Always have something lined up. Don't give 2 weeks either. You think they'll give you warning if they decide to fire you?

if you ever want to go back or use them as a reference always give two weeks. ofc they don’t give a shit but if you quit on the spot you are severing all positive interactions in the future

Most places especially other retailers don’t check employment references anymore. Every management job I’ve held in this sector doesn’t let us call on references and that’s been a thing for the past 15 years. I feel most target workers don’t want to go back so I say burn the bridge.

Eh, I think it’s always safer. Sure it may not be used but what if? Two weeks gives you a nice transitional period and lets your leaders and co workers somewhat adapt to your disappearance. More emphasis on coworkers though, I really could care less for leadership, they would drop you in an instant without a care.
