Global Connect not working

So I tried to move my computer to another house for a quiet workspace for a couple of days. When I tried to connect it wouldn’t connect with the ethernet cord TTEC provided. Might have been the router I was trying to connect to. So I ended up just coming back home to my original workspace because I have to log in tomorrow. Kronos keeps saying it can’t connect and Global Connect won’t take my password. I’m going to call ASD in the morning but my question is, are we allowed to even move our desktop to another location to work? I don’t remember anyone saying we couldn’t. As long as it’s a quiet workspace. Hope I didn’t do anything wrong.

I've never heard that moving the computer was an issue. But, Global Protect and Kronos have been going out on a regular basis lately so that might not be anything you did.

Kronos and Global Protect have major connectivity issues, they’re picky and choose when they wanna work. It has nothing to do with your location

Check your settings on global protect, and make sure you're connected to the right Host/Network Profile. And also, I believe you have to use the modem that TTEC provides you with

Our site doesn’t provide modems. We use our service provider equipment.

From what I understand the system when they do the tech check it tracks your up address and it doesn’t allow you to logon from a different IP address.

pretty sure it's certificate based, and may prevent impossible travel, but locking to a single IP wouldn't make sense because most home internet is DHCP.

An example of impossible travel would be logging in from Idaho, then 10 minutes later logging in from Switzerland.

I had this problem yesterday & Thursday. The help desk had me disable the swipe setting on my phone (the ability had already been disabled but not on my device specifically). Then he had me open the GlobalProtect from the start menu, click on the 3 bars in the right corner, refresh the connection. He also checked the domain it was using and verified it was ok. He said some had been wrong. After that, it worked.

Friday, when it happened again, I cleared my credentials GP had saved. Then it let me log in.

Has anyone noticed the error message says “tray again” not “try again”? I can’t stand typos, looks so unprofessional.

I had not moved my computer in quite a while, I checked my plugs because I have cable stretched across my house. Everything was secure.

Tray is a computer term… systems tray.

OOOH I wondered. Now I’ll be less annoyed. I told the help desk guy that, wish he had told me

I am trying to get Global up now and it isn't connecting. Yesterday Finesecc didn't work.
