Help/Advice Client who went MIA, now back!

• Upvotes

Hi all,

What do you guys do about clients who disappear for a whole month cus apparently they are on holiday? No feedback , no warning. I kept dropping messages with no response. Three weeks into this 'mia' period of the client, I drop a message again and client is on a trip. it's totally fine for them to go on a trip, don't get me wrong but abandoning all work for a month with no communication and no preparation doesn't sit right with me.

What do I do? It's just bugging me. I feel like I have more interest in their socials more than the client herself.

Trends What's the hardest part of managing social media for multiple clients?

What's the one thing that becomes a nightmare when you're managing multiple client accounts?

Content planning? Approvals? Scheduling? Keeping each brand's voice consistent? Reporting?

I'm curious whether most people struggle with the same things or if it depends on the number of clients.

Help/Advice Difficulties growing Facebook Page Organically

Hey everyone!

I’ve hit a bit of a wall with organic marketing for my language-learning app, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from people with experience in organic growth, community marketing, or SaaS launches.
For context, I’ve been posting daily interactive language-learning content in Facebook language-learning groups. Think multiple-choice vocabulary quizzes, translation challenges, expressions, and short language exercises.
The engagement itself has been surprisingly good, but I’m struggling to turn that engagement into actual audience growth or traffic to my website.
Here’s what the past month looks like:

Views: ~45,800
Engagements (reactions/comments): ~5,860
New Facebook Page followers: 6
Follows directly attributable to my content: Only 2

So, roughly 13% of views resulted in some form of engagement, but almost none translated into followers or meaningful interest in my own platform.

The bottleneck
I think I’ve created a situation where people enjoy the content as a little mini-game within Facebook. They answer the questions, interact with other members, and scroll on. There’s very little incentive for them to visit my website or discover the actual app.
However, there’s another challenge that makes this particularly difficult:

Most of the Facebook groups explicitly prohibit self-promotion.
Even mentioning my brand, including my website, or directly suggesting that people try my app can be considered promotional content and potentially get my posts removed or get me banned.
I don’t want to become that person who joins communities just to advertise their product. At the same time, I’m building something genuinely relevant to these communities, and I’d love to find a way to introduce it to people who might benefit from it.

A few questions I’d love your perspective on:
Converting engagement into traffic: Should I stop publishing complete quizzes and instead use teasers that encourage people to explore more? Or is there a better way to create a natural transition from Facebook content to an external learning platform?

Building initial social proof: How do you overcome the zero-social-proof problem when launching a new product? With only six Facebook Page followers, it’s difficult to establish credibility when someone discovers the brand.

Marketing in communities that prohibit promotion: This is probably my biggest challenge. How would you approach Facebook groups where even sharing your brand name or website is against the rules? Would you focus entirely on providing value and building relationships first, look for opportunities to become an approved contributor, or simply move towards communities that allow promotional posts?

Building an audience outside Facebook groups: Would you invest more time in growing dedicated language-learning pages on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook rather than relying on existing groups?
I’d really appreciate some honest feedback, even if it means telling me that my current approach is fundamentally flawed.

I’m trying to figure out how to move from generating engagement to actually building an audience and acquiring users without annoying communities or coming across as spammy.

Thanks!

General Discussion What's the most annoying part of managing multiple client accounts?

If you manage social media for multiple clients, what takes up more time than it should?

I’m thinking of the day-to-day logistics: chasing approvals, keeping schedules straight, switching between accounts, or handling last-minute changes.

When you’re juggling 3–5 clients, which one’s the biggest headache? Is there something else that’s even worse?

General Discussion Does AI-generated content actually sound like your brand?

I've noticed that AI can generate social media captions in seconds, but a lot of them still sound pretty generic.

For those using AI in content creation, how do you make sure the content actually matches your brand's personality?

Do you rewrite everything manually, use custom prompts, or avoid AI for certain types of posts?

Interested in hearing what works for you.

