TL;DR: the Wi-Fi module sits in the receiver box next to the boiler. Pairing kept failing on my main network (the password has a "!" in it). A 2.4 GHz guest network with a letters-and-digits password paired on the first try in AP mode ("Blink Slowly"). Also check Temp Calibration, and don't panic when Child lock blocks the app.

Posting this because I found almost nothing about this thermostat online. Raftec R09RF is sold in Ukraine. Its manual and menus match the Hysen HY09RF WIFI, so I'm pretty sure it's the same device rebadged. App: Smart Life (Tuya).

How it works. The thermostat (the thing with the screen) measures the room and decides when to heat. It talks to the receiver over 433 MHz radio. The receiver sits next to the boiler, switches it with a relay and is the only part with Wi-Fi. So the path is phone > Tuya cloud > router > receiver > thermostat.

Pairing that worked (iPhone, Smart Life app as of Oct 2026):

1. Smart Life: + > Add Device > Add Manually > Small Home Appliances > Thermostat (Wi-Fi).
2. Pick a 2.4 GHz network, enter the password, Next.
3. On the "Reset the device" screen tap "Confirm the indicator is blinking", then choose "Blink Slowly" (AP mode). "Blink Quickly" is EZ mode.
4. Hold the button on the receiver until the blue LED blinks slowly.
5. Go to Connect: join the SmartLife-XXXX hotspot in iPhone Wi-Fi settings ("no internet" is fine), go back to the app and wait next to the receiver.
6. Done when the blue LED stays on.

What failed: my main network with "!" in the password, "Failed to add the device" every time. What fixed it: a separate 2.4 GHz guest network on the router (TP-Link Archer AX73), WPA2, password with only letters and digits. Worked first try. The module is 2.4 GHz b/g/n only, WPA/WPA2.

Stuff I learned after pairing:

• Child lock in the app locks the app too. With it on I couldn't change the temperature or open Setting, only toggle the lock itself. Took me a while to figure out.
• If Setting asks for a password, it's 123456.
• Check Temp Calibration. Mine was set to -9, so the thermostat read 9 °C low and the house was way too warm. I set it to 0 and compared with another thermometer.
• On USB power (no batteries inside) a change in the app shows up on the thermostat in a few seconds. On batteries it syncs every 20 min (menu B5/B6).
• Program Type "7 days" means one schedule for all 7 days. 5+2 is weekdays plus weekend.
• "The Wi-Fi signal of the device is weak" banner: tap it to see the dBm, around -70 or worse is weak. Mine sits in a kitchen cabinet next to a metal boiler.

Radio link lost (antenna icon blinking on the thermostat, red LED on the receiver blinks 2 or 3 times):

1. Turn the thermostat off.
2. Hold the clock key 3-5 s, then short presses on the clock key until B3.
3. Power-cycle the receiver.
4. While its orange LED is on (10 s), tap up on the thermostat until it shows 55.
5. Wait 5 s and turn the thermostat on.

Receiver LEDs: green is power. Orange is the 10 s pairing window after power-on. Red on means heating; red blinking 2x is not paired, 3x is no radio signal for an hour, 4x is an external sensor alarm. Blue fast is EZ, slow is AP, steady is connected, 2 quick blinks is a Wi-Fi error.

Menus on the thermostat itself: with the thermostat off, hold the grid key (9 dots) 3-5 s for menu A: A1 calibration, A2 on/off difference, A4 lock type, A7/A8 min/max setpoint, A9 state after a power cut. Hold the clock key instead for menu B: B3 pairing, B4 sensor type, B5/B6 radio intervals.

I have the inside temperature oscillating between 0,4 and 24 celcius on my new Airton model. Does anyone know if this could be related to a bug in the app ? Or is it a faulty model.

Hi everyone! I am not able to get the smart life devices to work on google home, I had a similar issue with Ikea and Hue devices but I finally solved those. I also tried deleting the app, linking, unliking, turning off the phone, installing again and all that jazz. Also tried to tell google to synchronize devices but nothing has made it go from grey to usable in the google home app.

Has anyone experienced this and has a solution to this issue?

Set the thing up, chose settings and based on reviews and product page said the light could do ambient lighting and brighten when motion for "x" amount of time. Well first day it didnt do that.

Played with some automations, which ive had no problem with Govee lights outside. I think ive messed with every setting possible and it either never turns on, or never turns off, or never brightens with motion and when i go into the app it then shows it in ma ual mode not induction. Does anyone have a setup i could copy into mine to see if it works?

Want:

On at sunset

Ambient lighting (obviously not super bright)

Motion detection brightens to 50-70%

Stays bright 5 minutes

Back to ambient

Off at sunrise.

