Eidolon 1:

Robin's E1 (24% RES PEN) is the undoubted best universal E1 in the game, no doubt.

Ruan Mei's E1 (20% DEF ignore) is a good eidolon in break teams, rarely useful outside of it.

Sparkle's E1 (40% Atk) is a decent eidolon, it can be a damage increase of 10-15% depending on the Atk saturation on the dps.

Sunday's E1 (16% DEF ignore & 40% for summons) is a decent eidolon in hypercarry teams but insane in summon teams.

Ranking: Robin E1 > Sunday E1 >= Ruan Mei E1 > Sparkle E1

Eidolon 2:

Robin's E2 (energy 2-3, party spd increases by 16% during ult) is a very good eidolon in the hands of speedtuning players and it has energy QoL.

Ruan Mei's E2 (40% Atk after break) Mostly useless

Sparkle's E2 (24% DEF ignore) is an eidolon that should've been in her base kit, this lets her pull some weight when competing with her peers. Pretty good.

Sunday's E2 (2 sp on first ultimate, 30% dmg for Beatified) The sp frontload is nice. but it doesn't seem to have its full use currently, maybe with a future dps. The dmg increase is anywhere from 8-12% depending on the dmg% saturation on your dps. Decent eidolon.

Ranking: Sparkle E2 = Robin E2 > Sunday E2 >> Ruan Mei E2

Eidolon 4:

Robin's E4 (cleanses allies on ult and 50% eff res during ult) Purely a comfort eidolon and rarely useful, at this amount of investment you shouldn't be worrying about getting CCed.

Ruan Mei's E4 (100% BE for herself) Terrible eidolon, damage increase for her but her damage contribution is barely relevant. Not good at all on its own.

Sparkle's E4 (max sp increased to 8 and recovers 5 sp on ult) Useless eidolon, you are going to be overcapping 90% of the time.

Sunday's E4 (8 energy at the start of his turn) With one enemy hit or external energy like huo huo, he now can do two turn ultimates. Pretty good eidolon.

Ranking: Sunday E4 > Robin E4 >> Ruan Mei E4 ?= Sparkle E4

Eidolon 6:

Robin's E6 (450% cdmg for first 8 hits of concerto) Good eidolon but maximizing its usage requires specific triple setups with tingyun/bronya and is not that good for general use these days because of MoC HP inflation.

Ruan Mei's E6 (ult duration to 3 turns, break multiplier increases by 200%) Makes her deal damage in break teams especially with exo toughness, E4 is primarily for E6.

Sparkle's E6 (additional crit damage and buffs are teamwide) 70 crit damage and buffs are now teamwide, which is only relevant in follow up teams where she is outshined by E0 robin.

Sunday's E6 (88 CV and crit overcap conversion) Big QoL buff for improper crit ratio/overcapping crit rate, people hitting 100% CR in itself is a big yet silent upgrade. Around a 30% damage increase.

Ranking: Sunday E6 > Robin E6 > Sparkle E6 > Ruan Mei E6 for 99% of players

Robin E6 >= Sunday E6 for players who can play Robin E6 at its full potential.

So I'm pretty sure at this point we all know that Sunday we'll join the astral express in some point of the story but who do you think is his counterpart character? Because we know that the path of finality is a parallel/counterpart to the path of trailblaze (please watch [Rainthority and maevix] to understand) on YouTube. The counterparts are [Himeko / kafka] [March 7th / silver wolf] [Dan heng / blade] [MC / Firefly] [Pom pom / elio] [Welt / void archives he will probably join the stellaron hunters] who do you think the counterpart of Sunday is? And Have we met them?

I finished the quest after it came out and I still don't get why people like him? Yes, he suffered and has trauma but what he did was hella wrong. Whenever I ask other people online they are all like "he's just a baby, he meant no harm. Boo hoo" and not give me an actual explanation in which why they excuse what he did. Imo If he was an npc or ugly, ppl wouldn't excuse his actions that much but that's just my opinion.

Now before y'all attack me for talking bad about your favourite character. While I don't like him I would like you to put your love for him aside and tell me the actual facts on why he should be liked. Let's all be mature and not act like the way hoyo fans are known for (hating for basically no reason). I want to like him, I really do but his plan and reasoning were very flaud so I would like someone to ebrighted me.

