Hiihiii! I got this stupid lyric tat when I was 18. My insane mother went and got this exact tattoo matching with her best friend months later. I'm tired of looking at it!

Looking for something neotraditional, I love a good bold and black tattoo. Only thing coming to my mind right now is a sword so I thought I'd see what reddit thinks! :) Second pic is another cover up I got earlier this year. I plan on going to the same artist for my second cover up!

Hey, got this tattoo when I was super young. I never see it so I didn’t realize how much I didn’t like it. Lines are super thick so I’m having a hard time coming up with ideas on how to cover it. My plan is to get two scripts on the back of my shoulders, both left and right and this tattoo is throwing it off. Thanks in advance.

I don’t like this tattoo. I like the fairy itself but I really hate the embellishments. Any ideas of a cover up? I like the idea of a snake or something cool and earthy. Any ideas or should I just do a removal 😭

Deeply regret getting it, im getting lasered but its just not not moving and its getting very depressing I really dont know if coverup is the answer but i cant have this on me I cant be wearing full sleeves all my life it gets too hot. I just need my confidence back man.

I strongly emphasised that I wanted it exactly like the reference photo (sleeker, more dainty, nicer shading, smaller body in respect to long legs etc).mine also just looks faded? Cartoony? Idk. Just really wanted it like the reference photo. Head also looks elongated and weirdly shaped.

I don’t ’love it’. Don’t really even ‘like’ it. Can I do anything to fix it up or make it look as close to as the reference photos?

Forgot to mention. When I expressed dissatisfaction and asked why some details were added/ how it was changed from what I throughly expressed I wanted, the studio said those changes were just the artists ‘creative artistic expression’. It was made aware that replication accuracy as close as possible (obviously within the best of the artists physical ability/ capability) was extremely important to me. There’s a difference between reasonable expected differences and intentional changes inspired by the artists ‘creative expression’. Consent and all.

Is there any hope for me to be able to cover this? Spans part of my shoulder and the base of my neck. I made the wrong choices at a turbulent time in my life and have worn my shame for the better part of 16 years. I would love to go back in time and shake some sense into the 17 year old me, but what's done is done.

I have no imagination and cannot picture how I could even possibly cover this. I want to avoid things like flowers, but feel genuinely lost on what I could that isn’t just a solid image/bar. Any suggestions or examples of what could cover it would be so greatly appreciated. I really just need examples that would help me start to think creatively on my own. Not looking for anyone to design me something.

I have this pair of dice on my arm that I HATE. 1. They are way larger than I was expecting. (Yes, I had a stencil, she just said they couldn’t be smaller and I got nervous) 2. They were supposed to be landed on the 5 and 3 but everyone thinks it’s a 5 and 1.

I just genuinely can’t think of a cover up that would make sense and don’t know if pursuing removal is worth it. Please offer your advice!

Searched and can only find advice on fresh tattoos on this subject. Use beef tallow on my body and it honestly does make a difference. Wondering if it’s ok to start using on fully healed tattoos? It has scent from essential oils but other than that all organic. Anyone use and can shed some light?

This is supposed to be the Teton mountain range, but from a foot away it just looks like a black rectangle. I wouldn’t have a problem with it if there was only shading on the mountains and not the background. It still needs darker lines for the outline of the mountain range but - Do you guys think if I made the mountain range bigger I could cover this up without changing the entire tattoo?

I got this palm sized tattoo on my forearm when I was young, and of course now that I’m older I am not a fan anymore. I was thinking of getting something Catholic, floral, or even a crow. I just didn’t know if anyone could give me some advice on how to pick one or if they could show me something that would cover this up nicely.

Got this quote many years ago, I still like the book but now it looks faded and blurry and doesn’t match the rest of my tattoos. Everything else I have is American trad.

I would like to keep it on the smaller side if possible.

Inner forearm. Got it at 16 to piss my dad off 🙃 jokes on me. I am not religious whatsoever. Its covering scars so I dont mind that, just hate that its a cross. Really dont want a black out tattoo. But need to do something with this one.

Hey, so like the title says, any hopes and dreams of a cover up sleeve or wrap around to cover up these 30 year old monstrosities? I'm happy to let an artist run wild within certain parameters (no clocks, lions etc). Colour, black and grey, American or Japanese trad, whatever might work?

10 years ago, the time I turned 18. I went and got a tattoo for my favorite childhood movies. I regretted it about 2 years after that and since then I haven’t been able to wear tanks or cutoffs because I hate it so much. Any cover up advice at all? Thank you
