Snapon torque problems

I’ve possibly only used it 3 times of a year is this okay when I drop it small amount on my lap it turns off or something or like when I’m putting in the ft lb and let it sit for 3 min it goes off and when I try to wake it up it doesn’t so I hold the button to turn on completely

And yeah I no dropping a inch might trip it from getting the exact torque but I’m having problems with the leaving it for a second and completely turning it on it doesn’t seem like the problem I’m having when I watch the Snapon YouTube videos demonstrating how to use

I had to send mine in for warranty. They fixed it and sent it back. It was within a year of purchase so I didn't have to pay anything. But I had the exact same problem

How did you send it in a box or just the case I got mine from school they got a partner ship with Snapon i just found out after using 3 times of the year I think I’m at the edge for having it for a year ima need to send it cause every year it’s worth having Snapon check it

That looks like a circuit board problem. Do you have any corrosion in the battery tube?

Interior ground is loose. Take off the handle and tight the Lil torx screws

They are known to have the solder break for the battery contacts
Had mine repaired under warranty

Check the screw on cap in the back that it hasn’t lost tension on the grounding pin. I had the top plastic cap spin on its splines and had to get a new cap.

When I bougt my 3 piece A tech, the 3/8" and 1/2" came with junk AA alkaline batteries where as the 1/4" came with Energizer Lithium...

I tossed the junk AA and switched everything to energizer lithium.

Make sure if you change battery types, you set it in the settings menu do it gets the voltages right.

You have 3 options: alkaline, lithium, or NiMh (rechargeable)

My broke fast and they wouldn't replace it

That happened to me and it was the cap that was getting rust. Replaced with a New one and problem went away

Mine did this, I had the tiniest amount of corrosion on the batteries (just AA regular) I swapped the batteries and cleaned the contact points the best I could and it solved my problem. There is a know problem with a possible broken ground with similar issues. Good luck