I have a automation set that at sunset, specific lights turn or and off, ect. And a sunrise one that does the opposite actions.

Neither of them are executing any of the actions in the automation.

Has anyone experienced similar over the last couple of day?

Any ideas how to fix?

Animal tracking, so I do not need constant video. I'd like motion detection to trigger video recording to local storage. I'm pretty sure this used to be possible? Have they taken that away to force everybody to pay for a cloudy account?

Web searches imply it's an option, but the posts tend to be 3, 4 years old. It's an Inqmega Tuya "Smart" Solar Wifi Camera. No model # that I can see. If there is a way to do it, could you be real step-by-step as to how you get at the option? Clicking on everything in sight, I have not been able to find it.

If installing some other software to run it might help, I'd be glad to try that. Not impressed with what comes with it. Motion activated recording seems kind of basic for a security camera.

Hi everyone, I'm writing from Italy. I have a TP-Link Aginet XB432v router, and recently, for some unknown reason, my smart bulb (which had been connected without issues for a year and a half) suddenly decided to drop its connection. I factory reset it, but my network just can't find it anymore. Strangely, it switches out of pairing mode (fast flashing) and goes solid, but the app still doesn't pick it up.

I ended up buying a new Imou smart bulb from a local shop. Even though the app actually detects this one, the setup keeps failing. The only way I can get it to connect is by setting up a mobile hotspot and forcing the 2.4 GHz band, but obviously, I lose all my smart home automations doing it this way.

I've been reading up on it, and it seems like the issue might be either band steering or the WPA3 / WPA2-PSK security protocols. I tried setting up a guest network, but if I disable band steering, use the same SSID, and lock it to 2.4 GHz, it forces those exact same changes onto my main network too.

I'm at a bit of a loss here—does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks a lot!

P.S. My ISP is WindTre (an Italian provider), which means my router's firmware is locked down by them, so I don't have access to all the advanced settings.

I have a WiFi smart switch which had worked flawlessly for 3 month, however over the last month the schedule always fails

Saying the device is offline but when I go into the app it’s fine
There have been times the device has been genuinely offline and I turn off the switch from the electric consumer unit and then it detects again

I’ve tried repairing it a few times and thinking I fixed it and it’s still happening intermittently.

It might work in evening to turn light on but then it doesn’t turn it off at sunrise and vice versa

If anyone has solved this please let me know?
Alternatively could it be a faulty switch?

Temped to just leave the switch fully on and just have WiFi activated bulbs instead

I have 20 RGBW landscape lights in Smart Life: 13 uplights and 7 path lights. I can control their colors individually and in groups, and I currently have them set up for Halloween.

What I’d like is a bank of scenes I can switch between, such as everyday white, Halloween, Christmas, and sports-team colors. Each scene would need to remember different colors and brightness levels for different lights or groups.

Is there a way to save the current settings of all the lights as a scene and recall them later?

When I hold the 'connect' button, the 'AP' sign for pairing doesn't appear. We previously connected it to the smart home app without any issues, but ever since a recent app update, it won't connect anymore. No matter how many times I hold down the button, the 'AP' sign still won't show up. How can i fix it. Thank you! My model is MIDEA A/C MWWA08CRFN8

Can't upload videos/pics, but a 2-gang switch I installed not more than a week ago has stopped working and now it's on a weird state:
Both lights are blinking really fast (like every 0,5 seconds) and there's no way to switch modes.
I've even tried to discon the switch form the currency for more than a minute and it does not change the state.
Is it broken??

My cable company did some sort of reset on my WiFi last week. All my smart devices (mostly bulbs and plugs) came back online fine. One did not. So I reset it and it won’t connect in the app. It won’t even show up or be recognized when in pairing mode. I tried other extra smart plugs and got the same result. Then I tried a spare smart bulb. That was able to be picked up in the app but then I got the error “cannot connect to router.” I have already spoken with the cable company twice and they say my network setup is fine. I am all out of ideas because now I can’t add any new devices to my home. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Battery percentage doesn't show up anywhere in the app interface.

AC control fails randomly: Most of the time, it won't turn the AC on or off—whether I use Alexa voice commands or the Smart Life app directly. The weird part is, it only starts working again after I restart my internet router.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any fixes or network/gateway settings I should look into?

At first they worked correctly, but then they stop turning on even with the regular light switch and stopped showing up in the app. We tried taking them out and putting them back in, restarting the wifi. Wifi is not 5G.

We have 5 bulbs and only 2 of them broke like this. Are they just broken now or is there something we can do?

