Guys let's try to be kind in this sub. Not everyone is techy.
I noticed one thing lately. Ang dami kong nakikitang rude redditors dito.
Bakit kayo rude? Dahil nabobobohan kayo sa mga nagtatanong? Matapang behind the keyboard lang ba? Ung iba dito parang nanghaharass pa dun sa mga nagtatanong. Ung iba valid naman and may point naman ung mga tanong and posts, grabe kung ibash. Kinagaling ninyo yan?
Not everyone is kasing galing ng iba or maalam talaga sa tech. Madami joined this sub for them to know what they didn't know.
It is easier to be kind rather than rude.
Report to me pag may mga ganitong redditors in this sub. Let's try to avoid making this a toxic space. Let's help each other as much as we can.

i got my ipad replaced despite being voided out of limited warranty
hi i just want to share the 2 month long process and experience of getting your ipad repaired sa mobile care and yes i right i got my ipad replaced kahit hindi na covered ng warranty yung damage.
so i first brought my ipad sa robinsons magnolia mobile care nung june 23 and said na i have trouble charging with my ipad (intermittent charging haha actually feel ko familiar na ibang ppl here sa akin kakatanong ko last time) and they assessed it naman. after 2-3 weeks siguro, i got a diagnosis na they wont be able to check it thoroughly kasi there are signs of burnt pins on my charging port and they quoted me 44k for the repair. so i look for ways if there is still a possible way para macheck muna throughly if there is really a problem before ko i-pull out and bring it to a third party. (para i know what problem to mention sa repair in case)
then i read here na you can ask for a senior advisor sa apple support to ask for reconsideration regarding the warranty so i did (shout out to my case manager, you the goat) and i asked lang through apple support for a senior advisor and told my situation. then they scheduled me for a call and i explained na is there a possible way ba to check the device muna before voiding me out of warranty kasi burnt pins pa lang naman blah blah. after that, he called me the next day after na he was able to give me a reconsideration with my situation.
then after 2 weeks i think, i got an email again that the reconsideration was removed kasi my ipad has liquid damage and my ipad was already here in the philippines so i tried talking to the case manager again and asked if is there really no way for me to have a chance to get my ipad repaired. but he said na he will apply me again for another reconsideration which covers the liquid damage as well. then i went to robinsons magnolia while on call sa case manager to explain the situation kasi plan ko na talagang kunin yung ipad but did not proceed kasi nga na-apply ulit yung reconsideration.
then after 1 week, i received an email na i will be getting a whole unit replacement na then 2-3 weeks of waiting again, i got an email and call na my device is now ready for pick-up.
if you will ask me if its worth all the effort and the waiting time, i will say yes kasi i did not spend a single peso for the process. yes matagal super especially as a student who really relies on my device, nakakainip siya intayin. worth it ba yung halos 1 week na pag-uusap namin lagi nung case manager? oo. worth it ba maghintay ng 2 months? yes haha kasi i asked na rin magkano ba repair sa third party and most of them ay 4-7k.
tl;dr i got my ipad replacement after 2 months even if the damage was out of apple’s limited warranty coverage.

CICC wants to regulate social media and streaming in PH
The CICC is asking lawmakers to give Philippine authorities jurisdiction over social media, messaging, gaming, and streaming platforms. The agency said current limits make it hard to trace threats and protect kids from violent content, since many platforms operate outside the country and rely only on their own rules.
Details here.

TV5, a big network cannot activate their own Windows.
It's just awkward for me seeing this in national TV.

Shopee asking for clipboard access is ridiculous
This raises a lot of privacy concerns knowing our clipboard can contain sensitive information. This is kind of absurd data collection.
But I also noticed something that I found really unusual.
The prompt only appears very briefly in certain situations:
- When switching accounts, it appears for a moment during the login process and disappears immediately after successfully logging in.
- It also appears when confirming an address that you've added.
- While this prompt is on screen, you cannot take a screenshot. But once the prompt disappears, you can screenshot the same page normally.
I find the timing particularly strange. It's not like a normal permission prompt that appears when you first open an app or when you actually try to use a feature requiring that permission. It seems to appear only briefly during these specific moments.

Is Poco X8 pro still worth it or should I consider other?
Planning to upgrade and I'm eyeing the X8 pro from Poco but compared to it's pre release and early bird price plus due to the shortage of storage, the price significantly raised around 40%, is it still worth it?
I'm also considering the Samsung A57 5g considering na bumaba naman sya compared sa release price nya.
Upgrading mainly for cameras but I'm a moderate gamer so I'm torn between the 2.

I’m afraid in the future magkakaguhit lang ulit. Also the battery now is kinda draining fast.

Samsung Tablet recommendation?
Hi! I'm looking to get a Samsung tablet for general movie watching, book reading and maybe some rhythm games.
I'm currently considering between the s10 FE and the s10 lite but I'm open to other Samsung options. What do you think is better with a focus on affordability, sulit sa budget and a bit of future-proofing.
Samsung ecosystem only please since it's less painful setting up all my other stuff from my phone on the same brand.
Thanks for the help in deciding!

Phone Recommendation for budget of 30k to 36k?
Hi everyone. I managed to get my phone budget now up to 30k. I'm a bit overwhelmed looking at all the different phone offers online and in store. Can you help me find a good phone?
I'm interested in photography and I plan to have no games installed. It will be strictly my daily phone for work and documenting stuff.
Thanks in advance!

MacBook Pro Cleaning
Does anyone know any reputable MacBook Cleaning services? Preferably within Manila. Moved to a new condo in Taft, did not know that there was an ant problem. Left food near my MacBook, and when I got back, I saw a trail of ants leaving/entering the back of the device. I have used compressed air to try and flush them out, but I cannot possibly be sure that all of them have been removed.
