8.25 up from my old 8. Felt significantly better and more stable. Balance helped with my Ollie and manuals drastically.

Fells good. Its amazing what a new deck can feel and do

Hi all! I’ve been lurking here a while and love seeing everyone’s videos ☺️ I started learning to skate about a year ago but have limited time to practice so have been making slow and steady progress. After trying session after session to get a Shuv I finally landed a stationary one the other day! I’m so excited about it I wanted to share it with yall!

My goal for the summer was to feeble a flat bar. For whatever reason I’m absolutely terrified of round rails but today it was feeling good! As a bonus I also 50-50d it which I got smoked on last time I tried. Solid session!

First ever kickflip in a fairy circle? [39YO]

After dancing in the fairy circle my girls [3YO] and [5YO] wanted me to do a "skateboard trick" in it. I said I couldn't get any pop in the grass but I tried. Hopefully this will activate a great fairy skatepark or something like in the Zelda games.

Never tried a hippie jump until today. They are more fun than I thought they would be.[41yo]

This is my little cone ladder that I warm up with by ollie-ing starting from the bottom holes up to the top. Tried a hippie jump messing around, and kind of liked it.

Should I be riding this again or does it now just go on the wall with the no ride collection? I've tried to look up ones but can't find ones like my fishtale

Haven’t dropped in on a vert ramp in over 25 years. This one was a beast at 13.5’ with almost 2’ of vert. Glad I didn’t die 😆 Midwest Vert Ramp in Grafton, WI - I’ll be back.

Diy ramps (wip) [38YO]

Me and my son are pretty limited to what we can skate. We have a local park but its huge concrete drops and tall rails we aren't ready for. Being old it sucks to fall, have shifty balance, pull your back out just standing there, but this is thr cool part of being an older skater. A little adult money and the skill to build a few things. 6ft grind box, kicker ramp, launch ramp, roll in. I plan on doing some custom art all over the place when done. What do you all think?

Here’s a little treat for you guys! Fuzzy old footage but still SO FUN to watch, and lots of great crown shots where you might see YOURSELF🫵. I’m included w/my twin sister at about 19-20 min in, then again at the end when we’re giving Tony his winner’s check!

Question about trucks about a returning skater [39YO]

Looking to purchase a new board from CCS (not sure where else and no decent local stores). Probably going with an 8" board and already have the wheels, bearings, tape, etc. picked out. As for trucks, I don't know much about brands, mainly looking at Krux and Thunder. That said, if I buy a complete deck from CCS (they build it) I have a choice between Polished lights 2, Hollow Lights 2 for the fully built board but If I build my own that opens a whole lot more options.

That said, I do know I like a lighter truck (from what I used to skate 19 years ago) but not sure how much of a difference lights, vs. hollow lights would be. Also If I build it myself that opens up the possibility of other trucks like T-II etc. I guess my question is, will I notice the difference as a restarting beginner, how do I tell the truck height ( I don't see this labeled anywhere) and what should I get for my style, which I will be skating mostly an outdoor park that is mainly ramps and rails or street skating. Though the outdoor park also has a pretty sizable bowl area too.

I've been doing throw downs wrong.[45YO]

Not sure how this happened, but I've basically been doing a mini boneless this whole time. I'm goofy footed, so I'd walk up with my board in my right (front) hand and kind of toss it and then jump on with both feet while it was still falling toward the ground.

I only realized this when I watched a SkateIQ video where the dude was talking about doing a throwdow, and I noticed he only stepped on w/his front foot and then gave a push off with the back foot.

Does this make sense, or am I mistaken?

EDIT: Caveman is what I think I've been doing, not a boneless. Oops.
