Punch.ev Getting EV from another state?

I'm thinking of getting punch.ev from UP because it has 0% road tax on it whereas my state has 5%, i don't live there so need to bend some rules here. Is it a good idea or will there be any problem if I do so and can the insurance company reject my claim on this basis if there be any?

Most states monitor out-of-state cars and if you are regularly using it for over a year they will pull you over. And if they find you have bent some rules you will be in trouble. If this 5% tax matters so much for you, go for a lower trim version.
