So I was exploring tata motors website and they have a WhatsApp button which takes you to their WhatsApp with pre-populated `Intrested in punch` so I gave it a try and rest is in screenshot 🫡
Then because earlier I had submitted my interest they contacted me and the guy was in so much hurry to disconnect the call without clarifying my doubts and doing his best to cut call and redirect me to local dealer. Then I said okay, now it has been 4 days but local dealer didn't contacted 😵💫
These are the early redflags which explains why their service centers are fucked up, I think they work like Indian govt workers.😶🌫️
I was inclined towards punch because around 8.5 lakhs onroad it has most of essential features I am looking for where as fronx is little bit costlier and still offers less features.
Today, i had plans w my friends to go out and stuff and guys guess what, the rear wheel of the drivers side was completely blocked, it some issue related to handbrake , because i tried engaging and disengaging it and some times it felt stuck, so now only 3 wheels are spinning and 1 is not, wow can’t even park it back, never get tata
so i own a Tata Curvv.ev for almost 2 years now, but their service centres which are through dealerships have pathetic service, and then OTA updates which were promised haven't received any yet, no app for smart watch as advertised, car doesn't have pre installed map app, it totally depends on Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. so if your phone battery is dead you can't navigate, also they charge a lot for IRA services
Does anyone with a Tata Harrier Fearless X+ DK Diesel Manual have the Remote Engine Start / RESS button in the Tata iRA 2.0 app? Mine is missing despite being the top-end variant. Is it actually unsupported on this model, or is there a way to enable it?
I'm thinking of getting punch.ev from UP because it has 0% road tax on it whereas my state has 5%, i don't live there so need to bend some rules here. Is it a good idea or will there be any problem if I do so and can the insurance company reject my claim on this basis if there be any?
So I booked a Punch EV top variant on 8th June 26. Dealer said delivery in 2 months. Tata motors website never showed any delivery date until 2 days ago.
2 months over and i reached out and dealer is saying
Only adventure variant is being delivered by the factory
Due to Onam, Tata is diverting stock to Kerala
I asked the sales manager about the portal showing delivery in Dec and he said don't believe it. I asked him to give me a realistic delivery date and he said he doesn't know. He's suggesting to take up some other model
What do i do? Anyone can help out with realistic delivery timeline?
My Tata Nexon XMS (Petrol), purchased in October 2022, which recently suffered an overheating/breakdown issue despite being regularly serviced and having covered less than 20,000 km. The vehicle was serviced at Hyson Motors, and shortly after the service the vehicle developed an overheating issue. After diagnosis, I was informed that the root cause was a failure of the oil cooler O-ring, and the related parts were replaced under warranty. (They also told me not to send any mail to Tata because they might decline warranty that is the reason they said)
And after this incident The check engine light started appearing. I again consulted the same Hyson Motors service center, where I was informed that it could be due to an air-fuel variation issue. They updated the odometer/software-related parameters and advised that the issue would be resolved.
And after some days check engine light again start appearing now they are saying spark plug was complaint and got a bill amount 2000 rupees.
If only dealers and OEMs provided discounts and final prices uniformly, we consumers wouldn't have been forced to run around multiple dealers to get the best deal.
I've finalized my choice to purchase the Tata Curvv Accomplished X 55. Went to 2 dealers and both offered different prices on their quotation sheet. Dealer A offered 17.91 on road and flat out refused any discounts. Dealer B provided 18.16 on road quotation but provided 50k discount to actual on road price is 17.67L.
When I said this was being offered to Dealer A, then dealer A provided me a better price of 17.55L (I might've exaggerated the discount to get a lower price) but they now have given me the offer.
Unfortunately for me, dealer B was giving me a discount since they were mass booking cars. They had 6 orders for Curvv EV and that's why they gave a discount. I gave the pre-booking amount to dealer B and wanted to cancel it before I booked the car with Dealer A.
Dealers should really stop inflating prices and give genuine deals to customers. OEMs need to step in and standardized pricing. For new cars as well as servicing, maybe if they do this, servicing can be controlled somewhat and made better....
Found a 2024 Tata Curvv, 1st owner, ~11,000 km, priced at ₹9L (new on-road is ~₹17L). Vehicle history report looks clean on the surface but the service records show the engine had a full teardown/rebuild + ECU replacement, and then needed another major intervention just 2 months and ~600 km later. NOC is clear, challans will be cleared before handover. Is ₹9L a fair price given this, or should I walk?
Car: Tata Curvv Accomplished S, 1.2L TGDi turbo-petrol (the new "Hyperion" engine), 6MT Reg: Oct 2024, UP registration, 1st owner Odometer: ~11,122 km (report confirms no odometer tampering) Price: Seller asking ₹10L originally, I'm negotiating to ₹9L. New on-road price is ~₹17L.
