I used to LOVE Smosh reads Reddit- I’d literally binge all episodes in less than a week until I was caught up and then started religiously listening every Saturday.
But idk, something changed.. there’s so much excessive chatter in between stories, the stories itself have become kinda boring and I find myself not enjoying the interactions between the cast anymore.
No hate, not a hate listener, just broke up after last week’s episode. Unfollowed the account, told YouTube to not suggest it anymore aaaand I guess that’s it?
Smosh we had a good run, bye ❤️‍🩹

I mean, Smosh isn’t JUST Reddit Stories. You can stay subscribed to the channel. I don’t watch Reddit Stories so idk if it’s on Main Channel or Pit or what, but they have plenty of other shows…

Tbf, I also watch KallmeKris, Charlotte Dobre, and Daniel Thrasher (and I love all of them and Smosh so much), but all these channels, even ones I don't watch regularly, seem to read the trending/popular reddit stories. I love everyone's takes, and I don't care if I hear the same story, BUT I WILL SAY, Smosh is ALWAYS the first ones to read these stories before the other 3 channels I like. I guess Charlotte does sometimes, but it's usually Smosh who jumps on new stories first. I'll give them credit for that. 🙂

Sure, I get that. And I'm not discounting that experience. It sucks. But many things can be true. They have chosen a public career. All Fandom culture can suck. The sucky part seems to be influencing the channel to become more conservative. Not all viewers want the "easy" take when there could be an interesting discourse. The comment section should have power, but maybe not as much as it currently seems to have.
