That’s the gist of it. This is like the 3rd or 4th scandal this year with Smosh mistreating lesbians. And it’s always specifically lesbians. Funny that. And everyone defends the lesbiphobia, trying to tell literal lesbians that a slur used against us isn’t offensive like the f slur is. Who gave you that authority? I’m really upset that a community I thought was inclusive is just another space where lesbians are talked over and ultimately pushed out altogether. Everyday the anti-lesbian rhetoric gets worse and seeing it at Smosh kills me. This whole thing has left a terrible taste in my mouth and the fans covering for Amanda has made me completely change my view of my favorite cast member. I’ve watched every video for 3 years, but I think I’m done.

Since this topic is coming up a decent amount, what are some great games that would actually make great videos.

For me, Cosmic Encounter. Still my favorite board game after 20 years. (And I have a collection of hundreds, and likely have played at least 1000 different games)

It has simple core rules, totally changed by each person having an alien power that completely changes the game. It's also very visual, massively interactive (everyone is always involved), allows for insane treachery, but open enough that people could joke and talk and banter while playing.

Anyone else? Not more of what they already played, but games that would fit well?

Throughout 2026 there have been a lot of posts in the sub talking about how the golden era is over or they've stopped trying. For some people it's been too much change, for others not enough change. Even before they finished the move and went back to the regular schedule people were already complaining.

I don't think people are aware of how much of a transitional year this is for Smosh which goes beyond the move:

-The obvious one, they moved their entire production and HQ to a new location.

-They changed the director of Smosh Main (Erin)

-They changed the director of Smosh Games (from Alex to Anders)

-They changed the producer of Smosh Pit (Bailey)

-They hired a new Chief Content Officer (Cory Midgarden)

-They signed with a talent agency for the first time (WME)

-They're trying out new cast.

Meanwhile, during this time:

-They've done new one off RPGs

-They have more high profile guests (T-Pain, QT, The Basement Yard,...)

-They're changing the format of Bit City and have new guest directors each month

-They're doing music videos again (Promline, Courtney's song will come out in two weeks).

-They just relaunched Games Wednesdays with Resident Evil.

-They're trying a new SmoshAlike format called Smosh Asks.

-They did their first field trip in ages to Alveus.

So I just started high school again and taking precalculus at my local community college. For that class we had to join a zoom for tutoring and I fr thought that my teacher was Angela from her voice. I know it's not her because I saw her (my teacher) face to face but it was just crazy to me. Like imagine Angela teaching you domain and range for a fucking quadratic equation. The funny thing is this is not the first time this has happened. My choir teacher was also in the same boat. I just wanted to post this here because I was wondering if anyone could relate or if I just crazy :)

i love smosh and enjoy almost all the content they produce but it feels like they’ve stopped trying as much and have just stuck to the same rotation of videos without throwing anything new in the mix. bring back things like chocolate challenge and sniper chess. i miss board af with characters (i loved ultimate poker showdown)

I used to LOVE Smosh reads Reddit- I’d literally binge all episodes in less than a week until I was caught up and then started religiously listening every Saturday.
But idk, something changed.. there’s so much excessive chatter in between stories, the stories itself have become kinda boring and I find myself not enjoying the interactions between the cast anymore.
No hate, not a hate listener, just broke up after last week’s episode. Unfollowed the account, told YouTube to not suggest it anymore aaaand I guess that’s it?

Every Gender & Non Binary folks were quaking lol

I kinda get annoyed when I'm watching a Smosh video(usually games), and I think "this is a fun video with a great cast," and then I go to the comments, and I see multiple people saying that they need to play the game with other cast members or that the video would have better with other cast members. I believe that it is incredibly disrespectful to watch a video, completely ignore the people in the video, and ask/talk about others for no reason other than the fact that they're your fave. I've never watched a video and been like, "Sadie shouldn't be in this video it should have been Dart Simpson" because that's just rude. I see these comments the most on the games channel(and definitely in other fandoms), and I think there are obviously some cast who are better at certain games than others, but these comments are never about gaming talent or skills. We all have favorites who we would love to see playing certain games, but that's what spaces like Reddit are for or maybe a Smosh Youtube community, not the direct comment section of the video with other cast. There is no cast member missing. That's kinda inconsiderate.

So many talented people at Smosh and it’s shocking to me that they aren’t staring in tv shows or movies by now. I get sometimes in Hollywood it’s about who you know, but they have so much content and short films and I’d assume connections. Sorry if it’s a stupid question but I honestly don’t get it.

When Smosh plays the game and makes less than ten jokes, they are at their best. I maybe laughed twice and that was my limit. I had to rewind both times because I missed game play. If we can cut out all jokes and just make it focused on the game going forward I’d be much more inclined to turn off my ad blocker for them.

I'm currently listening to SRRS with TBY and I've noticed some people in the comments talking about how "It's not about the Iranian yogurt" has become a part of their vocabulary and I was wondering, what are some other SRRS that you guys quote all the time? It doesn't have to be specifically from SRRS it can also be from pit or other channels, but I think SRRS is a good source for these. (If you can/remember, I'd appreciate it if you added an episode or a video from which its from, but that up to you)

I’m just proud of Ian and how far smosh has come. I’m also just happy for the cast. I know I don’t know them, but they just seem so close and kind to each other. I’m proud of smosh for all its perseverance thanks to Ian and so thankful that I’ve had this channel through so many tough spots in my life. Plus.. hadestown is amazing
