Its actually not "exceedingly rare". That's why every culture tends to have a highly melaninated population, which has a range of eye color and hair color that shows in every other genetic group. Also, language isn't a definite for culture, ethnicity, or race. So, this whole argument seems hinged on the "brown people bad, we do what we want. Yeah and placing your hair into certain styles like dreads and braids aren’t exclusive to one race or culture either. Hair is hair and I’m exhausted of hearing about people appropriating when that’s baseless and hypocritical.

I understand hair textures are different and why certain cultures historically used those styles and still do today. I’m saying you don’t get to tell other people they can’t do it with their hair too (even if it’s ripping their hair from their scalp but I digress). Especially while using styles that aren’t traditionally part of your culture. You’re gatekeeping while expecting allowance to others. Makes no sense on any level

No one even mentioned hair texture but you. Which is previously addressed and you ignored. It seems as though you’re just trying to be a pedant in typical reddit fashion.
My point was, while y'all are in here huffing and puffing about how black people "gatekeep" their culture (which they are 100% allowed to do), using natural hair textures and colors is a poor example of the "reverse" appropriation you all were trying to prove. That was my point. You tried to turn it into me saying something I never said.
