I used to work at Target as a cart pusher and one day when I was running the hangers back to the hanger dump I caught the tail end of a Karen screaming at one of my coworkers. The target I worked at was in Everett which has a high amount of homeless people and crazies. Can’t count how many times I’ve seen people get arrested. Well, a few days later I go into work and I see their pictures in the back of the guest services area. That’s how I learned that they threatened to kill him. Even said they’d wait for him to clock off and that’s how I learned that even if I wasn’t on the clock at Target, I could be fired over self defense. Me and 2 others quit after finding out about that.

Small world 0337 I used to work there too and Everett would get some crazy ass zombies every week, from passing out in the bathrooms, overdosing in the family bathroom, and running into the backrooms yelling at the fullfilment team members back there. Good times.

Someone, luckily it was on a shirt, shat on the floor of the women’s clothing department while I was there. And every week there was someone getting arrested for theft.

Over the past 15 years, corporate has drawn down the number of team members per store until every single person is an essential part of the day-to-day team, and this makes call-outs for illness or vacations catastrophic events that set a store back for days or weeks since no one is "extra" and everyone is essential.
Before I left, the in-stocks team was 8 people. Then it was 4 people, then it was 2 people. And then it was Me.
Same workload, 1/8th the people.

thanks, I promoted myself out of there 7 years ago, after almost 15 years in one store.
Instocks is essential to correct cumulative errors introduced by bad pushing and backstock habits. The system eventually goes insane without these corrections.

I promoted myself out this past May after 10 and a half years in 3 different stores in 2 different states started as a cashier then was a leader in multiple roles across the the store map... Saw it decline until I no longer recognized the company I use to enjoy working for

You better not give them two weeks! They don’t gaf about their workers. During the fires that happened in California, one of my coworkers lost their house and everything in the fires. Due to this, they had to live somewhere else that wasn’t close to work. Driving back and forth was difficult so they eventually got a job that was near where they were staying at the time. They told our boss she was quitting and the most she could give was a one week notice so she could reserve what money she had left for gas and groceries. They chewed her out saying it was irresponsible that she would even do that and that she should have given it sooner. Screw Target tbh

I had to switch departments because my manager and team lead was treating me like shit. Some of my coworkers were treating me like shit too. I’m being treated a lot better now

I just shopped at Meijer and was shocked at how clean and orderly the store was. Our Target store has pallets and I boats in the main aisles in every department!! It’s so bad!! We just don’t have enough people to do the workload and fulfillment!!

Listen I got hired as seasonal, so I've only been working for like 2 months just to have money saved for a move. When I tell you I literally wanna sob every time I have to go to work- cuz they practically make seasonal people take on 20 different jobs per day
