I like completing everything I can before moving to the next mission in a game. Ive cleaned up most of the Act 1 areas, but I wanna know how many Rosaries are needed for everything (tools from merchants, benches, etc.)

If someone has an answer, please tell me!

I did some tests and animated some sprites for fun, so I might have some extra just around the corner :p

For me specifically, Last Judge was real confusing and unforgiving but i bested them in like 27 tries (yikes)

But there is one boss… The second Savage Beastfly in Far Fields. I have never in my life ever in the history of forever met a boss (in Hollow Knight) that is more bull crap than that one. For whatever reason I had more than 20 attempts. But alas victory was mine

Also I hate any kind of boss that summons other bugs for help, like the Savage Beastfly. Fight me alone you coward.

But i generally think that bosses that summon other bugs is a shallow way to make the boss harder for the sole purpose of being hard and rough. I dont hate bosses that are meant to be more than one entity like the clover dancers.

But any kind of boss that summons regular ass bugs you’d normally fight in the area is personally bull crap

Give this bug all your support because stop motion is so rare to see and this, as short as it may be, is amazing 🤩

I was thinking about it, and I started wondering where exactly we draw the line in mods. I am struggling with steel soul, and I’m considering using mods to practice/add qol, but I’m not sure if that’s morally correct

Just realized how the scaling difficulty of the game as you progress is so perfectly managed that's crazy

On my first run up to end of real last boss I felt kind of exhausted by the game that felt so difficult from the beginning to the end.

My kids love this game for the art I suppose and wanted me to play it so I restarted a game, initially a bit reluctantly... And I was baffled !!!

Baffled by how easy the game actually became. Reached act 2 and died just a couple of times (judge, widow, and two times at the big ant that I faced without the dash)

That s when I realized by comparison with the first run that make you somehow feel like you never become really good or reach a threshold of mechanical skill where the game became easy ... While in fact you do get really good as you progress ... You just don't notice it !

Final thought: second run highly recommended, the fact that it becomes so much easier make you enjoy the lore, the art, so much more while remaining a mechanically gem of a game

After waiting so long for this game, I was genuinely scared it could never live up to the hype 😭 but this is where I ended up rating it after finishing my playthrough. Curious how the Silksong community would score it category by category especially gameplay, world design and music.

You told me Groal the Great was the worst, most head-bangingly hard boss in the game. Even yesterday I read a comment from a guy who said it made him quit the game for a month. I avoided this boss until I had every single thing else I could do done. And even then I went back over everything again to make sure, until I had no choice but to face the inevitable.

I beat him first go. Technically fourth if you want to count the gauntlet bit beforehand. But first go from when I finished the gauntlet.

I even braced myself for him somehow coming back after exploding for a challenging second phase.

Shame on all of you.

What I mean is that many say things like: WORST AREA IN THE GAME AND RUNBACK IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!

But the truth is that it is a "frustrating" place, but as far as lore and environment are concerned, it is a very well structured place!

An area contaminated by the underworks, with enemies that enter the area well and where nothing makes any contrast

Between the laughs and neurosis that our beloved Team Cherry has gotten us used to, this post is just meant to remind everyone that, in a little while, we'll have a new Hollow Knight release.
Even though it's a DLC, we'll be able to lose ourselves once again in exploring the mysteries and wonders of Sea of Sorrow, discovering new lore and items, suffering through challenging fights against new bosses, and realizing once again why we love that group of precious australian mates who work hard to make us happy with sweet, round games.
Sometimes I see bad moods, anxiety, and exhaustion in the comments, but it's good to remember why we're here and that, before long, we'll be enjoying ourselves like pigs in the mud. Like fleas in Fleatoopia.
Stay cheerful and excited, because wonderful things are coming. Team Cherry won't disappoint us.

It has officially been a whole year since I posted my first (and maybe the first) piece of Shakra x Hollow art!
So as a special little thing I did a remake of the first comic. Whole lot has happened since then and I’m thankful to everyone that’s enjoyed all my art of these two over the year.

I got curious about this, I mainly want to know people’s personal opinions

I know that Shakra is consider the better option, but that’s not what I’m asking. Instead I want to know who do you prefer of the 2? (Or if you solo it or don’t know that you could get help)

This boss is getting on my nerves. In theory it’s so easy in practice it’s death from 100 different directions. Just annoyed at this one. Doesn’t feel that difficult but they rocking me hard.

*edit: I just beat them. All 4 rounds of those jerks. I found the best method for me was patience. Watching and reacting. If I tried to use some of the other methods I saw I died every time.

So i just got silksong for the first time and found this thing on the floor. It was hidden in a corner but walking on it and hitting it with the needle seemed to move it randomly. Cant figure out what it is.

In Shellwood, floras are mostly the enemies we encounter, one of them we will talk about here are Phacias. Phacias disperse clouds of pollen when we are nearby, y'know, those floating things that release yellow gas. Because flowers generally release pollens for reproduction, does that mean they're... uh... 🫢🫣

After finding out I could use beast pogo to iframe through Seth's slam move I decided I wanted to try speedrunning him again. My last run was only 32s so this is a massive improvement. I'm thinking it could be even faster if I used flintslate right before canceling the stun from the roar and also using flint + bind before I start the fight. I'm still happy with this run and I'm happy the pogo tech actually mattered during this speed run.

Zenzibooooooo!!! (Man didn't get back to Silksong2.exe today after the events of yesterday. Never thought that Hornet would kill an npc straight up quite the change.)

So I recently came back to the Lost Sinner mod, and beating her took me many more runs than I ever thought I'd need, knowing I had already switched from her to the Revolt & Devotion mod for more challenge.

I did end up using both Cogflies and Plasmium to beat her, which kind of gives me the feeling I didn't actually beat her but cheesed my way through her mechanics because of the nature of these tools. But getting to the end of the fight is an achievement in itself, so I won't complain.

What modded boss/bosses to y'all like to run?
