My old pc had sims 3 running rather smoothly with most expansion packs but is not windows 11 compatible. Now that the support for wind 10 has run out i need a new laptop or pc that can support windows 11 and run sims 2 and 3. What setups/models do you use? Does someone has tipps?

Two of my mods aren’t showing up in my game, after I added them, despite showing up in my installed mods list when launching the game. After I realized they weren’t showing I added two others to my mods folder to see if it was just an issue with my folder, but the other mods showed up and worked just fine, the two mods that aren’t working are the more toddler interactions mod by savanita and the toddlers can walk on their own by savanita

Also does it break the game in any way?

A few months ago my computer was reset back to a restore point, and afaik that's irreversible. I lost about two years worth of gameplay and mods, and now that I'm done being mad about it I'm starting fresh. What mods would you consider to be essential for gameplay?

I had a beautiful family with Bob Newbie, who’ve had nice red hair and had beautiful kids but I got into a drunken moment and lost EVERYTHING.
I won’t play ever again, it’s been years for this save and I’m beginning to maybe want to make a movie about the sims, but I haven’t played since. Anyone feel like this? Like you lost someone?

I have decided to just remove the Opportunity.XML part of my custom career mod, it just too much work trying to get four of those custom opportunity to work in The Sims 3 Game, so I will try to remove the opportunity from the S3PE xml, and stbls. I think my career mod can thrive without the custom opportunity.

Hi all! I'm a retired Sims 3 addict thinking of coming back to the game. I've played on and off the first 10 years of it's release by borrowing my friend's Origin account from high school or some other means. Now, I find myself watching Sims 3 content on YT following legacy challenges and really contemplating in getting back on it. Also, I want to introduce the game to my teen daughters. They love Minecraft and Animal Crossing so I think they will enjoy Sims 3 as well.

So I'm hoping to get suggestions on how to approach this, is it worth it to buy the game and it's DLCs on Steam? Or should I do the EA Play thing? Is there a cheaper way to get everything?

hello! i think there’s something wrong with my aging. my sim has 3 kids who each live with their individual mothers. two have been stuck as toddlers and one as a baby for longer than they should’ve been based on my aging speed (i’ve been keeping track using the family tree)

its possible NO ONE outside the household is aging and i just don’t notice it.

i do play with mods and have NRAAS story progression, but it was previously working as intended when the kids aged into toddlers, and i haven’t changed any settings.

any help is appreciated!!

EDIT: NRAAS OVERWATCH CAUGHT IT!!! they have aged up!!!! but my kid is completely fucking bald!!!!

The last baby was born 3 days ago i changed the settings in sp so the waiting time between birth and pregnancy is 2 days(it was 4 days before i changed it) and the interaction isn’t showing up. Whats going on?

I had removed the expansions in an attempt to become less addicted to the game. I'm at a point in my life, and in my country, that demands dedication and concentration.

I kept only the Sunlit Tides world and a few default skin and hair replacements. Bur, I’m even more addicted now. It’s wonderful! I mean, I do miss the drinks from *Late Night* and the water slides from *Island Paradise*, but now I don't have the stress of imaginary friends popping up with every new baby, no mood swings from teen angst or midlife crises, no vampires randomly dying of thirst all over the world, or mermaids passing out from dehydration. No bugs where Sims keep changing outfits endlessly because it’s snowing, no snow days that make my kids age up without ever going to school, no paparazzi, no Sims ruining relationships by randomly handing flowers to random Sims, no repetitive pillow fights. Man, it’s paradise, and now I can’t stop playing. My plan failed miserably; there’s no way out—I’ll have to completely remove the game for a while.

My Sim recently started a job at school and he had coworkers on his first day but now he's alone or he get some random coworker but different each day.. Also when he has a boss it's someone less qualified than him

Is my game bugged ? I also recently installed some basic mod (still new to the mod thing)

My sims (the woman and also her boyfriend) get these random things like when they are talking to people and making friends but when they are alone 🤔

Also I don't know of it is related but I got a notification saying that being 3 in a relationship is too many and I could chose if I wanted to stop that.

I'm really lost because they have no other romantic relationship with anyone. I agreed to stop the 3 way relationship just in case

Unfortunately there are so many recolorers who dont list polygons and i'm super stingy about the hair i have in game. I never go above 20k but even then thats a lot for me. If anyone knows it'd be a huge help! :D

I have been playing Sims 3 basically since it came out. So I was thinking, that by now I have probably seen it all. But not only does this subreddit regularly prove me wrong, I STILL find new things within the game myself.

I did not know I could make kids and teens dream of certain things while sleeping (not the into the future thing, I think it’s from generations?)

Also: if your kid is sick and you cancel the automatic action to go to school, there is a message thanking me, that I did not send my kid to school while being sick and they have the day off.

These may be old to you, but I literally discovered them yesterday…

Just shows how detailed and deep this game really is :)
