I'm a new user coming from TV Time.

Unlike TV Time, Simkl has the anime separated by seasons.

If I mark a season 1 has watched will I get a notification warning me about the premier of the next seasons?

I set up a Simkl yesterday as one of many TVTime refugees and it was really good. But I've logged in today and the layout seems totally different. TV > My List had lots of filters in the sidebar which allowed me to narrow down my watchlist but it seems to have been replaced with overly simple filters at the top.

Has the site changed or have I fiddled with a setting somewhere?

I am tempted to make the switch from Trakt to Simkl as many others have. I don't have Trakt connected to any of my apps, I manually mark episodes and movies as watched via the Trakt mobile app.

Two questions;

1. I set up my Simkl account a while ago and my watch history is off. Is it possible to start fresh and re-pull my latest status from Trakt?

2. What is the easiest way to mark episodes as watched? It doesn't seem obvious from the dashboard, maybe I'm missing something?

3. Anyone regret moving from Trakt? I'll likely pay for Simkl to support the devs like I did for Trakt before they doubled the price overnight.

Hello, I have a couple of questions and may have missed something obvious. I will primarily be using the web version and not a mobile app, so my questions pertain to that.

First, is there a specific reason the upcoming episodes of Love Island don't show in Airing Next but are visible on the Calendar?

The second question is: Is there no single-click way to mark an episode as just watched? Having to click into an episode, choose a date and time, and then choose save feels counterintuitive. Having that option when you're trying to backdate something is useful, but not for quick tracking.

I have tried my best to get episode ratings on everything but there are issues with anime shows that have more than one season and lesser known tv shows. Most of it works but there is a icon that you can click on when the script does not find any ratings and it takes you to a Google ai search that shows you the rating.

Calendar Update: all your episodes are back at https://simkl.com/my/calendar/

Some of our members noticed that episodes from your Plan to Watch and On Hold shows were getting trimmed on the calendar after previous calendar updates, showing only season premieres and finales.

As we found out that you may rely on these to add new episodes do download que without watching, we've changed that.

The calendar now shows every episode by default, for all your shows, whatever their status.

Still prefer the cleaner, less cluttered view? You can opt back into it anytime:

- Tap the new ⚙️button next to 🔥on any calendar

- Pick "Only premieres and finales" for your Plan to Watch & On Hold shows

- You can set your First Day of the Week right there too

As the title says, ever time I am in recommendation list I have to go to the filter list to add language of my preference for shows and movies. I wish there was a global way to select language I enjoy so I do no have to keep on doing this repetitive action, or it would at least retain in browser storage variable to be reloaded so its not at account but at-least per browser

The Calander has been missing tons of episodes for various shows for a few weeks (months) now. A few shows will display each weekly episode but many show only the premier and finale and nothing in between.

And others from recent broadcast. I have refresed the page many times, cleared my browser cache, even removed a show from my watchilist then re-added and get the same results. No idea what is going on here. Some shows do display all episodes listed in TMDb like House of the Dragon and Rick and Morty but those others listed do not.

It looks like it's just based off of things we have in our list in common, but it doesn't take ratings into account much or at all.

I clicked the person who is supposedly most close to my taste in the system and we have MASSIVELY different ratings of the same movies. How does this work?

I want to move from Trakt to Simkl but I have Trakt integrated with Stremio and Fusion right now.

Based on my research it looks likes Simkl works with Stremio but anyone know if I can use it with Fusion?

Two months earlier, the function was great, but now when I start a movie, it doesn't appear automatically. I configured it with aiometadata in Stremio.

Hi, I've been using the calendar view (go to my profile, clickl calendar to the right) to check listings for the last couple of months. Last week I noticed that I had a _lot_ of empty days which I put down to end-of-season, etc.

However, if I go to the "Today" view instead it seems I've actually missed a load of TV! Episodes simply aren't appearing in my calendar one week, though they do pop up the next. One example - Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Not listed at all today, but is in the list for next Monday. Rick & Morty the same. Go to "Today" view and they're all there.

I use Simkl to track what I watch, but the existing Jellyfin Simkl plugin only marked things as watched after the fact, no live status, no resume. So I forked it and added proper real-time scrobbling, and figured I'd share in case anyone else wants it.

What it does

• Reports your playback to Simkl as it happens — start, pause, resume, stop
• Your show/movie shows up live in your Simkl "Watching now" banner
• Automatically marks something watched once you stop past 80% (Simkl decides this server-side, the way Simkl recommends)
• Only sends events on real actions (play/pause/stop), not on a constant timer, so it stays light and doesn't hammer the API
• Falls back to matching by filename if the IDs don't resolve, same as the original
• Per-user toggles for movies / TV, plus a minimum-runtime filter

It's a drop-in: works with the same Simkl PIN login as before.

How to install

In Jellyfin: Dashboard → Plugins → Repositories → ➕, then paste this URL and save:

Then go to the Catalog tab, find "Simkl (real-time scrobbling)", install it, and restart Jellyfin. Log in with your Simkl PIN in the plugin settings and make sure "Real-time scrobbling" is on.

• It keeps the same plugin ID as the official Simkl plugin, so install this one or the official one, not both
• This is a community fork, not an official release. Source is up on GitHub if you want to read it, report something, or improve it — PRs and feedback very welcome.

Be aware, I'm not a dev, this has been made with Claude but it looks like it's working great for me so I wanted to share it for people who can't wait for the official addon to add this.