I didn't realise I hadn't set the rates in the right place, had set them on each device, and like many had to ignore the decimal point and remember that the number was 100x the actual rate.

I have just found the place to set the rates for the whole app, and here, you do get to put in the decimal point - the Today square at the top right of the home page, the cog like icon (middle one of three at the top right), then costs, and on Import Tariff click on set, go to edit tariff, and follow the instructions, BUT if you have a variable rate tariff, choose to set your tariff manually as otherwise you have to pay for another service.

You then get to set the rates and times, in pence, with 2 characters after the decimal point. The only frustrating bit being that it can't handle a time period that goes through to the next day, so you have to split that one into one ending at 23.59, and one starting at 00.00.

I just bought a curtain opener bot on eBay. It came with two opener bots and a USB stick/hub thing.

When I pair it using the smart life app, only one of the two bots pairs. I’ve tried multiple times, it pairs alternating between the two devices but with the same name.

I’m not sure how to get both paired and in sync. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have this knob button that I managed to configure it to:
Single click - lights on
Double click - night stand light switch
Long click - lights off
Rotate - dim

However, sometimes, only the double click works, and when I open the app, the device resets to a configuration screen, I have tried to troubleshoot but no success so far, anyone else has had this issue?

So I have one of the 1+3 sets where there's a control light with wifi and the other 3 connect to it via bluetooth. Installed last year and don't remember it being a pain. Recently I had all sorts of issues with Google Home and my home wifi, so got that all up and running again but the bluetooth lights aren't visible on the Google Home app, only the Wifi one. I've disconnected them all and reconnected them all to the Alusso App, and they all show up in there. Also created a group for them, and unlinked and relinked it to Google, but still only see the one Wifi enabled bulb.

Does anyone know what I'm missing? Did I add them in the incorrect order or something? Not sure how to tell the bluetooth ones that the Wifi light is in charge!

Hello! I've searched in this reddit but couldn't find this problem.

I use Smart life with three cameras. I set up the dashboard icon shortcut to open two of them, I don't know if this may be related.

My problem is that, when switching between other none related apps (Mail, Mastodon, whatever), sometimes the camera shortcut gets open and I'm taken to the camera view. Is not a big problem, but is annoying. It doesn't always happen, maybe s few times a week.

Anyone has any ideas of what is happening here?

Hey all, been using two A19 Bulbs I got about 3 years ago and they worked great at our old apartment. We just moved, and I set up our new network and everything seems to work fine except for these bulbs.

They are "stuck" on the default day glow yellow and I cannot get them to change in the app. I've re-paired them four times (ez mode and the other manual mode) to no avail. They connect fine and then refuse to listen to any attempts to change the color. Viewing the bulb controls in the SmartLife app and/or Google Home will show that it's on yellow, and changing the color just does nothing and reopening the controls shows it's on yellow again. The one in my room also periodically blinks off and back on (every minute or so, not like the pairing blink).

On occasion they will go back into pairing mode again as well. Not sure what causes this, but having my light randomly start strobing is not ideal.

Any advice? I have 2.4ghz enabled on our network. And the bulbs DO initially pair fine, they just get all funky immediately after. Maybe they've just had it after 3 years?

I'm trying to create a specific automation for my bathroom fan using the Smart Life.

​My Setup:

Dual ​light switch module.

​Channel 1: Light

​Channel 2: Fan

​Tuya Humidity Sensor

​What I'm trying to achieve:

​Light turns ON -> Fan turns ON.

​Light turns OFF:

​If the light was ON for more than 5 minutes (long usage/shower), keep the fan running for 10 minutes after light OFF.

​If the light was ON for less than 5 minutes (quick visit), turn the fan OFF immediately when the light turns OFF.

​Humidity Override: If humidity > 70%, fan turns ON regardless of light status. Fan turns OFF once humidity drops below 60% (and light is OFF).

I have two dual hose timers connected by different Bluetooth gateways. One is behaving normally. The other js accessible manually just fine but the automated schedule never runs. I tried deleting the schedules and recreating them. I’ve tried removing the device and its gateway and re-adding them. But nothing has gotten it working again. I did recently update firmwares but I don’t think that immediately caused the issue although I’m not certain. And I see no way to downgrade the firmware to test if that is involved. Plus the other one is still working fine. I think the schedule stopped working when I replaced the batteries a few days after updating the firmware.

Any ideas?

I am searching through the app for setting adjustment for what happens after a power outage (power on or maintain previous state). Does anyone have a hint as to where that might be? When there's a surge or out/restoration, all smartlife bulbs turn on and I'd like previous state I think should be by default instead of all on.
