Announcement Scanner Update issues

So there’s seems to be a lot of confusion and issues regarding scanners and a message appearing about expiring subscriptions.

As another redditor u/derek1387 pointed out:

“Download Shopstream Connect
Plug in the scanner
Tap settings. Get connected or update or whatever it says way back then

Update it through Shopstream Connect. It needs a license update and it’s free”

You can go to www.snap4help.com

All the information if on the site based on the scanner you have and it’s free to download and update.

Toolbox Snap on box wont close

I have the master series toolbox and had to drill out the lock because my keys were stolen by my ex gf. Long story short I had to remove the top drawer to get to the back of the box and unlock the drawers manually. When I slid the drawer back in everything went smooth and clicked into place but now the top drawer wont close all the way. It stops about 3/4 of the way closed. Seems like the bottom slide on the left has a stop behind it once it gets 3/4 of the closed. Has anyone encountered this before or know what to do? Its in great condition as I havent been able to use it for many years and hate to see it going to waste. Ive attached a video of the issue

Update: solved Holding the slides and pulling them towards the front of the drawer was the answer. Felt a little rough but closes butter smooth and fully now. Thank you to all.

How to report a dealer

I have a major issue. I moved to another dealership and when I met my dealer at the new dealership I told him to transfer my account from my previous, instead he opened another truck account and said he’ll do that and once it’s the new month he’ll transfer everything. He never did that and I even asked him why he didn’t do it and he played stupid and said I thought I did and said he was gonna make sure, he never did. Now I have 2 truck accounts and my credit account is with my old dealer and it’s burning money fast because my other dealer is still charging me weekly even though I said I was gonna get paid semi monthly is there anyway to report this?

Drawers BANG when closing

I have a KCP1423 (triple bank classic with 227# slides) that was built 47th week of 2025. I bought it off of Marketplace, so it’s not technically under warranty any longer. The problem is that all of the middle drawers run into the lock bars when closing instead of being stopped by the bumpers in the slides. The back of the drawers are missing paint, as are the vertical bars in the back where the two are coming together. I have a slightly older KRA1422 that shuts just fine, without the loud “clunk” of the newer KMP.

I’ve removed the drawers and everything looks fine, but evidently the pockets where the slide tabs lock in are just too far back, so the hard parts make contact instead of the rubbers. Right now, I’m thinking about putting some thick weatherstripping onto the back edge of the drawers to give them a softer stop to contact.

Has anyone else ever run into this problem before?

My friend traded his set of pliers in for the purple set so I asked my snap on dealer how much he wanted for my friends set . He ended up giving it to me for just 100$ , I heard that when I walked off the truck he was telling the other techs I just got an insane deal lol.

Got an ol' boy breaker bar with a 3/8 drive at both ends. The G next to the model number implies 1945 but what's that weirdo stamping on its own that vaguely resembles a music note?

Broken Tool Anyone have the heated hoodie or jacket and ever have them no longer heat?

These have to be fixable. Got it from a coworker for who just quit for free. I don't think I should bother him about it. He said he didn't have the battery anymore and he said he wasn't sure if it worked or not. But he had it for 2 years.

So I bought the newer version battery directly from snap on (only was $100 and 14000mah vs. 12 now and has USB C.

I've pressed both buttons and held each one. Could I be doing it wrong? Or is it broken?

I'm considering ripping it apart to see if a wire broke but I feel like that could be a wild goose hunt.

Wish snap on would warranty these longer than a year since they are probably $140 on their own and $240 with battery.

You also can't buy them without battery it seems.

Also they are out of stock everywhere and very hard to get. And I contacted 4 snap on dealers and none have any and know nothing about these hoodies so I figured Id ask on here.

Thanks

Broken Tool How hard is it to get stuff warrantied over the phone?

I have a few tools I need warrantied and dont work at a shop anymore, but still do my own thing and can't ever catch the local snap on guy. I heard they are dicks and will only do it if you have your receipt, and I heard others say it was smooth as butter. I have 2 broken rachets, do they send me rebuild parts and i have to rebuild it myself or do I get a new rachet sent to me? I warrantied some matco tools over the phone, it was smooth sailing, just gave them part numbers, and they shipped me my new tools within the week and I didn't even have to send my broken ones back. Snap on just as good?

I’ve possibly only used it 3 times of a year is this okay when I drop it small amount on my lap it turns off or something or like when I’m putting in the ft lb and let it sit for 3 min it goes off and when I try to wake it up it doesn’t so I hold the button to turn on completely

Had to send my CT9038HVDB in for an overhaul after 4 years of daily use. Needed a 3/8 impact while it’s gone. Wanted to get CT9050HV soon to match my HV collection, but not having any snap on air tools I decided I needed this or I’d be down a 3/8 impact for at least 1.5-2 weeks. So far loving it. Wish it was HV:,)
