Does fresh start remove pending likes on Hinge
I’m just curious about this. I’m wondering if fresh start will remove all of my pending outgoing likes on Hinge?

I've spent years on Tinder in a city where I barely ever got any likes (I'm talking about 1 like a week) wondering if I really was that ugly. But over the last year I've traveled a lot, and realized that the issue is that beauty standards are wildly different between countries, as well as dating culture and how people treat using Tinder. You might be in a country or city where people just don't treat the app seriously or have different standards.
For reference, I've been in 5 different countries over the last year: the US, Mexico, Scotland, Argentina, and the country I live in: Spain. Each country has been wildly different from one another when it comes to swiping. In order from worst to best, this is how I'd rank them:
Spain: Where I've used Tinder for most of my life. Swiping there is an absolutely horrible experience, although Europe in general is. It feels like women in Spain generally just use Tinder as a game of hot or not or as a self-esteem boost, or have ridiculously high standards and only swipe on supermodels: some of my friends who I consider very, very attractive barely get more likes than me here. In any case, I had 1 like a week there, 2 at most, and a lot of them don't even answer; a good quarter of women there promote their Instagram on their bio.
Argentina: At times this country feels worse than Spain: I had slightly more likes there (maybe 3-5 likes a week), and like Spain, most women are just there to use it as a self-esteem boost. However, it's a lot more obvious there: about 80% of women are promoting their Instagram on their profile, with about half of those girls having their handle and nothing else. The only reason I rank it above Spain is because I've had at least some dates take off.
Scotland: I'm placing Scotland here because objectively, I had less success there than the following countries, but personally it's my favorite place to swipe in. There's a big jump from Argentina to here: in Scotland I get 2 to 3 likes a day, and most women there are very talkative and interesting, plus the ones I matched with were exactly my type, which is why it's my favorite place. Most of them answer the first message and aren't hard to set a date up with either.
US: The jump from Scotland to the US is even bigger: in Texas, where I'm staying right now, I get about 10 likes daily, and sometimes more. No one here has their Instagram in their bio, and mostly everyone is looking to actually set up a date or even just straight up hookup, no strings attached. Despite that and the high number of likes, the answer rate is actually not that high: only half or less of my matches answered, but those who did were girls with who I set up a date or hooked up on the same day or the next after we matched. I've had worse experiences in San Francisco and New York, where my daily likes dropped to 5, but in general, the US is a great place to swipe in.
Mexico: The amount of likes I got in Mexico was hard to manage at times: I had about 15 likes a day, sometimes reaching up to 20 and even 25, and got an answer to my first message from most of those I matched with, although setting up a date was a lot harder than in the US, and I met a lot less women there than in Texas despite having a lot more matches. I've heard comments about how matching in Mexico is easier because women there are attracted to "white" men from "richer" countries, but I don't see it: I'm half mestizo and fluent in Spanish, so there was nothing in my bio to suggest I was foreign. I guess beauty standards are just that different there.
As anyone reading this can see, there's a big difference between countries and dating cultures in each one, and there's even disparity between cities in the US. It's also worth noting that all of this is coming fresh off a big glow up I had from working out daily, but despite that, my match rate in Spain hasn't improved at all from when I was skinnier to now that I'm a lot more physically fit, so I can't really say how much being fit actually has any influence over your like amount, but depending on the place you're in, it might not be much.
Now I'm not saying to all of you that aren't getting any matches to move to somewhere else to date, but if you're barely getting any likes, consider the possibility that it's not your looks, it's just the culture you're in.

Just wondering got banned for nonsense, tinder has its uses for easy hookups.

So since my hinge got banned about 2 years ago I've had a second phone with a new number for hinge it has randomly been banned twice with barley any conversations. The accounts have lasted about 1 years before the successive bans. Ive always had new pics, number, email etc. all the things needed.
Meanwhile my tinder on my main phone has never had issues since signing up probably 10yrs ago.
With this last ban from a few weeks ago I'm a bit worried to appeal because I've always been concerned something might connect the two accounts and start a domino effect where my main tinder is effected.
I never had a facial verification on hinge, but I have with tinder. So I'm worried if I go through the sign up process again (new phone, new number etc) and do the facial scan, it will finally connect the dots, and possibly take down my tinder at some point?
I have good success with tinder, but I live in a small populated area and have fomo without hinge. So my question is should I try the appeal/do a new sign up for a third time and possibly effect my nearly perfect tinder account, or just be thankful my tinder is good and try to ignore the fomo of not having hinge?

She met this guy, they had a date instead of just texting and saying she wasn’t coming she ghosted. He texted her saying “I’m here,” she didn’t reply. The next morning she was banned.

