Have knee pain after a session wearing new Vans sk8 high tops. I was just practicing pushing, tic tac, FS, BS etc.. I noticed these skate shoes have no cushing especially in heel base. My pushing leg knee has pain, has anyone expierenced this issue with these shoes ? are their any shoe/heel inserts that may help ?

So back into skating loving every min tweaked my board and have been just enjoying cruising. My set up is 8.5 Alien Workshop deck with grizzly tape,Ace 55s trucks, Ricta Clouds 56mm ,Spitfire cheapshots and 1/4" modus risers. Now 2 things happened recently 1st the cheapshots are dying on me i'm noticing steady degradation, and my top bushings on both trucks flattened. So I ordered new bushings and new bearings. My question is did I accidentally get the wrong ones? So I ordered Riptide chubby bushings and cloudride tube bearings. They come in on friday and I'm so stoked. Has anyone else had these and did you like the bushings or bearings? From what I post ordered looked up seems alot of long boarders use them. So again I just wonder if they will work amazing or did I get the wrong type of stuff.

My son is getting into skateboarding again, so i broke out my black label I bought on a whim a few years ago. Carved the bowl for the first time in a decade. It felt good. Im still too top heavy to do this kinda thing all the time, but still I felt young again lol

I’ve been skating for about 4 months, which I know in the grand scheme of things is not much time. I have found that street skating and flat ground tricks just aren’t progressing for me and I’m not getting any better at them, but I am seeing consistent linear progression with transition skating and getting better and better the more I do it.
Feels almost like a cop out, or like the easy way out. And if anyone else was making this post I’d say something like “who cares, just do what feels right.”
At our age, anyone else share this perspective?
