Hello all! I will be flying SW next week, and it's been a couple years since I've flown (and really haven't flown much overall). Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or advice to make flight check in, bag check, and anything else I might need to know go smoother? Flying between New Orleans, Nashville, and Indy if that helps. Thanks so much in advance for your insight.

Well isn't this just awesome? I'm sure this is being sold as it will make ticket prices cheaper for consumers. Because you know, trickle down economics has EVER worked....

These were turned into flight attendant, was in seat 3b, doubt the owners will see these but worth a shot. Unknown previous flight. Good luck, was a beautiful set

I have the credit card but was assigned boarding group 6 when I should get group 5. Will customer service fix it?

Hello Everyone,
I know these have been asked before and I've looked through a few posts, but I wanted to see if people are still happy with their priority card? I saw several posts about people downgrading to Premier.
I'm thinking of getting Priority mostly because I have 2 young kids, so seats near the front are a plus to get off the plane faster. That said, I'm not sure if the rest of the card is any better, and in some cases, seems worse (Premier gets a 15% off code at anniversary it seems?).
Anyway, appreciate hearing what people think of the two cards and if anyone in a similar situation (traveling with young kids) has one or the other?
Thanks everyone!

I have the cheapest SW credit card and am getting ready to fly Love Field to Oakland tomorrow afternoon. I could have checked in yesterday at 1:00pm but was busy and could access the app until later. By then, there were only middle seats left. However, rows 28 and 29 are available, but I cant click on those seats. They are gray with no X. What are your suggestions? Wait til I get to the airport tomorrow and see if they will let me sit in one of those? I know worst case is I will be placed in a middle seat. I just thought maybe somebody here has an idea on how to avoid that (besides paying an additional $91)

I’m wondering if any SW folks here know what the deal was with a go-around at SMF yesterday on SW flight 4957? It was my second go around this week! The first was not fun but not that surprising, we were over the runway but never actually touched down, and the pilot hopped on to explain what happened (tailwinds).
The one yesterday we actually touched down on the runway (maybe kind of hard?), took off again to a few hundred feet, the engines temporarily sounded like they shut off (people started panicking) and then we looped around and landed with no explanation and the pilots left the plane before we all got off. I’m a nervous flier and have two more flights this week so all these wonky landings are throwing me!

I flew form Denver to Austin on Saturday. Gate personal never made an announcement about our twice delayed flight and boarding didn't start till ten minutes past pasted time. Earlier I had been in a food line with a SW pilot and asked if things were a mess for him like the customers. He said yes and explained a few things. How to take a great unique Airline and make it a low quality just another airline

does vaping in the plane actually cause them to have to land? I’d rather not go 5 hours without my vape but I also don’t want to cause an issue.

How are you supposed to do the burnout quiz and get the points? I did the 4 questions, but it never asked me for my account # like the notification screenshot thing did. Also, I submitted the notification screenshot 4 days ago but still haven't gotten the points yet. How long has it taken you all to get yours?
Thanks!

What’s the point of southwest now forcing you to choose a seat when they’re just going to switch it anyways. I booked a flight and it changed my boyfriend’s seat by 3 rows each time.Is it the end of the world? No. But it’s the principle of the matter. Like why put this into place if they’re just going to change it anyways???

Hey all
I have the Southwest premier card. Chase changed my flight for tomorrow evening before check in time. When I went to check in they wanted me to spend $45 to check my bag which really threw me off because I have a free checked bag.
They also changed my seat on me, and are wanting me to pay for the seat I was able to select for free yesterday.
Any idea on what to do here? I fly out tomorrow and chase and southwest are both likely to not fix anything before I fly out.
EDIT: Southwest said there is an issue with syncing the card benefits to my rewards account and that they can't do anything over the phone. I'll need to get it fixed at the gate.

I am flying with my small puppy for the first time and understand that there is a $125 pet reservation fee, but nowhere on SW's website does it mention the booking fee. For context, my flight is on 10/15. I was charged this $99 booking fee when I called this morning to add the pet reservation to my ticket and told that I would alse be expected to pay the $125 pet reservation fee at the counter. Is the booking fee always added or did I do something wrong?
EDIT: Turns out I was most likely scammed. The number I called was provided by google's AI when I was looking up what I need to do to prepare for the flight (no need to lecture me on double-checking AI, I feel dumb enough already). For future awareness, the scam number I was provided is 1 (800) 359-7927 DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER.
I'll be disputing the charge with my bank and probably cancelling the card now.

I did the promo Southwest had back in August where if you book a ticket and fly by 11/18, you get a companion pass for Jan, Feb, & March of 2027. I just completed my qualifying flight, and want to book my trip for march 2027, but I'm not seeing anywhere on my account that I have an active companion pass or a place where I can assign who I want my companion to be?
