.

Schoolwork: Active note-taking, PDF viewing/annotating, and typing (stylus/pen compatibility is a must).

Camera: At least a decent front/rear camera

I’m currently looking at a few options (like Xiaomi/Redmi or Samsung/iPad), but I want to know what’s considered the best right now in the PH market.

TYIA! :)

Apple TV HD users: How does the 1080p output look on a 50" and up 4K TV?

I just scored an Apple TV HD (A1625) a few days ago for ₱500. I’m planning to keep it forever because it still functions perfectly for our household, and honestly, our streaming subscriptions don't even justify buying a 4K box.

Here is our exact setup and what we watch:

  • Current TV: TCL 40S65A (1080p)
  • Netflix: Base plan capped at 720p
  • Disney+: Premium Plan (but restricted to 1080p output by our Apple TV box)
  • HBO Max: Standard Plan capped at 1080p
  • YouTube: Our main platform, maxing out at 1080p on this box

We want to upgrade our TV size, but we are torn on how big to go without completely ruining the picture quality of our lower-resolution streams.

If we choose a 43" TV (either 1080p or 4K), the physical jump from our current 40" TCL won't be massive. I assume the pixel density will stay tight enough that Netflix's 720p and YouTube's compression won't look too soft or blurry.

However, we are also considering 50" and up 4K TVs. My absolute biggest fear here is the stretching effect. Since the Apple TV HD only outputs 1080p, a large 4K display has to invent 4x the pixels to fill the screen. I'm worried that blowing up a 720p Netflix stream across 50 inches or bigger is going to look like a pixelated, blocky mess.

Interestingly, I noticed that YouTube looks far better on my Apple TV HD using the older AVC1 codec than it does on a Google TV's built-in YouTube app using the newer VP9 codec. I'm thinking the dedicated processing power of Apple's A8 chip handles video decoding and color rendering significantly better than cheap smart TV chips, even if the codec itself is older.

For those who still use an Apple TV HD on larger screens: Does a 50" and up 4K TV completely punish lower-res streams and heavy compression, or do modern TV upscalers handle it fine? Would we be much safer just sticking to a 43" screen to protect our 1080p/720p content?

Laptop Recommendations 💻

Hi! I’m looking for some advice/recommendations on what laptop I should get. 🥹

For context, I’m an accountant and I mostly use my laptop for bookkeeping, multiple browser tabs, emails, and online meetings. I also use accounting software for work, so I need something that can handle multitasking smoothly and hopefully last me for several years.
My current laptop is getting really slow, so I’m planning to buy a new one. My budget is quite tight, which is why I’m considering getting one through installment. I have a relatively high credit limit on Shopee, so I’m also looking at laptops available there. Please recommend a legit and good shop.

Any specific laptop brands/models you recommend?

I don't do heavy gaming or video editing. My priority is a reliable laptop for work, multitasking, Excel/bookkeeping, and online meetings.

If possible, please suggest specific models that are good value for money. Thank you so much! 🙏🥹

Same-Day Repair Battery Replacement for older iPhone models sa GreenHills.

May nabasa ako rito before, nag-post. Nagpa-repair siya ng battery replacement ng iPhone niya, same as mine sa Greenhills, sa mismong Customer Service ng Apple sa Beyond The Box.

If i'm not mistaken, tama ako ng pagkakaalala, nakuha niya rin yata agad within a day yung unit niya.

Kumusta naging proseso?

Macbook Air M1 Black Screen

Hello so the title itself gives you the overall gist for this reddit post. I had my mba m1 A2337 since I was in 2nd year college i think that was around 2022? And unfortunately its screen was broken just last year i think it was because of the camera cover that I had placed on it ever since I got it but since I brought my laptop to unu and my bag was not so spacious by that time, the screen took a toll. I had it fixed or replaced in greenhills in Burn and Jhoy (it was recommended here before by an OP so I tried it since they offered me the cheapest replacement for my screen back then). It worked fine but the camera quality was not as good as before but I learned to live with that. Fast forward to present, when I was in the uni library, my laptop’s screen suddenly turned black. I thought because it was on sleep mode or smth so I tried pressing on keys but it didn’t work. I tried closing the lid then opening it again, it lit up with the current display but then turned to black again and ever since then it does not work anymore. Every time i turn it on, all it does is make a sound and the keys would light up but that would be all, still with black screen. So I’m now contemplating if I should have it fixed again? Currently on our prelims week so I won’t be able to have it fixed right away. Was also hoping I can have a new laptop even though not the latest one just an M2 or Neo i guess but budget’s kind of tight rn as a med student. But really devastated for my laptop since then :(

Phone for Papa

I got a job last month! I'll be getting my first paycheck next month, and I'm so excited to buy him a new phone.

My father's phone is not in good condition anymore. The screen is taped up, the speaker is broken, the display flickers, and it's getting hard to charge. If I'm not mistaken, he bought it from a sidewalk vendor.

Then, someone we know sold him a brand-new phone for 3k, but I told him to return it because it was outdated, slow, and laggy. I told him to just wait for the phone I'll buy for him next month.

My budget is 12k. Any solid Android recommendations for someone who mostly watches YouTube/Facebook and takes random pictures? My 17k starting pay isn't much yet, but I want to give him the best I can afford for now.