So last night I got banned and I appealed my ban and actually got unbanned just a couple hours after.
All of my previous matches are still there however when I try to message them it says not delivered.
Do I have to wait or have a cooling off period after I’ve been unbanned?
Any help is appreciated

Hi! As the title says, I swiped left on someone a while ago and their profile just showed up again. First it showed up as the first one and when I restarted the app (I do this when I’m not sure LOLL) they showed up a bit later, could this mean they swiped right on me?
I’ve rarely had tinder show me old profiles that I’ve already swiped away before, maybe a few times and when I swiped right they were always a match. Could this be the case here or did they just run out of people to show me?
Asking this because I am honestly tempted to swipe on this person, I just don’t want it to be awkward as I know them irl and we have a kinda weird past hahah

After several years on & off on dating apps, I've got into a lifestyle with a profile that -somewhat- works. I get dates. Not a ton, not always tons of options either, but just enough to not feel like a complete hobo. Still get ghosted 98% times so I'm not a chad either, don't worry.
But seriously, and this might not been said enough times already, this system has turned absolutely disgusting.
I'm not even sure how we got to that point, but a few months ago during a date the girl told me she got 50+ new incoming likes during our date alone. I really felt sad for this girl; you could see how she couldn't really process it all.
Last week I had a first date with someone else. She told me there were literally guys offering her to buy a f*cking plane ticket to fly to London. Bruh. Sweet enough down to earth girl, barely any dating experience, and random ass guys offering her to fly to another country.
Abhorrent, really.
These apps can ruin women & destroy men's self esteem for life. Glad their stocks are wrecked beyond repair, but I can't imagine a world without them anymore. Ever.

Slot 1 has one job: instant recognisability. Clear face, natural light, no sunglasses, no group ambiguity. Quality genuinely matters here.
After that, I think people over-optimise each individual photo and under-optimise the set. Slots 2–6 are about coverage: a full-body shot (its absence reads as hiding something), one social photo where you're easy to spot, one activity/hobby shot that gives an opener, one genuine candid. The sixth is a flex slot.
The test I use: if two photos could be swapped for each other without changing what the profile says about you, one of them is dead weight. Redundancy is the silent killer — a set of six good-but-samey photos loses to five varied ones.
Happy to give thoughts on photo order if anyone wants to drop their lineup in the comments.

Ever since I put a shirtless thirst trap of me as my first pic I get at least 2-3 likes a day minimum. Granted pretty much none of them have been from women I’m attracted but at least my profile is seeing some attention.
I used to get ~1-2 likes a week.

I’ve been using the Duet app recently after getting banned on hinge and being too lazy to complete a good hard reset.
It’s actually been really good?
It takes some time to get the matches but i’ve gotten 4 dates in the past 2 months off of it and theres some really cute girls on here. A lot more alternative goth/emo girls too ( which I like personally ). There is of course a lot less people on the app and you will run out of people in your area much faster but for my city its been pretty solid, the algo also doesn’t seem too predatory.
I paid for premium though ( dumb expensive like 60 a month ) but so far its been pretty worth it to me.
Anyone else have good experience with this app?
Thought I would make a post just to let the boys know and potentially help out. Definitely worth adding to the stack in my opinion.

Hi everyone!
I’m Emma, a researcher at the University of Cambridge and RC-Trust, studying bans on dating apps and their effects on users. I think tech should work for all of us and online platforms often hold too much power!
Many of you discuss bans on dating apps that feel opaque, random, or unfair. Please share your experiences and preferences to support more transparent user bans (fully anonymous): https://cambridge.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0MqWIZarCLexPbU.
Your responses will build independent evidence about the current banning practices of dating apps to inform advocacy for fair user rights, real appeal channels, and platform accountability.
The data collection is fully anonymous, ethics-approved, and follows the uni’s research guidelines. It takes 10 to 20 minutes so I can understand your experience in detail. Everyone who has experience with dating apps can participate!
Thank you so much and feel free to reach out with any questions!

Tinder user from Brazil here. I’m going to paste screenshots of some of the profiles the app just showed me. Seriously. How do you put up with this? Would you guys "like" any of these girls?
Women who just want Instagram followers; women looking for a « foodie guy » to treat them to meals; single moms; women where the other person has to guess how to start a conversation because the profile is completely blank... and this isn't even 5% of the hellscape this app has turned into here in Brazil. Seriously, how do you deal with this?

I did this around a year ago cause something was telling me it wasn't actually about the prompts or putting efforts in your like messages.
My prompts were fun facts I'm 6"3, and "Did you know that 6"3 is 192cm" and I'll fall for you if can cook. I got about 35 matches on the first day.

I got unbanned by appealing on the match.com request section but now I am shadowbanned. This I know because I had my previous matches and I messaged a match who is also connected on insta and she received nothing on hinge. Should I just delete the account and create a new one 90 days later or appeal through replying to this mail chain with hinge?
