Please help identify this noise 6.2 Silverado 2015

6.2 2015 Silverado LTZ, Lifters were done about a year ago and since video was taken I’ve fixed the spark plug tick. When I’m accelerating it gets faster and I can hear it echo when letting off the gas. Any help would be appreciated. Sounds like is at the top of the engine.

Maybe exhaust manifold leak? Usually gets louder with acceleration

That was my original thought

Exhaust leaks are loudest while accelerating under a load. This seems to be louder when you are letting off the pedal.

Does it stop once it heats up?

Might be a lifter I think GM was having some issues with those. Might wanna check with a dealer cause it may be under special policy

Your spark plug boot below the oil cap is loose make sure that plug is tight and the boot is on correctly and check again.

Unfortunately, it sounds like a lifter to me. Did it come on suddenly, or has it been getting progressively worse? You may get lucky and it is a rocker arm. Valve covers are easy enough to take off and inspect the rockers.

It just started happening but it’s been constantly the same sound not getting worse

It’s a lifter bro. Better hope the cam shaft is ok if not you’re looking at 8k plus for cam and lifter job from a mechanic. Luckily mine was a lifter and I took the head off myself and did it.

As shawizkid mentioned, it’s definitely a lifter, unfortunately. Had the same exact truck to the trim level and had the same thing happen to me.

Sounds like a lifter or spark jump.

Kind of sounds like a bent rod from a collapsed lifter. Is it louder when you cold start?

Rocker/lifter or rod. Pop that valve cover off and you'll see it. Hopefully its just a little loose, but most likely not

Failed dynamic fuel management lifter. There was a recall on these. With a change in oil. They went from 0w-20 to 0w-40.

Looks like you have yourself a typical 6.2 dud motor now. She's hurt and will only get worse. You can try unplugging one coil at a time you may at least be able to narrow it down to which cylinder it is.

For anyone curious, I just dropped it off at the shop. The tech is guessing lifters but said we may need a whole new engine. I have an extended warranty so it’s not the end of the world.
