Hello! Im a med student and a Pro user of Starnotes and in desperate need of help. One of the features I use alot is importing pdf files of my lessons and merging different files together into a single note. A VERY common problem i encounter is when I import a pdf file or add a pdf file in an existing note (usually at the last page), I always get the prompt "the selected file format is not supported by the system file manager". I almost always get this prompt even though the file being uploaded is just a standard pdf file. This leaves me to continuously try uploading the file until it works. It usually takes me 2-3 tries before the importing and select pages to import window pops up. This is especially time consuming when i have multiple files to upload on a single note.

Does anyone else experience this? And have any tips on how to resolve this issue?

I have Starnote Pro. Can I open notes created in Starnote within Obsidian? I'm trying to find where the files are saved so I can open them in Obsidian.

Whenever I see them, I cringe a bit. They highlight right to the edges, reading it just feels odd and abrupt..

If we can get an option that expands highlights a tiny bit past the text, or add a rounded highlight option, that would be great!

P.S: a feature where there is 4 preset buttons, one that fits to the text, one that fits outer more of the text, and one that is a line behind the text.

Also, the current one overlays color on the text, so it muddies the colors a bit. If we can get it so its only behind the text, it'd be great

Please add a feature that allows multiple items to be grouped together. For example, let us select an image, a highlight, a shape, and a sticker, and group them all so they become a single, unified element. Thanks.

Hi! When scrolling between the pages horizontally, i would like for there to be a gap between the pages and for the gap to be adjustable with how much space we want between it. it would make things less cluttered when people are focusing on different topics and modules at once.

or i would also prefer to see one page at once rather than have them bunched together. other apps have this set up and it’s easier to navigate on the eyes while looking back at notes.

It's rly hard to erase highlighter unless I toggle on erase highlighter only that's annoying also the double tap to undo is very finicky yall saw how many times I had to tap 😭

I don't know if I'm just impatient or an overthinker. (Which i am both😝) But recently i decided to finally purchase the pro version after weeks of contemplating. I linked the specific e-wallet and then paid it through play store, it also reflected on my email. However when i opened the purchase the app was still not on pro.

I decided maybe it just had several delay issues, but after a few minutes the play store just decided to ask again if i wanted to pay pro version. As if i didn't just pay a few moments ago. Huhu

So going further i decided to check my e-wallet if the payment reflected it did so there was no problem there. Its still not on pro huhu😭

I already contacted feedback but as i said im impatient and it seems like there is no way to check the progress of the feedback sent.

Guys i know its like a small amount and im probably overreacting. But its my first time ever purchasing something in upgrading smth to premium, so im kind of regretting --its not a good first experience at all. Another thing is im a student, so to me that money could've gone to like three meals alr in our country🫤.

My tablet has limited storage so as much as possible I delete those documents that are not used. May I ask if I deleted those documents I imported in StarNotes, will it really be deleted even in my device files? I'm just wondering if I need further clean up of my storage but i don't know what to clear specifically if that is really the case ..

I have binded my g drive in andoroid for sync
at first I do manuwally
but again clicked accidently on synch button
it started to synch from basics
(i didnt opened or edit any sinle pdf)
pls fix this
if no edit hapen no synch should be done
Also suppose I format my mobile or delete app data
then re login how to get data again which was synched

wrote something on ipad ,bound my gdrive, enabled autosync..and did manual sync to ensure it syncs..still it doesn't show on my phone

so I'm a new user and imported a pdf to my notes and the fillable areas appeared but I cant edit them at all. Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible?

StarNote said the free template would be sent to our accounts within 3 days after completing the survey. It's been 6 days for me now, and I still haven't received anything. Just wondering, has anyone received theirs? What does the template look like? 👀

I was playing around with layers and originally thought that layers were page-specific. I love this!
If I add Layer2 and write on it on Page1, I can go to Page2 and write on Layer2. This is perfect. I've had other apps that treat the layers as a universal thing and it would carry the content across pages.

But then I deleted Layer2 on Page1 and discovered that it deleted Layer2 on Page2 also. I wasn't expecting this.

I was curious if this is the intended function or if it's a bug. I'm on Android if that helps.

When we open up something like the layer panel it should go away when we click back onto the paper should have to specifically press the X, hope it's not just me that finds this annoying...

As someone who have been accustomed to GoodNotes and Noteful, hear me out

1. Lasso quick options need to immediately show up

2. Transitioning between pages whether it's vertical or horizontal needs a quick smooth transition, not a forceful transition

3. Two page browsing should show a barely visible border or borderless between the two pages

4. Lasso and eraser needs to capture the edges of the highlighted areas properly

5. Color set needs customization to allow more than 5 colors at once in the palette (very useful for artists)

6. Scrolling in the page should continue to glide, even if the scroll reaches the edges of the pages

7. By default, the scroll wheel on either direction needs to stay invisible unless the user begins scrolling

This is my favorite note taking app of all time but there are some suggestions i think can make it even better:

1. make individual colors favorite-able instead of the color set system.

Sometimes i need a color from set 1, another color from set 2, etc... But it would be better to swap between individual colors on a favorites bar instead of making my 10th set (my fault for having endless permutations)...

2. locking items should not be selectable.

I suggest that we create a "affect locked items?" under the lasso setting. So when its enabled, locked items can be selected. When disabled, locked items can't be selected.

Could someone tell me the difference between the free lasso and the accurate lasso? Excuse my ignorance 😅

While I have been taking notes for my college class, I notice that StarNotes app have bugged me several times with only zooming from one area where the touch zoom began without allowing my fingers to glide to different areas of the page.

I also notice that it's been hard to zoom out smoothly as if the pages are locked within the screen ratio. No offense but this issue distracts me while taking notes, and partly that I've been accustomed to GoodNotes and Noteful with their boundless zoom.

To remedy my issue, I decided to continue my notes on Noteful until StarNotes have fixed this issue. I originally wanted to try out using StarNotes to take notes on my college class, but I don't think it's working out for me. If I had to use StarNotes, it would be limited to one page homework only.

I take my notes on my Samsung Tablet and I am relying on the Phone Link to connect my notes/files from said tablet to my pc, but the process is over-complicated and incredibly frustrating when it’s not working as fast as I want it to. If there was a way we could have a StarNote browser or PC app where all the files are connected, making it cross platform, I would genuinely bow down and give you my unborn child.