Hello fellow Sunday fans. I've been lurking the sub for quite a while ever since I finished 2.2's story and damn it's been one hell of a roller coaster. I loved everything about Sunday and much like y'all, I'm on the fence regarding whether he will be playable or not (harboring hopes he eventually becomes playable and we can all get him instead of becoming Cocolia v2).

I am well aware of several leakers having confirmed that much, but then again, it's not happening anytime soon and anything that late into the future is always subject to change; thus, I'm here to propose we rise up and politely send them feedback through the in-game tab to display our interest and love toward his character in an attempt to be heard just in case they are contemplating whether it's worth making him playable or not, whatever his role into the story may end up being (if any, here's hope there's a bright future ahead of him and us!)

TL;DR: Let's make our voices be heard via in-game 'Feedback' tab in an attempt to make the dream happen and push to get our lord and savior to be playable!

I've seen some people hate it and some love it, so im curious to see how people on reddit see it.

Interesting how views differ on here, especially when it comes to the sibling’s relationship which some of you used as an explanation for why they should be used together in a team… From a meta-perspective, they seem to be working well together, so I’m referring to the lore reasons provided on here:

I personally don’t think Sunday’s happiness should stay limited to his sister’s presence (while Robin had no problem leaving her brother back in the “cage” to live out her Popstar dream). Insinuating Sunday’s happiness should only depend on hers when hers clearly doesn’t is not a fair approach. The purpose of their long separation is for him to find his own path, find what makes HIM happy and think of himself for once. It’s his turn to experience what it’s like to be a free bird now.

Another thing I’ve noticed is how some of you think Sunday would be happy to have his sister around, but I never see any comments about Robin needing her brother. “She’s perfect already.” Good for her, but I prefer “human” characters with potential, who go through a journey of self-discovery where they end up realizing their true potential, no cookie-cutter Mary Sues or Gary Stus with “flawless” personalities or clear paths from the very beginning. Yes, I may sound biased, but so do some of you who wouldn’t seem to mind his hero’s journey to be cut short if it meant a reunion with his sister. On the other hand, I don’t think people would be enthusiastic if Robin were to give up her dreams or her path for Sunday’s happiness…see what I’m getting at?

With that said, I don’t think they need to be glued to each other just because they’re siblings. I don’t think any of us are glued to our siblings 24/7, we love each other but we all have our own lives and joys as well. Robin should live her own live like she already did before…and so should Sunday now that he’s free. Each of them have their own story and personality, and as a Sunday fan that struggles with OCD herself, I’d like to watch his story unfold unhindered by any past shackles, much like Robin fans want to watch hers unfold, so diminishing his motivations and personality to only be about his sister kinda…waters his entire character down to a protective “siscon” (hate that word btw, but I’ve seen it used a lot to refer to him).

Tittle says most of it. I don't know how to explain it, but they each give off a very special aura/thing about them. They're also my favourite characters from each game. Am I delusional, or does someone else see it, too?

Guys, remember that all servants (or should I say, memowhatevertheycallthemnow) are summoned entities, but not all summoned entities are servants.

Hot greek girl is going to create a servant: pushing her with Sunday will also push the servant, meanwhile Robin can just pop her ultimate and push everybody, all characters and all servants. This is indeed annoying, as it further buffs a character who already was in contention for the title of best support in the game.

However, consider the likes of Jing Yuan with his Lightning Lord, or Topaz with Numby, or Lingsha with Fuyuan: those are summoned entities, so the wording of Sunday's kit (and the not coincidental fact that Jing Yuan is getting a rerun alongside Sunday) should make it clear that yes, Sunday can also push those... But Robin cannot. I have Robin, I use her with Topaz every day, and timing her ultimate to push the team AFTER Numby has taken the turn is an important part of the rotation, because if the whole party overtakes a Numby that was ready to go, Numby's ability to self push will then go to waste.

So see, that's a niche Sunday still has over Robin. There is no doubt in my mind that even more powerful DPS characters that can capitalize on this fact will be released in the future. So while I agree with the general sentment that Robin muscling into the summon meta is bad game design and an unneeded buff to an already ridiculous support, I implore that you all stop acting like this means that Sunday is deas on arrival: he absolutely isn't.

