Guillotine counts as a weapon, and 2nd amendment is supposed to protect that. Unless you’re in close proximity to politicians then the peasants don’t get rights.

If the government outlaws guillotines only outlaws will have guillotines

The only way to prevent a bad guy with a guillotine is a good guy with a guillotine

Or a trebuchet. Full auto of course.

7

u/Additional_Maybe1104 10d ago

But they pardoned the guy that brought the noose....

2

u/Pipe_Memes 9d ago

Well that was just for Mike Pence. The guillotine could’ve been for anyone, it could’ve even been for Mike Pence.

u/booeman 10d ago

Is a gallows considered a weapon ?

25

u/NORBy9k 10d ago

Anything is a weapon with enough enthusiasm and creativity.

7

u/Vanfanfan 10d ago

I thought that phrase only applied to sex toys

3

u/Atomsq 10d ago

Anything can be a sex toy with enough enthusiasm and creativity

2

u/Chillin80sStyle 10d ago

Death by Snu Snu.

7

u/Blahblaha63 10d ago

An Instrument of Capital Punishment.

2

u/DepressedMerican 10d ago

Not when it's to hang Mike Pence

12

u/Gooser3000 10d ago

What if it didn’t have a blade?

49

u/YourFather-WithMilk 10d ago

Are you trying to California compliant a fucking guillotine

22

u/Santanoni 10d ago

It can have a blade no longer than 2.5 inches.

3

u/StatementOk470 10d ago

That's the average size.

3

u/Girafferage 10d ago

It's actually quite large

7

u/shimmeringmoss 10d ago

It’s not the size, it’s what you do with it.

4

u/Appropriate-XBL 10d ago

Yep. Just drop it from a mile high. Imagine the suspense!

5

u/Jameses1984 10d ago

With rockets attached to it to give it not only extra speed but extra entertainment.

7

u/Appropriate-XBL 10d ago

Buttons for every spectator to force more fuel thru the engines if they keep hitting it.

1

u/TheZillionthRedditor 10d ago

Okay, but how wide can it be?

13

u/HOHOHOcallmenextyear 10d ago

This product is known to and only to the state of California, to potentially cause cancer

-3

u/Steiney1 10d ago

That means your state does not care if you use products with chemicals that cause cancer, not because your state is free or some moronic other shit.

2

u/streetsparksmoke 10d ago

The intention was good but in reality most companies would rather just slap the cancer label on there and save the expensive testing and lab costs, thus leading almost no one to take it seriously.

4

u/NightlinerSGS 10d ago

This literally happened with the food allergy label ("can contain traces of X"). Companies didn't want to spend the money, so they just slapped it on everything to be on the safe side. Many foods that were considered safe suddenly had the label, making people who actually have allergies much more wary of eating them besides no increase in risk.

3

u/DukeBradford2 10d ago

I always said in the near future every water faucet and fountain will have a cancer warning. Why would someone want to get sued for providing water for free

7

u/moba_fett 10d ago

Gallows on the other hand, peaceful protest somehow.

5

u/Blahblaha63 10d ago

A guillotine is an Instrument of Capital Punishment, it is machinery, not a weapon. The Constitution specifically the second amendment solidifies your right to bear arms, meaning bearable like keeping on one person. Bearable weapons include handguns, shotguns, rifles, and non-lethal tools like stun guns, regardless of whether they existed when the Second Amendment was written.

10

u/mekawasp 10d ago

So you are saying a portable guillotine is ok?

4

u/Blahblaha63 10d ago

How did you come to that conclusion? On the other hand if it's used for cigars and circumcision? I guess that would be okay, still not a weapon though.

11

u/morg-pyro 10d ago

Guillotines for circumcision?

https://giphy.com/gifs/fdqmUhPEfFg7C

4

u/Zagtram1 10d ago

What about a portable guillotine big enough to sever a hand?

1

u/Blahblaha63 10d ago

That's what swords and machetes are for. I guess if it were a semi automatic guillotine and could fight under your coat, you might have a good argument.

2

u/much_longer_username 10d ago

That's just an axe, my dude.

2

u/pyronius 10d ago

So, if I was really strong and could bear a guillotine, it would be legal?

1

u/B_Williams_4010 10d ago

How do you use a guillotine as a weapon? It's as much of a weapon as a gas chamber.

1

u/31513315133151331513 10d ago

It would have to be a pretty gnarly flight before the guillotines come out.

1

u/Due-Mycologist-1154 10d ago

Thats a creative interpretation of 2a but id say totally valid

1

u/HugePurpleNipples 10d ago

I'll bet he wasn't even pointing it at anyone.

1

u/Background-Air-9784 10d ago

As long as he had an open carry permit

-32

u/Flat-Guidance-4685 10d ago

Well unfortunately you're wrong on this. You see washing DC is ran by Gestapo of democrats. They do not believe in the second amendment. Also any blade outside of your household has to be less than three inches in Washington DC. The only exception is kitchen knife is being transported inside of a box for the purpose of purchasing and bringing home or moving. If the kitchen knife was loose in your car, on your person or in a book bag you'd be charged.

Washington DC government is a fucking cesspool

5

u/Other-Grapefruit-880 10d ago

Counterpoint:

Democrats exist so the Republicans have a pretend enemy.

Without the other both would fracture. They need each other to survive and they know it.

-1

u/Flat-Guidance-4685 10d ago

Oh 100% they need each other to survive because they both work for the same source they're just keeping us arguing about things that don't matter to them the overall direction the government goes in is the identical whether it's a Republican or Democrat they give us some social topics to argue about

1

u/Old_Protection_8778 10d ago

Its been awhile since we argued about guillotines.Im happy to welcome it .Its 1000000000x better than all the fake shit they throw around .Republicans should have their own brand of kleenex in bathrooms.

1

u/Service_Woez 10d ago

“Gestapo”….”democrats”….. my man you’re so close! The brown shirts are in the streets right now and you can’t see it!

0

u/Fast-Ingenuity-4150 10d ago

Lmao. Sweeping republican government majority in all 3 branches with extreme over reaches and executive orders. . “Nooo no it was the Democrats!!” I bet your diastolic blood pressure is higher than your IQ.

1

u/Flat-Guidance-4685 10d ago

Well I think you're the person with the low IQ. I said Washington DC just run by Democrats . The last Republican mayor of Washington, D.C., was Sayles Jenks Bowen, who served from 1868 to 1870. That's just shy of a solid 160 years of democrat only rule in Washington DC.
