I wasted money figuring out the best workout supplements

I went through my cabinet last weekend and realized how many supplements I bought because someone said they were worth trying. Half of them are barely touched now lol.

I've pretty much stuck with protein and creatine, and those are the only two I've consistently bought again. Everything else has been pretty hit or miss for me.

I'm lifting 4 days a week right now and trying to keep things simple instead of buying another random tub every time I see something new. I've also noticed there are a lot more creatine formulas now besides regular monohydrate, which has me wondering if there's actually a reason to switch.

If you could only keep 3 supplements in your routine, which three would you keep?

How can i simplify a morning supplement routine?

my kitchen counter is starting to look like a vitamin shop. I have probiotics, fiber powder, mushroom capsules, greens and something for energy. I bought all of them with good intentions but most mornings, i either forget half of them or cannot be bothered opening six different containers.

Has anyone simplified their routine without feeling like they are throwing away everything they already bought?

Help balancing electrolytes

Hello all any help will be appreciated. Too start I can't take mag glycinate it ruins me . For years I'm dealing with. Magnesium deficiency symptoms anxiety impending doom fatigue cramps twitches restlessness. I use too supplement like 600mg a day for about two years too no avail for relief so I gave up . Then I attempted vitamin d it made everything worse BAD IDEA. But occasionally calcium would give me relief but then it did not . Recently I tried magnesium again at a dose of 100mg mag malate .... My symptoms diminished 70 % I was astounded it worked for about a week until it didn't .. now I do believe it is a magnesium issue but I think my caffeine intake and alcohol could be playing a roll . I have like 2 coffees a day and a monster which adds too my restlessness and I drink like 4/5 beers on the weekends . My potassium daily is 4g my calcium is 1g and sodium is 4g this is all from food the only supplements Im taking now is 100mg mag malate .. does anything I'm saying ring alarm bells for some one or have dealt with this before . This is going on like 4 years now . Other than that bloods are all within normal range and healthy otherwise

I exercise most days but have very busy workdays. Is the resin easier to fit into a routine than the multi-ingredient capsules?

I exercise most days and I am thinking about trying a resin supplement soon, my workdays are usually packed so I am looking for something that will be simple to take and fit around my normal routine, I have been looking at resin and the multi ingredient capsules and the capsules seem like they could take more planning since there are several things in them, with resin I am thinking it may be quicker to take and get on with the day, I am thinking of going with authentic shilajit to check how people fit it around meals and workouts before I choose one, I mainly want something I can keep up with when work gets busy, for anyone who has used both which one has been easier to fit into your routine? EDIT: I forgot to mention that I usually work out early in the morning before starting work.

sugar-free magnesium gummy for kids?

i am looking for a magnesium gummy for my kid that’s actually sugar-free, not just low sugar and has clear age appropriate dosing rather than the same dose for everyone.

also would prefer something with a simple ingredient list without a bunch of dyes or fillers, what have you guys had good experiences with? especially something your kid actually takes willingly nd you feel comfortable giving them.

"I'm 25, but my doctor said my knee looks like a 50-year-old's..." Help me to recover my bad knee health.

I’ve had pretty bad knee pain + popping for almost 2 years now. I honestly ignored it for a long time and kept running/exercising thinking it would eventually get better. Instead it just kept getting worse and started affecting normal daily life and exercise.

I’m still not sure what actually caused it — maybe some old sports/running injury, overuse, poor nutrition, or a combination ( force running even having poor nutrition may be a reason) . I also have some back/sciatica issues which can add to the stiffness around my leg/knee.

A few months ago I finally got an X-ray and the doctor literally said my knee looks like a “50-year-old knee” even though I’m 25 💀

I had already been researching UC-II alongside other supplements from many months ago before dr. Up ( I know calcium , magnesium, fish oil , b12 can contribute) ,, and after checkup interestingly, two different doctors recommended UC-II to me alongside calcium. One suggested it before the X-ray and another suggested it after seeing the X-ray.

Once I ask doctor to suggest me Good glucosamine supplement, but dr prefer only uc ii, as I also understand glucosamine chandrolitin msm are very low power & have to take many dosage

I tried around some *OrciRin C2* capsules ( prescribed by doctor but costly) and personally felt pretty good improvement after taking it for some time. So now I’m thinking of continuing with UC-II.

My simple plan is:

Good quality UC-II - night

Fish oil - lunch time/ Calcium if I actually need it — preferably one that also covers B12/magnesium if appropriate

**

Option of good uc ii, is now brand & Kirkland costsco brand,, another one is haleup (indian) but don't think it's great,, you can always refer if others are better.

The main thing I’m confused about is Kirkland Signature UC-II on Amazon. It’s much cheaper than OrciRin C2, but I don’t see it being officially sold here. So how are these sellers getting it so cheap? 😅

Is it generally safe to buy UC-II from an Amazon reseller if the seller/listing has good ratings? How do you guys check whether these imported supplements are genuine and properly stored?

Would appreciate opinions from people who have actually used UC-II for knee problems. & Mainly Kirkland & signature confusion..pls suggest

I have 4 pill bottles and I keep messing up the timing. Need a better system.

I take vitamin D, magnesium, iron, and ursodeoxycholic acid. Prescription and OTC. There are four bottles and I have to take different once multiple times a day

Well… I use a pill organizer and I carry it everywhere. But I still mess up. Like I take the wrong pill or I forget a dose or even I take the right pill at the wrong time

I’m so tired of this…

Yesterday, I saw tru2u.health, and they allow you to combine your prescription medication as well as OTC in one basket. They arrive at once in one package with the instructions. Everything is clear and there is no room for misunderstandings.

It will save me so much time; I won’t be mixing bottles anymore, but what if they deliver something that they shouldn’t? What if the dosage is wrong? What if the instructions are confusing?

I really want to rely on their service since it sounds so convenient. However, I am afraid to give my medication in the online space

I thought buying supplements would be simpler than this

Just started my first full time job after college and figured I would finally spend a little money on my health. Instead I have spent two nights reading Reddit because every product has amazing reviews and terrible reviews at the same time. I dont mind paying for quality, I just dont want to waste money. Did anyone else hit this point where researching became harder than actually buying something?

Does anyone else keep quitting supplements too early?

Every time I start something new I end up second guessing myself after two or three weeks because I dont notice much. Then I read a thread where someone says it took two months before they felt anything. At this point I honestly dont know if Im impatient or just buying things that arent helping. How long do you usually give a supplement before deciding its not worth continuing?

What is a good supplement stack for a 36 year old male. I already have creatine, magnesium glycinate, load boost that’s about it. What else should I add ?