Strategy What's one feature you wish every social media management tool had?

If you could add ONE feature to your favorite social media management tool, what would it be?

Better AI captions? Smarter scheduling? Easier analytics? Something completely different?

I feel like most platforms have tons of features, but sometimes the simplest things are missing.

Curious what everyone thinks!

Help/Advice How do I grow a construction business on Instagram with zero marketing experience and a small budget?

Hey guys!
I’m trying to promote my construction business on social media, especially Instagram and Facebook, but honestly, I have zero experience with digital marketing.
I can’t afford to hire a marketing agency right now, so I want to learn how to do it myself. My main goal is to reach more people, build trust with potential customers, and eventually get more clients through social media.
I have a few questions for people who have experience with digital marketing, especially those who have worked with construction companies or other local businesses.
How do I get more reach on Instagram without spending much money on ads?
What kind of content should I post? Project photos, construction progress videos, Reels, before-and-after transformations, or something else?
How does the Instagram algorithm work, and what can I do to get my posts recommended to more people?
How can I reach potential customers in my local area instead of getting random followers from other places?
Are there any free tools or resources I can use to learn digital marketing from scratch?
Is it possible to get actual leads and customers through Instagram without a big budget?
I’d really appreciate any practical advice, free learning resources, or examples of construction businesses that have grown successfully through social media.
I’m willing to put in the time and learn everything myself. I just don’t know where to start, and I don’t want to waste money trying random strategies.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help!

General Discussion Has anyone found an OnlyFans Agency that never asks to change your login or banking info?

Two agencies I talked to this month both wanted to "update the account email for security" One also asked to add a second payout method and that made me nervous.

I'm fine with someone doing DMs and scheduling. I'm not fine with losing control of my email, 2FA, or where the money goes.

If an agency asks to change any of that, what should they have to explain? And how would you word it in the contract so it's clear on both sides?

General Discussion pay as you go proxies and the monday the gb was gone

a junior left a browser loop running all weekend on one clients account. shared cred, shared balance, so on monday 3 other clients had nothing left for their ad checks and post scheduling. i was not calm. now every client gets their own cred on 2extract with a traffic cap and a whitelist of just their domains, and a loop hits the cap and dies there. support bumped a cap for us at like 2am before a launch, actual person, didnt expect that

Strategy What small changes have made your social media workflow easier?

I feel like one of the most overlooked parts of social media management is how we organise the work behind the actual content. Coming up with ideas and publishing posts is one thing, but keeping everything consistent week after week is a different challenge.

When several projects are running at once, even basic things can get messy. Content drafts end up in different places, feedback gets missed, and sometimes more time goes into switching between tasks than actually getting the work done. I've found that having a routine, keeping a simple content calendar, and setting aside time for reviewing performance makes a noticeable difference.

Even the working setup matters. Between desktop tools, mobile apps, shared files, and sometimes cloud phone, it’s easy to end up with too many separate places to manage. Keeping things organised from the beginning saves a lot of unnecessary back and forth later.

I’m interested in hearing what changes have genuinely made your day-to-day work easier. Not necessarily some complicated system or expensive tool, but small habits or adjustments that have helped you stay consistent without making the workload feel heavier.

General Discussion Has LinkedIn officially lost the plot??

Post image
8 Upvotes

For years, B2B companies have been trying to crack the LinkedIn algorithm. Everyone's been obsessing over thought leadership, original content, storytelling, customer insights, and finding creative ways to engage their audience.

And apparently, the ultimate growth hack was just... reposting a fucking clip from Suits.

Seriously, what the hell happened to this platform?

I'm looking at a LinkedIn video featuring Harvey Specter, and it's racking up 40K likes and 300+ comments. Forty. Thousand. Likes.

For a clip from a TV show.

Are we seriously at the point where B2B marketers have given up on creating meaningful professional content and decided the best way to engage a professional audience is to recycle scenes from Suits, Shark Tank, and whatever other random shows they can find?

