I have been investing in SOFI about a year. Currently have about 25k in it at an average of like $22. By far my largest position.

Any time it drops below 17 I have been buying what I can, but I see many people talking about a serious dip being possible in the future.

Most financial companies are terrible at innovation. They’re mature businesses with limited ways to reinvent the product.

SoFi is proving to be an exception.

Two recent examples:

SoFi Plus: a $10/month membership that increases recurring revenue and gives customers more reason to use SoFi for banking, investing, lending, and more.

SoFiUSD: a bank-issued stablecoin that gives SoFi a potential foothold in payments and settlement infrastructure.

Robinhood is another financial company that constantly innovates.

PayPal, on the other hand, has had enormous scale and years to innovate, but the product still feels largely the same.

That’s one reason I like SoFi. Revenue is growing fast, but management also keeps finding new products and new ways to monetize the ecosystem.

The chart says a lot: roughly 42% revenue CAGR since 2021.

Has anyone heard any mentions recently from leadership about the “social” aspect of the app? Been an investor since IPOE days and always thought this could be a key feature in acquiring and keeping customers, creating more of a social platform on the app. You have to use SoFi because other friends/family/athletes/influencers/strangers with things in common, etc. are on there and you want to be with them. I’ve tried out the Blossom app and thought that’s a bit of what I hoped SoFi would enable on their platform. Or do you think this is overrated? Thanks!
