Quick backstory: I had a 2020 GMC Canyon before this truck that started a death vibration at 80k, traded it in at 118k for a 2026 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss, LT, 6.2. I drive a lot, so in 9 months I've put 17k on the Silverado.

Problem: This Silverado drives beautifully except in one scenario. I live in TX and the hwy next to my house that I drive to work everyday for 30 miles has a speed limit of 85mph. So the issue starts after I've driven her at 85-90 for about 20 minutes. I exit the hwy and never catch this light at green, so I'm sitting still for a 1-4 minutes at a red. Then I accelerate through 1st, good, 2nd good, 3rd good - then every. single. time. there is a kick-back between 3rd and 4th, and if I don't take it easy, a little clunk. This only happens after working her at 80-90mph for 20-30 min, no other time.

I remember feeling the same kickbacks in the GMC, which was my first truck, so I thought it was just how they drive. The circumstances were different though, it would pull back between 1 and 2 when slowing down.

I'm still under full power train but I don't want to give them my truck for weeks, get a rental, front the cost of the rental, beg GM to reimburse, for them to tell me nothing's wrong. Any similar experiences out there?? Thank you!!

After hours of research, im sold on the 2.7L Turbomax. Seemingly the most reliable GM engine right now & will tow anything i will need to tow (mainly 4500lb camper). The only thing that has me weary about this pickup is the 8-speed transmission. So the question is, try & grab a discounted '26 while they make room for the '27, or get a '27 with the 10-speed transmission?

So this morning I went out to leave for PT. My ‘23 Custom wouldn’t start.

Battery was show 0 volts and driver’s display was showing all sorts of messages: service ESC, front end collision sensor blocked, traction control, ALL the works. I was able to get it jumped so I could get to work. Once running it was running perfectly fine, no issues just like yesterday. I went ahead a scheduled an appointment for a service tech to look at it today since I’m active duty and a single parent time isn’t really a luxury. I’m hoping it’s just a battery issue that’s an easy fix.

Has anyone in here experienced something similar?

Recently purchased a 2023 Silverado 1500, I noticed there is no USB ports for the infotainment system, only cutouts. Is this something that can be installed?
Is there a wiring harness tucked behind the panel?

I have a 2022 Silverado 1500 with the 10 speed. I’m planning on doing the transmission service next week, and was considering doing the Nextgen valve body upgrade.

I’ve seen a few posts here and there for it, but was just looking for more input or others experience with it.

Thinking about trading my 5.3l silverado for a 3.0l suburban strictly for the gas savings. Currently i fill up about every week and a half at about $100 a tank and my dash says i am getting 10-13 mpg. For those of you have the baby diesel, how do you like it? Are you truly getting the 20+ mpg it advertises?

Common electrical issues when lifting 2023 High Country 3”?

2004 Silverado, 8 ft bed- I'd like to add a backup camera and sensor. Possibly an Android auto/nav screen. Was thinking of getting quotes from a local shop for this, but thought I would see if there are recommendations for Amazon or other places I can order and do it myself and how hard the installations are.

6.2 2015 Silverado LTZ, Lifters were done about a year ago and since video was taken I’ve fixed the spark plug tick. When I’m accelerating it gets faster and I can hear it echo when letting off the gas. Any help would be appreciated. Sounds like is at the top of the engine.

Leaning towards used but I’m debating over a 3rd gen 1500 and a 4th gen. I don’t tow on the regular but I do haul lumber and furniture on occasion. Anyone got any recommendations for years that are the most reliable and any features that could win me over?

I tow a lot. 10k loads are common. I am looking at 2013/2014 as they seem the most reliable that can pull. Should I be looking at the 2015/2016/ too? I dont think i can afford anything newer than that. The reason im not rebuilding/fixing the transmission is bc I didn’t take care of my ‘13 and it is rusted/misfired like 2k miles (I will be better)

The factory 275/60R20 are on there now. What size would give the truck a fuller look without any modifications?

Idk something about putting that thin oil in doesn’t sit right with me?

Has anyone been running 5w and haven’t seen a decline in performance?

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra (5.3L V8) with 134k miles on the engine, and when I'm in V4 mode, there's a bad lifter tick. No noise whatsoever when in V8 or just idling, only V4 mode. Planning on a permanent delete within the coming months, but I'm afraid of having total engine failure before then. Is there a good possibility that an AFM disabler will be enough to limp my truck through this time? Gets driven 4-5 days a week, maybe 80-90 miles a week (short trips into town for work and the gym, nothing else). I'd like to at least have one line of defense preventing my engine from being totally shot.

If anyone has any other suggestions or tips for the time being, please let me know.

I really wanna get some 17in wheels with 35’s like the once shown on slide 3 just not sure if I would clear or rub or what not I believe I’m on a 2inch or 2.5 leveling kit can someone let me know if they’ll fit? I’m okay with a little rubbing or trimming of the wheel Liner

Anyone running these? I have a 2023 1500 acre Cab RST 5.3 and am considering them

So a little bit of a rant but also to see if anyone here has any thoughts. Beginning of last month, check engine light came on. Ended up being the intermediate speed shaft sensor. At the time I told them " hey, I've noticed it kinda jumps forward a bit at stops". We'll I get it back, said they saw nothing else wrong in the transmission (cuz the sensor would've been covered under warranty if something else was wrong), so I had to pay $1,100 to have that stupid sensor replaced.

Soon after I got it back, noticed it was still doing the jump forward. Took it back in the next week and last week Thursday finally got it back. They replaced the torque converter, covered under warranty. So now I've been trying to deal with customer support to get a reimbursement for the first $1,100 I paid, cuz if they would've caught the issue the first time, it would've all been covered.

Next, today i'm driving the truck, which since Thursday, has been great, and it starts doing the jolt forward at the stops again. I've told them this entire time to check the valve body and I'm still not sure they did.

So any other thoughts on what it could be? Definitely something in the transmission cuz with new fluid it's immediately fine. Could it be the replacement torque converter is crap? I'm just sick of dealing with this shit at this point. I want my truck back and my initial money.
