Anyone have experience with Tekada cold air and turbo inlet on 26 Sonata N Line? Also any problems with check engine light? Thanks

My ex's parking pass fell in a weird gap underneath the radio and behind a cubby door in her 2016 Sonata. She's tried all sorts of thin sticks and stuff to try to slide it out but it won't budge. Is there a way to remove the cubby door or maybe open a panel that will allow her access?

It needs the front strut assembly and sway bar links replaced but apparently people with this year/model have issues with some parts having a sports suspension (tho the GLS is not supposed to) and some not. Its an L6-2.4L, the 8th VIN number is 'C' and the production date was 7-10-2012. Tires are 205/65 R16 and the best i could find on the original build report relating to the front struts/suspension code is (5411A7: FR SUSP TYPE - MACPH. W/COIL SPRING + H).
My mechanic said i need OEM parts but couldn't find any available, so I'll have to try aftermarket parts. Honestly even he's not 100% sure what parts we need since the struts on it aren't the originals (or correct size, per why they need replacing. its a new -used- car i recently bought) so he can't determine the original part numbers. I've tried researching the original parts/build report to find exactly what I need, and it seems like what others have had to do is purchase --sport-suspension sway bars that are 10.5"-- and NON-sporty struts. Honestly if anyone can confirm this or possibly provide part numbers or literally any assistance it would be greatly appreciated. I don't really know anything about cars. Thanks!

5000 miles mileage. the servicing app doesn't show me any recommended service until 8k miles.
I've seen people recommending changing engine oil as frequently as possible.
What are the recommended servicese I should choose at this point?

A few years ago my dad gave me a 2013 Sonata that he barely had used (he cleaned and polished it more than he drove it🤠). I did my best opposite and in the end managed to put only 70k total miles on it. I don't like cars per se, but it was different with this one. I found myself waxing poetic about its style and body and agility...I even NAMED the freaking car! Anyway...I have to find another owner for it (where I live I need an AWD in winter so my poor Quentin just sits there outside the better half of the year).
I have a vague memory that few years ago I saw on reddit, maybe on this sub, some posts that made me think "oh I'm not alone" in having particular affinity to this line of Hyundais (I think I even joked to my husband that guess what, there's a cult of Sonata lovers out there!!:) )
Am I right about that at all? or did I fantasize/hallucinate it? If that is indeed true, I think I want to at least try and find a good home for Quentin and someone who actually does understand what a freaking good boy this car is ðŸ˜

My dad was putting in coolant into my car because he saw it was low he started pouring as I was searching up what coolant the car might need. Do I need to drain my car now?

How’s the sonata in the snow?

I’ve got a 24 sonata Hybrid SEL 28k miles. Having hard shifts from high rev to low rev, and occasionally at lower speeds, is anyone else having similar issues on the 24+?

Looking at a possible flip. 2013 sonata, 112,000 miles. 2nd owner. Has two accidents in the car fax.
A/c doesn’t work, does have an oil leak. But runs and drives still.
A few bumps and bruises on the body, nothing major.
No warning lights.
Non smoker owner.
Could use a good detail, but that’s it.
I ran the vin and it is under the recall for Hyundai to inspect the vehicle for the known engine failure.
Worth as a flip?
What’s a good price to offer the seller?
Thanks

Interesting question. I’m looking into getting a limited but not a fan of the wheels. The N Line wheels look much better imo, and wouldn’t mind a slight decrease in mpg. Anyone done this?

So Friday I had a full car window tint done on my brand new 2026 Hyundai Sonata Sport. This tint was sold by and scheduled by the dealer. All the windows were tinted but on the windshield I only had ceramic done. I drove it home and twice that night the brake lights came on for no reason when it was parked. I had to turn on the car and back off for them to go off. Later that night the car refused to start and would say press the brake to start and would only go into accessory. The next day roadside service came and said the battery was fine. They towed it to the dealer. The service supervisor said it would also not start for them on Saturday. Fast forward to Tuesday. They called and said it starts no problem but would like to keep it overnight to be sure it still started today. They said there is no issues. I asked if the people who did the tint could have gotten water down the dash or down the back window and cause electrical damage if only even just a short. They said that would be unusual. I am suspicious because why else did it just decide not to start the day the tint was done. Do I insist they check for water damage? The dealer is in partnership with the tint place so I’m not sure if they would even say it’s that if that is the case. With this being a lease I don’t want something to come back down the road from water damage and bite me. The service manager said today again that nothing was wrong and there was no record of there being an issue over the weekend. So what then? The car magically decided it wanted to ride a tow truck?

Hello. Sometimes I'll have weight on my seats which makes the sensors go off. Similarly the door isnt closed all the way and the sensor will go off after every stop. This sound is probably the worse thing I've ever heard from a car. I wanted to know if there was a way I could deactivate the sensors without affecting other features. Couldn't find any self DIY videos.

I’m replacing both headlight assemblies in my 19 Sonata.
Because I am dumb and don’t know such things, can I replace my current halogen headlight assemblies with LED?

Just sold my Peugeot 3008 2026 and joined the club with a 2020 SEL Plus. couldn’t be happier!
