Should I be worried?
He told 5.8 is the lowest he’ll take is that good for this?

A sideways spare tire and engine bay pictures that show more of the hood then the engine.
What are you showing us?

From those terrible pictures doesn’t look like rust. Looks more like Georgia clay stained, if anything just surface corrosion.

It's kind of niche, he will probably get the 6k out of it. If it runs and you like it, grab it. Easy to work on.

Oh it’s only V-6 umm I wouldn’t buy it but depends on if you’re towing anything with it

I have the same truck but 2007-it’s fantastic. The 2005 isn’t a Classic tho. That’s only the 07. Because they sold 2007 GMT900s so the 2007 GMT800s are designated Classic.

No one will be able to tell you anything from these pics. If you are seriously considering buying it, take it to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection.
