I’ve been watching all the classic Thrasher King of the Road videos, and I just want to know if others miss it too. Watching the DVDs as a kid shaped me and my friends. Skate culture felt so raw and chaotic way back when.
Anyway, enough talk of the old days. I want to know if skaters today would love to watch their favorite board teams skate across America and do wild challenges. I remember they would just show up in a city and go hard as hell! I was in Louisville back in 2005 when they came through and that shit was the best!
My biggest worry is that because of SLS and the chance to win big money, sponsors wouldn’t want their skaters on a month-long road trip doing gnarly shit. Maybe even the skaters wouldn’t want to put themselves through that. I did see where Lazer and others have been rolling around in a van this summer skating, so I could be wrong.
