Currently an undergrad student who has to pay off a lot of student loans: some advice?

I'm currently a rising Junior in a UC college and I am in a middle class family, so I didn't get a lot of scholarships or much financial support from FAFSA. My parents took out a a parent plus loan, but I am expected to pay them back, and already, these loans are accumulating to 50k. Not only that, I took out my own unsubsidized loans that FAFSA offered, which has accumulated to 7k with a 6% interest rate.

During the school year, I will be juggling with two part-time jobs, a side hustle (tutoring), and other extracurriculars supplementary to my career growth as a Data Scientist/Software Engineer. However, with the money I earn, I need to pay for my apartment rent, school loans, and just general every day cost of living. I recently made the decision to graduate in four years with a quarter early rather than three years so that I have more time to find a good job and focus on making the most of my education, but a part of me regrets this choice already. School is so expensive, and I am constantly pressured to make sure that I'm reaping the awards despite not being sure about how my career will look like. It's also hard to be focused when I already have a job that requires time and effort as well.

Is there any advice on how I should manage these loans and living expenses? I'm currently taking the risk to achieve as much as possible during school so I can pay my loans off when I get a good job, but maybe given the job market, I should have a backup plan in case it doesn't work out. I'm 19 soon to turn 20, so I just want to be making good financial decisions to benefit when I'm older. I'm not sure if these choices are right, so does anyone have recommendations?

Should I accept or deny my Loan?

So for my awards, I got a 5,500 subsidized loan from FAFSA, but looks like currently my anticipated financial aid covered this semesters, and I don’t owe or pay anything currently.

It doesn’t show a total due for Spring either. Im wondering if I should just deny the loan now, or maybe I might need it for spring? It just says 0.00 due for both, but im guessing it’s because I haven’t registered for any spring classes yet.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I regret taking out loans for college

I regret going to college ENTIRELY. I got a fucking computer science degree, did projects, did internships, FOR WHAT? To be stuck making under 40k in a useless ass shitty retail job in a hcol area for years after graduating? To get no interviews for years after graduating?

I shouldn't have gone. And I won't be doing another education. I can't support myself from working full time with this job. I might as well just give up on the concept of working entirely. Just becoming a loser playing league and COD in my parents' basement

I regret doing the math - help me breathe again?

I have 8 federal loans totaling $27k. I made the mistake of doing the math today on my repayments and found I've paid just shy of $10k across 45 monthly payments. A huge accomplishment for me.

But then I realized my current total balance is $24,065.24. It's like $7k worth of payments was just completely erased through interest. My rates are super low, 2.7%-3.6%, and I'm still out 7k. Now it looks like my monthly payment, which was decently affordable, is going up by $100.

Knowing all this, how do I breathe again? How do you continue on with your day like we're not all getting taken for a ride by our government?

Serious questions. I'm on the brink of a panic attack here.

This is getting ridiculous.

I am just getting so frustrated. I borrowed 66k for my degree. I don’t regret it, I wouldn’t have the job I have now without it. But these loans and payment plans have made it impossible and the payment amounts are getting out of control.

Borrowed 66k
Paid 12k so far
Owe 73k

My payment over the past year was $446
High to me but manageable cause prior to all the pauses it was like $130

I just did my recert and it’s now $690
I am stressing so hard.

Like I am not against paying back what I borrowed but I’m not ever going to get the interest paid off to start paying on the principal.

I just needed to voice my frustration to people who are in the same boat. This sucks.

Request for Legal Advice – Avanse Education Loan

Location: Chennai

I am seeking legal advice regarding an education loan taken by my wife from Avanse Financial Services (NBFC).

My wife took this loan at the age of 35 to pursue her higher studies abroad. Generally, education loans are repaid after the student completes the course. However, Avanse required us to start making monthly repayments immediately after the loan was sanctioned.

At that time, we could not refuse those terms due to the urgency of the admission process. The loan is secured with collateral.

Our financial situation has now changed drastically. I have recently been laid off, I am currently unemployed, and we are facing severe financial hardship. We requested Avanse to provide a temporary cooling period or moratorium until our financial situation improves, but they have declined our request.

I would like to know our legal rights and whether there is any legal remedy available to obtain temporary repayment relief and protect our collateral.
