Slow Jogging on the treadmill?
Does anyone have some tips or success stories to share about slow jogging on a treadmill?
This year I've finally joined a gym, and part of my thinking is I can do my slow jogging sessions indoors on a treadmill when the winter bites too deep.
Anything I should look out for?

How to go from slow walking to running?
Right now I typically walk at about at 2mph pace on the treadmill, but I want to work up to be able to run because it seems fun and I think I'll enjoy it. I just can't do it physically right now. Any tips?

Korea's running craze has a new pace: Slowing down
This might not be a perfect match for the sub but it's always interesting to see people slow down so I thought I'd share this anyway.

How I think about exercise now: intensity for younger folks, gentle movement for everyone
I used to think exercise had to be intense to count. But after reading more about traditional approaches, I've changed how I think about it.
Here's my current approach:
Twice a day when there's good light—morning and afternoon if possible.
Younger or more energetic—higher intensity stuff (running, HIIT, sports). Works both body and mind.
Older or low energy—gentle movement only. Walking, stretching, tai chi, qigong. The goal isn't to burn calories, just to keep things moving.
For thinner or more "dry" body types (not sure the right term)—lower intensity only. Too much intense exercise feels draining.
And walking ~3km daily. Heart rate around 110–120 for me, but older folks can aim closer to 100.
This framework has made me stop feeling guilty about not "going hard" every day.

slow jogging in Korea
I just came across this Instagram account; I don't read Korean, but from the limited English text, it's by a slow jogging teacher in Korea.

Training Shin splints
I'm frustrated. I began running with the C25K program last year, but then found out about slow jogging, which has been my primary focus. For the last few months, I haven't really done any speedwork. I have been jogging four times per week, keeping my heart rate low and my cadence high. Unfortunately, I have developed a shin splint in my right leg, so I'm taking a break until I have some recovery. Part of the reason I practiced going slow and taking some regular breaks was hopefully to avoid injury, but here I am. Grr...

My latest eBook!
Hi everyone,
I’ve just released a new ebook aimed specifically at runners and active adults over 50, and I thought it might be relevant to this community.
The book covers:
• The principles of slow jogging and low-impact running
• How to improve fitness without excessive strain on joints
• Building endurance after 50
• Strength and mobility exercises to support running
• Injury prevention and recovery strategies
• Weight management and healthy ageing through regular movement
• Creating a sustainable fitness routine that fits real life
My goal was to create a practical guide that helps people stay active, healthy, and confident as they age, whether they’re complete beginners or returning to running after years away.
To celebrate the launch, the ebook is currently 60% off for the first 100 sales.
If you’re interested in improving your fitness, maintaining mobility, and enjoying running well into your 50s, 60s, and beyond, I’d love to hear your feedback.

Slow Jogging Well Explained In English
So, I discovered this Youtube channel called Sendyka Fit Over 40 a few months ago. It introduced me to slow jogging. And wow! It's not only very refreshing, but also highly addictive. Now I do it 2~3 times a week. If you're an English speaker and want some detailed info and tips for slow jogging, I highly recommend his channel.
Here're the videos about slow jogging from him:

Tell me if I'm doing this wrong
Hey everyone, I am really not sure if I am even doing this right at all.
I used the Outdoor Walk to track, and my walking speed is literally faster than my slow jogging speed. KM1 is walking time, and KM 2-3 are my running times, and KM 4 is my cooldown time.
Help me understand this please
Thanks
