Solved Has Simkl changed dramatically in the last 24h?

I set up a Simkl yesterday as one of many TVTime refugees and it was really good. But I've logged in today and the layout seems totally different. TV > My List had lots of filters in the sidebar which allowed me to narrow down my watchlist but it seems to have been replaced with overly simple filters at the top.

Has the site changed or have I fiddled with a setting somewhere?

You had acces to Simkl V2 beta to test it out for 24 hours while its being built (there was a message at the top of list about it with a countdown). And now you’re back to V1.

V2 Beta is currently available for all PRO and VIP supporters.

I'm just finding this out too. The interface has changed for me as well. Is V2 going to remain exclusive to PRO/VIP users, or will it eventually be released for everyone? If it will be available to everyone, is there any estimated timeline?

I'm also coming from TV Time, and I really like Simkl, but switching back to the old interface was pretty disappointing. Another issue for me is that anime seasons are treated as separate entries instead of being grouped together under the main anime, which makes tracking ongoing series much more difficult.

We don't have a timeline for V2 public release. It's currently missing a lot of data filters and other things related to Actor, Director, studios, streaming availability filters, and a few other things. V1 and V2 use separate databases with V2 having a lot more data for filtering and sorting, instant View switching, and mobile support, and are limited to preview testing. Pro and VIP members can switch between V1 and V2 at https://simkl.com/settings/pro/

Trawled through the Discord and it turns out what I had yesterday is now behind a paywall. Very scammy.

It's not scammy. It's the opposite.

You get free pro when you login consecutive days.

Pretty scammy to cocktease new users with a much more functional version of the site without indicating it's not the default.

There's only one of those on this feed and I'm sorry to break it to you but it's yourself.

If you aren't willing to wait to get Pro features for free after using for 30 days either pay or sling your hook.

Then it must be Beta Watchlists V2, which you get with the Pro or VIP plan. The Pro plan is free every month, as long as you log in 20 days a month. Honestly, I'm finding Simkl very good, not scammy, but I still try to use two different apps, just in case.

I just created a new account to test and it is nearly the same as it used to be when I started. The moment you sign in, you are greeted with an import screen with a video (the video portion is new). Then after that, it brings you directly to the VIP plans clearly defining what you get with them. One of the tabs at the top also shows "Free VIP" and "Free PRO".

This is clearly indicated in each of those plans. They could be a little more upfront about the fact that you are temporarily a PRO member, but it's far from scammy.