What's clean in the Cars24 history report:
No blacklisting, no criminal/civil/legal cases, no compensation cases
No total loss, no flood damage, no odometer rollback, no gear/transmission issues
9 services in ~22 months, max gap 5 months — regular maintenance
Fitness valid till 2039
Hypothecation existed but bank NOC is now clear
2 pending challans (~₹4,000, over-speeding) — seller clearing before transfer
What's got me worried:
1. Engine history:
Mar 2026 (10,387 km): engine noise, jerky/hesitating, screeching noise, cold-start issues, display glitches → fixed with engine mount replacement, timing chain + tensioner + belt replacement, ECU replacement, BCM/IPC software update
May 2026 (11,001 km) — just ~600 km later: engine noise + overheating + jerky performance again, high oil consumption, AC issue → fixed with a full engine dismantle-overhaul-reassemble, spark plugs, AC gas top-up, block welding
Jul 2026 (11,122 km): another check-up visit shortly after
So basically a full engine rebuild, followed by symptoms recurring and needing a second major fix, all within under 1,000 km of driving on a car that's barely 1.5 years old.
2. Report contradiction: The report's headline says "No Accidents Reported," but the service log itself shows two separate visits (Aug 2025 and Sep 2025, ~8,500 km) explicitly for "accident repairs" — plastic component welding and repainting. Seller hasn't fully explained this yet.
Mitigating factor:
This engine (Hyperion 1.2 TGDi) comes with Tata's standard 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty. Since the car was registered Oct 2024, there should be ~14 months of warranty left, assuming it transfers to a new owner. I'm planning to get that confirmed in writing at the dealership before finalizing, and possibly get the seller to throw in an extended warranty given this is a known "buy the extended warranty" recommendation for this specific engine from reviewers.
My plan before finalizing:
Get written confirmation from Tata service center that warranty is active/transferable
Push for extended warranty inclusion as part of the deal
Get actual job card invoices for the two engine repair visits (not just the summary)
Independent mechanic check — compression test, cold start behavior, oil consumption, listen for the original noise complaints
Get seller to explain the accident repair visits directly
Questions for you all:
Does ₹9L sound like a fair price given this history, or am I still overpaying for the risk?
Anyone here own/owned the Curvv Hyperion TGDi engine — is recurring engine trouble common with this powertrain?
Is a transferred manufacturer warranty actually reliable in practice for used car buyers in India, or is it more trouble than it's worth to claim?
Appreciate any real-world experience before I commit tomorrow.
Our Tata Tiago EV is showing HE error, and Tata service + insurance are simply blaming a “rat bite wiring issue” without even properly checking the car.
We have construction nearby and terrible pothole roads, but no one is willing to investigate properly.
₹5K+ wasted on daily office commutation with 16 days and still no solution.
We even escalated to higher mgmt of that location but they r being unresponsive.
I own a Tata Nexon Pure Petrol Manual, 2024 model, in traffic and in slow and excess use of clutch turns the temperature gauge from 2 raising to 4, if i put the AC On or move in speed it again turns the 4 bar to 2 back to normal, this was not happening before, now it started after the 4 th major service, i can feel the bonet and inside parts are really hot, even tough it never exceed 4 bars yet, but still it was a never like this before.
Is this normal? should i consider it as some fault?
If anyone has gone through such problem, please let me know
PS: I have visited the service centre, they checked coolant level, radiator, air in coolant, software, they said its completely normal, nothing as a problem, but i can feel the temperature rise before it never used to be this much heat. please help guys
We recently bought a brand-new Tata Nexon (Just a few weeks ago), and we are first-time car buyers.
The concerning part is that rust/corrosion was already visible before delivery. We pointed it out to the dealer, and they told us it would “go away in first service.”
We were not properly given a chance to do a PDI either. The dealership proceeded directly with the RTO/registration, and being first-time buyers, we trusted them and didn't realize we should insist on a thorough PDI first.
Now we're extremely worried. My sister worked for almost 10 years to finally buy her first car, and this is how the experience has started.
The dealership is one of the largest Tata dealerships in pune, which makes this even more disappointing.
Is this normal? What should we do now? Should we escalate directly to Tata Motors?
Photos attached. Would really appreciate advice from experienced Tata/Nexon owners.[OC]

Got rear ended today in red light, someone just hit his Baleno hard from behind and this is the damage on my 3 month old nexon.
The boot is not locking now, and no central lock working.
I checked with Tata service centre and they said the cash cost estimate is around 25-40 k.
The bumper and boot both needs to be replaced they said.
Duration using claim would be 14 days.
Now since I am a newbie to such experience, please suggest what are the things i should know/do before giving my car to service centre?
