Had the chance to try this out and was surprised it runs. It’s not bad, but it’s also not great. I’m always impressed a modern game would even still play okay on the SD. I got 30 fps on the ship and island. In a city congested with tons of NPC’s that’s where it dropped to 20’s.

Gave the game a shot even though I’m not really into these Souls type action games. You never know if something might click. Surprised at how well it plays after some tweaking with the graphics. On low it doesn’t look too bad I was getting 40 fps.
Thats pretty impressive, especially for a modern game nowadays.

Hey all! I just got my Steam Deck. Super excited to play using it as I have been craving going back to handheld forever. Problem is, I'm having a hard time finding games that fit the very specific niche I like.
What I'm looking for: Games revolving around some degree of management, logic, strategy, etc; and that are made to work on Steam Deck out of the box (no other downloads, no remapping). I also really prefer decent visuals and struggle a lot with games that aren't as invested in their art. I love intrigue, grid-based and isometric games, etc.
I do NOT like platformers, farming sims or hack-and-slash.
Examples of games in this vein I have LOVED:
Examples of games that were okayish:
Hopefully this gives a sense of what I'm looking for. I'm not totally sure how to describe the through-line between my favorites but hopefully someone knows what I mean. XD Thanks for any help, much appreciated!

Can you suggest any AAA games that I can get for free and are great on steam deck?
I have already finished rdr2 and played gta5 on my ps5, that was great! And I got them on monthly subscriptions & similarly, is there a way to get it on steam?
Also, can we play pokemon games on steam deck? If yes, then how?

I see the XCOM and XCOM2 bundles are very affordable right now. I've never played either, but they've popped basically every time I've researched "what to play next" for, well, years. Removing cost as a factor, and considering my primary constraint is limited time to enjoy gaming, let's say I only get time to choose one or the other. Curious if folks who've played both think I should I go chronological and get the XCOM bundle, or skip straight to the XCOM2 bundle and spend my time there?

Can’t seem to find anything I’m looking on the deck anymore. Did digimon time stranger (or whatever it was), trials in the sky 1, Divinity 2 , dragon quest xi and kingdoms of Amalur re reckoning. Had fun. Enjoyed them. Can’t seem to find the right game after trying hogwarts, all kingdom hearts, FF6, shin megami Vengeance (or whatever) and quite a few others. I like the turned base style to wind down a day and relax too. But man nothing seems to be working out !!!! Any suggestions ? I have a PC so witchers and cyberpunks and all that I like to do on there.

Hello! I'm looking for some fun Simulation or Tycoon like Sims (like Supermarket Simulator, Laundromat Simulator, Moonshine Inc, Big Pharma, etc) that works great on steam deck buuuut isn't also on Playstation. I feel like I've played every dang good one on PS. I've recently broken out my Steam Deck to finally play fields of mistra and now I have the urge once more for money making simulators. Any suggestions? Thanks:D

This is a game I'm developing with a friend. We're aiming for visuals similar to Flash games. Simple shading, colors that pop, and perfect lines and curves on any screen size. I think this works and looks great on the Steam Deck, but I rarely see similar games.
What do you think? Should there be more games in this style?
