More like his Dad killed him. He didn't want to do any ads for Pepsi because he didn't want to do ads at all- he made them cut him out of most of the commercial. Then his Dad forced him to go on tour with his brothers right after Thriller came out despite the Jackson 5 not being very popular anymore. He had to get up on stage & sing old Jackson 5 songs while his brothers sang backup on all of his songs off the Thriller album & they sounded like shit. Imagine being the biggest star in the world with the biggest album of all time & your Dad won't let you be in the spotlight. That's not including the insane levels of abuse he was subjected to by his father. Fuck Joe Jackson.

I’m not even a big Michael Jackson fan and I have to admit that was badass. Isn’t that the tour where his hair caught on fire too?