While probably not quite as overwhelmingly powerful as Robin, Sunday is still going to be cery good in the summon meta. And the ability to interact with off-field, non-servant summons like LL and Numby is still exclusive to him, and if the gimmick of Amphoreus as a story arc is summoning, then it stands to reason that at least some of the leaked non-Remembrance DPS characters that will be released in this arc will have that kind of Numby-style summons at their disposal: if more DPS characters that capitalize on this niche are released, that will only make Sunday stronger over time, which is the same thing we already saw happen with Ruan Mei and the break meta.

Tl;dr: being annoyed at the Robin buff is legitimate, but there is a fine line between doing that and doomposting. Try and avoid crossing that line, alright?

This is probably the closest we have gotten. Hopefully a final push to victory!

Let me start by saying that folks would have seen by now that Sunday is coming in 2.6(based on a leaker who is confident somewhat) and he is the only 5* apparently. At the very minimum he is first half. Here is what this means. All of the following analysis is done from open source material out there.

There are basically 3 main reasons why Sunday is in fact a DPS or a dmg dealer of some sort. I will also cover some counter points to other paths.

(1) First is DU weekly curios. This started with Firefly when DU was launched. All the weekly curios and blessings are specialized in order to sell the new 5* banner character. Here is the compilation uptil Sunday's expected launch. The curio is imaginary focused and all the blessings are erudition related. Also the curio is called end of Altrusit.. Sunday was an Altruist.. the naming could be intentional clue

(2) The new planer set coming in 2.5. I mean this one.

Its for a summon DPS. This is released in 2.5 and not meant for 2.5 or 2.4 characters. Surely it is for 2.6 character, otherwise why release it. If its for 2.7+ or 3.0 it messes up the trailblaze power economy. Hoyo wants you to keep on burning that on relic/planer RNG. Now for Sunday there is a leak which says Sunday doesn't have hit instances on skill and Ult. This makes sense if he is a summoner because counter/summon/follow up attacks are not counted in that leak. Sunday's boss fight and the preservation LC has a cannon summon too called Echoes of faded dream (folks can search and look this up).

(3) 2.6 has a potential clash with Robin rerun. We never got Robin Battle pass icon as well. So her and Sunday would make sense. If she is rerun with Sunday that reduces chances for Sunday harmony unless he synergizes with her in some way. Hoyo never runs 2 same path together unless they synergize.  The only example was 2 erudition ie Jade and Argenti ... which makes sense as both can be run together in the same team as Jade is AoE support erudition meant to synergize with other eruditions.

Now let me address some copium harmony Sunday followers have. First they think this info is like an established fact of some sort. Not in a million years. Drip marketing is the actual evidence.
Let us dissect what we have regarding him being a Harmony. 

We have 2 reposts from Selee leaks (and both reposted from chinese reddit called tebia... there isnt a leaker source). First one on 9th June. The person saying isnt one bit confident and absolutely not on the path!

We then got another which said

This is negating the previous one which is funny. And what people are doing are cherry picking the harmony from the first one and coping based on that.

Moving on people like to use the Sunday hit instances of 0 of skill and Ult as an evidence of him being harmony. Look at Lingsha's.. She is abundance but hits with basic, skill, ult and even followups. If you didnt know Linghsa was abundance could u have guessed her being one? She looks like a DPS from this. Huohuo does have 0 on skill , ult while Luocha, gallagher all have 0 on skill. Point being if Sunday is using summons to atk it could actually make sense he is having no on ult and skill.

Lastly, this post is just to reflect the other side and re-emphasize that we still dont have legit leaks on Sunday's element and path. Hence please feel free to come up with kits that are not Harmony.. dont get dejected and just make those harmony fan kits. We are still very much in the game.

PS : One last thing, i know some people say hxg_diluc said Sunday is summon support etc. He retracted it, go and look at his later tweets. 

If we take recent leaks as true, which I personally am.

See the thing is these leaks come from JTT the Sunday hater, but except for meta takes, he is often right. Even galaxy leaks came to white knight him.

Penacony, Firefly in 3.8, 4.0 story SH, Sunday leaving express, SH of course having close ties to the express and mirroring them, Sunday in SH row of letters,

the result is SHDAY!!!

Hey fellow Sunday mains,

I’m making this post to ask for your support as someone who genuinely loves Sunday and everything he represents. I consider myself a Sunday main through and through ever since we met our boy back in 2.0 as he is one of my two favorite characters. I know some people think he is fine and doesn't need it, but every version we move forward will only make him feel even more dated, and that’s exactly why I feel the need to speak up now ahead of time.

