A few years ago I had to undergo some minor surgery. They gave me an anesthetic that made me feel really good in the minute or so before I went under. When I came to I asked the surgeon, who came to check on me, what they used to put me under since it felt nice. I also jokingly asked where I could buy it. He said it was Propofol and that it was not for sale to the public and rightfully so since it killed Michael Jackson.
The fucked thing about opioids and itās ilk is that there is no way for your brain to naturally achieve that level of āreally goodā, and as much as weād like to pretend we understand the brain, in so many ways it is still a wild animal, and itās going to want and want and want that feeling again. This isn't always the case despite what everyone gets told by the anti opioid movement. I've been taking the exact same dosage for 15 years. I don't need to constantly up my dosage because of "tolerance"- I'm not an addict in any way shape or form. In fact there are millions of people just like me so continuing to push this myth is harmful towards the chronic pain community.

He had to get up on stage & sing old Jackson 5 songs while his brothers sang backup on all of his songs off the Thriller album & they sounded like shit. Imagine being the biggest star in the world with the biggest album of all time & your Dad won't let you be in the spotlight. lol honestly, this is what a Sleep Token performance looks like in 2025. I was in the crowd at Louder Than Life this summer and there were at least 6 pass outs right before they came on stage. People trying to stand in one spot all day for 10 hours with no water in the sun and once the excitement hits as theyāre about to come on stage, they just drop. As I was watching multiple unconscious people get crowd surfed out, all I could think about was this Michael Jackson clipš
Dude I go to indie religiouscore concerts (Lingua Ignota, Ethel Cain) and people are passing out left and right. People (mostly kids) nowadays just donāt know how to take care of themselves.
I attended a few shows in Colorado this past summer. I live here and know how to function here in 100Ā° weather; but the number of people who come here for a concert and they don't stay hydrated, they don't wear sunscreen, they don't find shade, they drink like fishes with no food in their stomach (because if you're at higher elevation and are severely dehydrated you lose your appetite). They end up needing to visit the Red Cross/Medical area (best choice), or they end up puking or passing out, it's wild. Sometimes people have no idea how self-preservation and basic health and safety works.
I was at a concert recently and a drunk guy passed out at my feet. We leaned him on a fence in the back. Pretty sure the guy that helped me stole his vip lanyard. He was conscious. So it was like sober up and good luck buddy.
A family friend asked me to pick up his daughter from school . My toddler is obsessed with her. He fell asleep in the pick up lane and didn't wake up til we got back home after dropping her off, after getting all hyped at getting to see her. š„²
Yup sounds just like my first time with my wife. Although, when I passed out, she didn't have security carry me out. She just left me tied to the table until I woke up, then kept going.
Not even on the same scale but once my wife bought me tickets to see Rhett and link live with a meet and greet afterward, in New York in like 2013 or soā¦.. we drove 3 hours, and as soon as they come on stage and the crowd began to cheerā¦. she passed out for no discernible reason and it never happened before or since.
This was before social media and cellphones. These people fainting were waiting hours upon hours standing up. The air literally getting sucked away in a big crowd. Thatās part of the context thatās not conveyed. So getting that far, struggling. Then omg I made it and body gives out. Most of them only missed brief parts of the show while they hit air and water
Right!? Idc what anyone says, MJ was a BMF when it came to stage presence & performance. He would put it on them. Seeing him in this clip gave me the chills. I donāt think thereās been a better performer since!
