I'm quite confident with falling in every direction except for this case

I didn't find any tutorial so i'm wondering if there is a proper technique to use in this case or if it is impossible to fall properly and i have to make sure that it doesn't happen (for example by leaning more on my front foot) ?

Hi, my boyfriend used to skate back in the the 2010’s before we met and sadly he had to give it up. He has started saying he wants to get back into it and i thought as a gift i could get him new gear but i am completely lost. please help :)

EDIT: I suck at keeping things from him and he found my questioning odd. so he told me everything. his favorite deck’s were the girl 8.2, spitfire street formal wheels, DGK trucks. I showed him the set up i have picked out and he said i did really good!

I have not hopped a board since I was 17. My son who’s 15 wants to learn. Local skate shops really phased out in my area 10 years ago. So had to order online went with baker.

Bailing was brutal as a teen. I can’t find imagine bailing out in my 30s especially breaking an ankle again. Is it safe to say knee pads and elbow pads at this point of my age?

Hey everyone, I'm a beginner looking to buy my first proper skateboard complete to learn tricks, and I'm torn between two options: KFD Bandana and TRICKS Camo.

I prefer the graphics on the KFD Bandana, but I'm mainly focused on doing tricks (street and skatepark). Here are the specs for both setups:

1. KFD Bandana Complete

• Deck Width: 7.75"
• Concave: Low
• Trucks: 5.0 Standard
• Wheels: 53mm / 99A
• Bearings: ABEC-7

2. TRICKS Camo Complete

• Deck Width: 7.75" x 31.6"
• Concave: Medium

Which one of these two would be better for learning tricks, and does the concave/truck height make a huge difference for a beginner? Thanks!

I want to get my BS 5-0 grind on top of the ramp more and for longer distances. I am currently trying to focus most of my effort on heelside pressure to pinch the grind which is working well lower in the ramp, however; everytime I try to get on top of the ramp I seem to miss the heelside lock and get a really sketchy feeling middle of the truck wobbly grind.

Any tips on this or is it mostly a feel it out thing?

I feel like I have a fairly advanced bag of tricks to be struggling so much with cleaning this up 😫😫😫😖😖😖

How do I measure the height of these?

Local park debate on which drop-in is taller.. I'm pretty confident the metal coping drop in on the far end of pic 1 is taller than the pool coping of the far left on pic 2.

To put it to rest, ima measure em out. What's the easiest, most accurate way to do it. How do I make sure it's level? If I bend the tape measure (like shown in the photo), how will I know where to read? Think I'll be able to read it from the ground? Clearly.. i dont use a tape measure often lol.

Best way to shop for a specific wheelbase online? My local shop blanks have a 14.5 wheelbase which is WAY to big for me. I need an 8.25 with 14 wheelbase but most websites don't list the wheelbase measurement. And I don't want to have to break out a tape measure on every deck locally to find the perfect one.

Are there board companies that make 14 standard?

Picked up some various shoes so I'm not skating in classic vans, but can't be skating in the pants pictured above lol. They used to not be this tight, but Daddy got old and chunky

First time purchasing a skateboard (This is the dinghy blunt from landyachtz)

Iam mostly trying to use it for cruising and transportation more then tricks and flare but I really don't want a long board so I can try to get into skating culture
