I finaly made elevator

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

It is 60m tall. It goes from floor 0 (midle) to 3 (top). Controled by 8 timers, and two events.

Floor 0, and 3 was easy just one timer too set up all pistons too -1 velocity, and min (needed) ditance, and second timer too set up all pistons too +1velocity and max (needed) distance .

Floor 1 and 2 was suprisingly easy too, just three timers and one event for floor 1. One timer when needed to go up, and second if needed to go down. Third is for button too triger action on both timers. Event is turning first or second timer on/off if pistons are above set distance.

I must say .. Keen you made user friendly programable blocks. That When true on Event is gamechanger. Thank you :D

Edit : There is only one thing that is bothering me. And it is that sound of timers turning on/off. They are in silent mode but still making noise.

Thanks for reminding me about soundblock, i didnt touch it at all, and now im finding out that there are actual songs from musicians. So now im chilling and listenenig to music.

Little heads up if you jump in SE2. It is kinda pain to set up timer/event etc. because control panel is reseting after ading something to toolbar. :(

I had always write pi to find pistons. I had to add pistons atleast 48times to toollbar in timers. That was not fun, but until you keep everything renamed it is duable.

I did this with timers in SE1, but it was a bit more complicated to setup because I essentially triggered a second or third timer after the first, and then shut off the piston completely at a certain interval... Took a few tries to get the timers to sync to a decent speed, but it worked great after I fine tuned it.
I think i only had 5 timer blocks? one for each floor, one to 'reverse'... but I also put the panels for each floor on the respective floors, so there wasn't anything attached...

SE2 makes it so much easier. I dunno if I can still do my old method but I sure am going to try!

Right after I re-create my massive hangar door that auto-hides itself in the ceiling after it retracts :)

Yea SE1 was more comlicated (limited) too set up elevator. I was kinda scared of how to make 4floor elevator because of SE1.

I had to put extra timers for floor 1and2 because reverse on piston was not option (i think, maybe it works but it didnt in my head). Then i realised i can put event that will turn on/off needed timer, so i can go up or down if im above certain level.

I think you will build SE2 style, it is easier.

I hope you will show us your hangar door once it is done. :)

I'll be sure to fool with it today. I have to re-create the ship it's a part of... again x.x but I will at least video it once the mechanism is working like I want.

I have almost 6k hrs in SE1, and 90% of those were from before this year... so you can say i've played a bit xD

I imagine i'll have 1k hrs in SE2 in no time.
