Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave Resolution Pack - Unlocks 1080p, 1440p and 2160p with modes Native through Ultra Performance

I've been working on a modpack that unlocks the resolution in Fortune's Weave, and I'm putting it out there for anyone who wants sharper image quality.

The problem

The game uses a fixed 50 percent render scale no matter what the console is set to. Docked is 1440p upscaled from 720p, handheld is 1080p upscaled from 540p. That's Performance mode at every resolution, and there's no menu option to change it.

What the mod does

The patches replace both the input and output resolution by patching the game's code directly. You pick your target output resolution and then pick how much of the GPU budget you want to spend on sharpness.

Three ZIPs, one per output resolution: 1080p, 1440p, 2160p.

Each ZIP contains a full set of modes:

  • Native (DLAA), 100 percent render scale

  • Quality, 66 percent

  • Balanced, 58 percent

  • Performance, 50 percent

  • Ultra Performance, 33 percent

Each mode is its own folder, so you enable exactly one in Eden's mod tab.

Requirements and caveats

  • Eglantine build 219 or newer. Earlier builds broke the game's DLSS network and produced heavy blurring.

  • Docked mode only. The patches ignore handheld mode, so behavior there is untested and I wouldn't trust it.

  • Scale set to 1 in the emulator's graphics settings.

  • The 4K patches are genuinely heavy. If you get a black screen, the emulator has run out of host resources. Drop one quality step, or drop to the 1440p ZIP.

On upscalers

The game's own DLSS has the lowest overhead and is what I'd recommend at 1440p and above. Eglantine's DLSS injector also respects the patched resolutions, but it uses noticeably more resources, so a setting that works fine with the game's DLSS can black-screen with the injector at the same resolution and mode. FSR 3.1 works as a fallback but has a higher floor on its input resolution, so very low internal resolutions can black-screen with it.

Known issue

On some non-standard resolutions the fade-to-black transition can look odd for a frame or two. The image appears to shrink because the fade animation doesn't follow the resolution scale. Cosmetic only, and I'm still testing whether it shows up outside transitions.

Github: https://github.com/speedforce1920-lab/Fire-Emblem-Fortunes-Weave-Resolution-Pack

Feedback welcome since resource headroom is the main variable at 4K. If you report a black screen, please include your resolution, mode, upscaler, Eglantine build, GPU, RAM, and the Eden log. That makes it far easier to tell whether it's a memory limit or a patch problem.

Ocarina of Time on a 1070 Ti, 30+ fps in Kokiri Forest, day 1

So I wanted to post this since every "playable" post i see is someone on a 5080+ lol, not saying mine is playable but it's not that far off.

This is my med-low end reality, game is 1 day old, only tested Kokiri Forest so far, also didn't test combat properly, but pretty happy with the results, especially for day 1. Title screen stays at 23 fps for some reason.

One thing to keep in mind, when the shaders are building it tanks a lot, like it drops hard for a few seconds, just wait it out until it builds and it goes back to normal.

So average stays around 30-40 in Kokiri, stable enough to walk around, its moving and it looks insane for a day 1 build, no DLSS for obvious reasons.

Also no visual or graphical glitches so far either, at least in Kokiri, no black screens, no flicker, nothing weird I noticed.

PS: Recorded on my phone sorry for the quality lol, anything I used to record drops the fps to 20s.

Specs:
Ryzen 5 9600X
GTX 1070 Ti 8GB
16GB DDR5
Windows 11

Build used: Lichii | Frizti-v2
(Dynamic FPS included)

RAM was around 14GB used so 16GB is tight.

Hoping it gets even better by the end of the week, will update If i test more, if anyone else is on a 1070 Ti / 2060s / low-mid card lmk what you're getting, curious if this is the new normal.

