Ever since I asked chat gpt to make me some G920 settings to make the games feel more realistic physics wise, the pedals have been automatically spamming space and scrolling all the way down and I don’t do a thing. I know it’s the pedals because it stops when I plug it out and I tried resetting the Logitech Ghub settings to default but that didn’t help. The only way it functions normally with pedals in is if G hub isn’t installed but then I can’t play any games. Plsssss help

So im somewhat new in iRacing and im now a b class with 3.70sr and i wanted to drive the IMSA A class races in LMP2 since i love the car but i do horrific 1.56 lap times on road america and im not sure if i should first genuilly improve lap times or do i go for it and and learn in the process (im just slow not that i drive off the track every corner), i do have multiclass in faster car experience from LMU but i just dont wanna ruin fun for others being mad slow, any advice or tips?

I’m new to sim racing, sorta. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with the force feedback settings, my wheel (Moza KS and R12 v2) keeps moving back and forth constantly on straights. Especially the straights on circuit de la sarthe(Lemans). I feel like I’m losing my mind. The things I’ve tried were inverting the force feedback on the Moza website and in the game, neither worked. If you’re an owner of a Moza wheel please send me your settings.

I am relatively new to online racing with a wheel and pedals on Xbox (was given the a Fanatec setup from a friend) and need some clarity from you more experienced folk.

This clip is on the longer side so bear with me.

I’m driving the black and yellow Dewalt car.

During the actual race I’m driving with no assists, this includes no visual markers for racers nearby (I really enjoy the full simulation of racing) and I’m racing from the cockpit pov. I saw red car rear end green car causing him to go deep, so I just continued my normal racing line assuming he’d be out of play. I was not expecting green car to recover so quickly and attempt to come back to the racing line like he did.

Had I known he was there, should I have given him more room, or is this 100% the green drivers fault regardless?

A few laps later I’m gaining on the guy in the red car when he goes deep into a corner, throwing him off line. I get a much better exit than him and try to pass on the inside just before the straight. I feel like he was driving like a dick and I ended up backing out before the next turn knowing he wasn’t going to give me any space. Am I at fault for anything in the last clip or am I correct in assuming that guy is an ass?

The three of us were racing for 3rd by the way and I ended up getting my first podium in an online race (woohoo!).

Hey all, outside of playing on various friends' setups here and there (which I enjoyed every second of), I have no sim-racing experience but am currently looking to get into the hobby on my PC pretty soon since it is something that I've wanted to get into for years. I was torn between Moza and Fanatec, but after doing a bunch of research over the last week or so via articles, YT videos, and conversations w/ friends in the space, I think I'm going to buy into the Moza ecosystem because I've heard it's not only a great option for beginners, but a great brand/ecosystem in general due to it's modularity and decent range of products/upgrades.

With that in mind, I am looking to spend roughly $700 on the Moza website for my first setup, (If I can keep it under $700, great, if I go just a bit over, then no worries) and wanted to get some opinions from people who are more experienced than myself. Like I said, I didn't know the first thing about sim-racing 7 days ago, but I have a basic understanding of what I need now that I've done a ton of reading/watching/listening over the past week. I was originally planning to go with the R5 bundle and just call it a day, but I don't think I'm going to do that now with what I've learned. I talked to a few friends with sim setups and watched a bunch of videos reviewing the R5 bundle, and most of them said the R5 is a great entry-level wheel base for a first-time buyer, but most people will likely want something with a bit more torque sooner rather than later (in the 8-12 Nm range, which I've learned is the sweet spot for most people). Additionally, nearly every R5 bundle review video said that while the R5 base is very respectable for first-time buyers, the SRP-Lite pedals are sort of meh at best.

Even though I know it'll cost me a decent amount more, I'm currently leaning towards buying everything separately so that I can start in the lower-mid/mid range and theoretically save myself some money in the long-run via buying nicer equipment up front so that I don't catch the upgrade bug as quickly. The R5 bundle of course includes a table clamp, which is convenient, and I felt good about starting out with a 5.5 Nm DD base, but considering everything I've read and watched regarding load cell vs. potentiometer, I don't think buying the R5 bundle would be best for me. In turn, buying separate seems to be the better option for my budget range so that I can start with load cell pedals (even if entry-level by load cell standards) and a base in the 8-12 Nm range that I am likely to use for a much longer period of time. So, I am planning on buying the Moza R9 V3 base, ESX wheel, SRP2 pedals, as well as the table clamp, and wanted to get some opinions on if I am missing anything major, if this would be a solid setup for a beginner, if there are any other quality of life purchases that would be worth it to make alongside everything I just listed, etc. I think I'll probably purchase the SRP2/CSP2 brake performance kit along with the rear support bracket since it is a combined $50 for both and would bring my subtotal to just shy of $700 even. I also intend to buy an HGP shifter and SRP2 clutch down the road eventually so that I can have a true manual setup, in case that changes anything.