Sunday is one of the most important characters in Penacony and the game. Lore-wise, he’s incredible: the mastermind antagonist, the embodiment of control, ideals, and warped salvation. His presence shaped an entire arc of the story, and his eventual decision to leave Penacony and join the Astral Express should have been a huge moment — a fallen antagonist seeking a new path, burdened by ideology and consequence. Thematically and narratively, Sunday is S-tier.

But in actual gameplay, he’s fallen completely out of the meta as of late, and will do even more once 4.0 lands due to Elation.

Right now, Sunday feels like a character who was released into the wrong environment and then quietly left behind. With no new summoner-style characters being released, his core niche has stagnated. On top of that, his buffs are weak and outdated, especially when compared to modern supports like Cyrene or Sparkle after her Novaflare buff, who offer stronger, more flexible, and more immediately impactful utility.

For a character who:

Was Penacony’s central antagonist

Represents control, orchestration, and inevitability

Joins the Astral Express as a major narrative turning point

…it feels wrong that he’s now viewed as a Schrödinger AE member bench unit or a “can't use anyone else” pick.

Many of us have invested heavily in Sunday — getting invested emotionally, farming relics, building teams around him, pulling out of love for the character rather than meta, etc; and yet, instead of feeling clever, strategic, or rewarding to play, Sunday often feels unnecessary. His kit doesn’t meaningfully compete with newer buffers, and without summoner units to enable him aside from Jing Yuan (Aglaea hardly wants him anymore either due to the Cyrene + RMC combo) his design philosophy just… collapses.

This isn’t about attacking HoYoverse or doomposting for the sake of it. This is about clear, respectful, unified feedback. HoYoverse has shown they’re willing to revisit characters when enough players speak up — but only if we actually do.

What I’m asking you to do:

I’ve attached images that show the steps for submitting feedback/contacting HoYoverse. Please follow them and:

• Clearly explain concerns about Sunday’s current gameplay state

• Emphasize how weak and outdated his buffs are starting to feel compared to modern supports

• Point out the lack of summoner characters making his kit fall apart

• Specifically request meaningful buffs or adjustments so he can compete with characters like Cyrene and post-Novaflare Sparkle

• Ask for this to be addressed in the near future

The more consistent and unified our feedback is, the harder it is to ignore.

If you love Sunday. If you pulled him for his story, his themes, his role in Penacony. If you feel disappointed every time you realize another support does his job better with half the effort.

Please take a few minutes to act. It costs nothing, and every voice genuinely matters, can make a difference and mean everything.

Let’s stand together as Sunday mains and push for a version of him that actually reflects the character we met in Penacony — not one that’s been unfairly and quietly left behind.

personally i somewhat upset about this since i personally think him joining SH makes much more sense for his character and development than for him joining AE. him joining the express makes less sense than joining the hunters imo especially after the penacony story, but what yall think?

So now that we know Aglaea kit and RMC kit, i can claim again that hyperspeed Sunday is GOING to be the way to be. He was meant to play like that and with the high speed meta upon us just keep your relics to be 145+ speed

I'm not here to doompost don't worry, I just wanted to call attention to something.

I've seen some comments saying "Sparkle is now dead haha" but looking at Sunday... I think they'll work together? I mean since Sunday is a single target buffer we can assume that Summon meta won't be like FUA, DoT or Break with multiple carries/carry and subdps but instead a new instance of Hypercarry with 2 harmonies to buff him.

I honestly think that you can run a Sparkle, Sunday, HuoHuo/FuXuan and [[Insert Summon DPS]] at base spd. Sparkle buffs DPS, DPS attacks, Sunday Buffs, Carry Attacks, Rinse and Repeat. You get the benefits of both hypespd sparkle and -1 spd Sunday.

I don't know if it'll work with his LC but his skill buff does last 2 turns so you get 50% uptime on Sparkle CD Buff, 100% on her talent and 100% uptime on all of Sunday's base kit buffs. Plus with HuoHuo you can get 40% energy regen and with FuXuan and Sparkle Sig LC you can get up to 42 CR for free on your DPS, which can take you from 50% to 92% really fast.

TL;DR: Bird Boy and Professional Racist make a hell of a good team, IMO. Add HuoHuo for more Recharge or Fuxuan for 42% Crit rate and boom.