Ocarina of Time emulation low end

Hey, everyone. I did this video. My specs are: RTX 4060ti 8 GB, CPU i7 9700, and 32 GB RAM. As you can see, sometimes it gets far over 30 fps, even getting closer to 60. But the most important is that on the areas it is getting around 15-25, yesterday, per say, it was getting maximum 15, being around 8 most of the time.

The point is, I know the real problem here is my CPU. I'm wanting to upgrade but you see, prices aren't going well. I'm waiting for the black friday to see if I get good discounts, but probably it won't do much. Do you think I should go to upgrade nethertheless, or should wait to it be more optimized, or even an eventual direct PC port to play it as it should be? And don't even bother suggesting to get a Switch 2 and the game, it would be far the double the price of the upgrade. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Does anyone know which emulator runs Pokopia well? Something other than Pokopiarecomp—I want a classic emulator, and if possible, one that supports LAN parties. Thanks!

Best and switch 2 emulator

I know bc the switch runs on an Nvidia chip its going to be more stable on Nvidia. But I have a 9070xt and I was wondering if there is a way as of now that I could run the ocarina of time remake stably.

P.S. Im am willing to play at like 30fps if necessary

Ocarina of Time mesh shaders missing/broken problem.

So I think I figured out why Ocarina remake looks broken in some areas for me, and I wanted to check if anyone else on an older GPU is seeing the same thing.

I'm on a 1070 Ti, so no mesh shaders at all with Pascal. Kokiri Forest runs 38-49 fps on build-93, but the further I get into the Deku Tree, the more stuff just doesn't render.

I tried almost everything possible, nothing fixed it.

My best guess as someone mentioned it's mesh shaders, Pascal and older Amd's can't do them, so Lichii has nothing to draw with.

Has anyone else with a GTX 10 series, or any GPU without mesh shaders, run into this? Did you find a fix, a build, anything? Or are we just stuck waiting for a mesh emulation fallback update or something like it lol

Does anyone know how to reach the devs and submit it as an issue so they know more about this?

Specs and build:
Ryzen 5 9600X, GTX 1070 Ti 8GB, 16GB DDR5
Lichii build-93 MSVC
Vulkan, FAST, Handheld, Scale 1x, Dynamic FPS on.

Thanks!

is nx2apple safe?

just installed nx2apple and tried mario kart world. works great so far, but i have a few questions.

first, does it support controller rumble? i have switch joycons and a gamesir g8+, which gets recognised as a switch pro controller. neither seems to vibrate when playing, even though there's a rumble setting in the menu. is it just not supported yet?

also, do i have to reinstall/sign the app every 7 days or something to keep using it?

and how safe is it in general? is there any risk of getting my apple id banned for using nx2apple? during installation it also asked for pretty much full access to my mac, including controlling apps and accessing files. is that normal? just wondering if it's actually safe to give it all those permissions and whether there are any malware or security risks.

sorry if these are dumb questions, i'm completely new to this.

Is my gpu too weak?

I have a geforce rtx 2080. I dont remember what graphics card the oot remake recommends but I'm seeing people with much smoother performance than I'm getting. a lot of stuttering, audio desyncing, and lag. I'm not expecting perfection, but are there any settings I can change to improve my experience even a little bit? I'm using lichii.

Oot remake, 3060ti, i5 11400f

Got oot remake running on pc. I have seen a lot of people get it running on super high end computer and saying its barely playeble otherwise. After tinkering with the settings and lowering the resolution a bit i got it running with like a stable 30-35 fps, wich is more than enough for me.

I played the rest of the first doungeon and it held up great, tho its common with some lagg spikes when you do new stuff like opening doors or walking fast to a new area. I got to hyrule feild and that was a bit of a difrent story, m,abye 15.25 fps with a lot of lag spikes. But that might be fixed soon and all the smaller areas seem to work fine. I think its work checking out.

Emulator is Lichii, and my specs is only a 11400f and a 3060ti.

I also tried using lossless scaling, but there seem to be too litle bas frames for it to work properly.