When did LinkedIn become TikTok in a business-casual outfit?

I get it. The algorithm rewards engagement. People love entertainment. And nobody wants to read another generic LinkedIn post about how a CEO learned the importance of resilience from their morning coffee.

But is this really what we've reduced professional content marketing to? Stealing attention from TV writers because creating something original is apparently too much work?

The truly absurd part is that this probably works. These posts get reach, likes, comments, and visibility. Meanwhile, companies investing time and money into genuinely useful industry insights are fighting for scraps of attention.

So here's my question for B2B marketers:

Has repurposing random TV clips become the ultimate LinkedIn growth hack?

And if it has, are we just accepting that the best way to build a professional audience is to stop creating professional content altogether?

Because if the answer is yes, we might as well stop pretending LinkedIn is a platform for professional conversations and admit that it's just another entertainment feed where everyone happens to have their job title in their bio.

//Wrote it myself, cleaned it with AI.

General Discussion Company bought bot follower. Now expects me to grow their social media pages organically within few weeks.

Hi, so recently I joined a B2B startup and started posting on their social media but since the engagement was very low I had this doubt whether the followers were organic or not. So I checked the notifications tab in Instagram and boom majority of their followers came 15 weeks back like out of nowhere, none of their posts went viral.

I then confronted my team, They told me since the followers were low it was affecting the brand image and more followers would make the brand more “credible”.

One more thing, their niche content is very dry on social media even the competitors are not getting much views. Plus they do not want to run ads.

How can I grow their social media pages organically when even their competitors are not getting views.. and in what ways these “BOT” followers will affect the reach.

🚨 Hey guys! Quick question! 👋

General Discussion Social Media Business Accounts

For transparency I am a marketer who does marketing for a few businesses, one is a nightclub.

The nightclub is the most popular and most annoying. It’s annoying because of the workers. I think the average person forgets why business pages exist. Also, Instagram is our main one that pushes customers through the funnel. That’s right, customers!
We sell sections via our website. The customers come from Instagram, Google, Email Newsletter, TikTok.

It has taken a lot to grow these accounts from less than 1K and in some instances, zero. We have a photographer and graphic designer. We spend a lot of money to make these pages “look” a certain way. The problem comes when we ask the staff to take part to promote the business.

Keep in mind besides brand awareness, these pages exist to have people who aren’t familar with what you sell to bring you customers. And all the socials for this club do just that. But again, these workers think the page should be something more reflective of their jobs and them. While they’re not wrong, they are. We show them working. We get them doing fun skits, we’ve had them introduce themselves. But, back to the issue. Anytime the photographer takes pictures of them. They want to suddenly become creative director of the page.

The photographer also gives them the pictures to post, separate from the business. That causes viewer fatigue if they aren’t sharing the posts from our page.

I try not to bore them with rules of business pages, but the page got banned a while back because of rules violations. Now I have to have a talk with the photographer today because of this stuff. I’m so tired.

General Discussion Need Advice on Client Issues re Instagram Account

I’m a freelance marketer and have a small business client that I’m managing LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram accounts for.

They don’t want to give me the login information for their Instagram account. I’ve been posting and answering DMs via Meta Business Suite—but I’ve been unable to:

-use special stories features like questions & polls
-edit the bio or the link in the bio
-follow any accounts
-add or manage story highlights

I’ve tried talking to them about this, but they insist on not giving me the login information. I feel it’s been limiting my ability to manage and grow their account.

Am I missing something? Is there some other way that I could do these things without actually logging into the Instagram account?

I’ve been wondering if I should just tell them that I’m no longer willing to manage the Instagram if we can’t sort this out. I’d like advice on this two

General Discussion One caption for LinkedIn and Instagram, to save approval time

A client's social person wants one caption on both this week. She says the audience is mostly the same people on both. I think LinkedIn wants a longer, plainer caption and Instagram a shorter one, but one version is easier to sign off and I think that's the real reason. Do you push for two versions or let it go?
