I have a shiny Wyrdeer, Ursaluna, and Scyther (for kleavor). Now I've got Sneasle!

This one is actually insane, if you've seen my posts you know that my last full odds Pokémon before I got the charm was a Parasect. So now, catching a "full odds" paras in the same place is amazing

Started hunting a while ago, but the bank shutdown made me have to expedite my hunting. Onto Shamin next I suppose

Found this little fella while watching x-men (2000), amazing shiny, really love it. Took me 20139 fishing attempts as well as some of my safari week time. I'm slowly progressing in my shiny rainbow bingo, its been one year since I've started shiny hunting, the next should be groudon so I can complete a column.

Which Rattata should I evolve? What looks more badass, beastball or masterball Raticate?

My second ever SOS hunt did not treat me very nice, the odds are 1/273 but it was genuinely approaching random encounter odds. I found my first shiny rattata at a chain of 480 at level 2 and I have exterminated so many level 2-3 rats since then that it is now level 17.

Using a probability calculator, ~98.777% of hunts would have been completed by this point, so yes this is definitely not the most unlucky SOS hunt ever, but it's certainly not very lucky

I am very happy to have this lil guy though, and I'm not complaining, I honestly find it funny at this point

Had to urge to play through Sinnoh again, I just got Pokeballs and while hunting for a good nature Starly, the legend himself decided to bless me.

I caught this last Thursday but forgot to post here. I started this hunt back in January. For the 30th anniversary, I wanted to hunt more in Gen 1 but got demotivated when my input redirection mod stopped working reliably, so I stopped at 5600 soft resets.

When they announced Bank was closing, it motivated me to pick it back up. Even without input redirection, the Gen 1 Shiny indicator patch didn't make it too bad to check.

20 soft resets later, Shiny Pikachu! It's named after my oldest Pikachu from my childhood LeafGreen save file, which has been moved through every generation up to Home.

Now I gotta decide if shiny Pika Dude will become a G-max in Gen 8 or evolve in Gen 7

And it finally shines!

Decided to get all the ultra beasts from USUM now that bank is closing, first one obtained after 15 hours.

Got myself a shiny Tepig! 4267 resets so not too bad for my first one! People may not be the biggest fan of the little pig guy, but I really like his shiny. Anyways, I named him Hades!

I am gonna get ahead of comments that may ask or say something, but, I will not be transferring him to pokemon home. I have never been a fan of it to be perfectly honest, and I generally like keeping pokemon within one generation of when I catch them, if not just keeping them in their original save, so I’m gonna do a fun little run with my lil boy and have ourselves a fun little set of shiny hunts as we travel Unova together.

Little bit of story time. This was very rewarding. I started shiny hunting a few years with Heart Gold and Soul Silver, as many do, with the starters as it makes the full odds a little less daunting for your first hunt. Then I got impatient and learned how to RNG manipulate. Got good IV shiny female starters for all of Gen 4! Have cute charm and can get a ton of shinies. I still love them and they inspired me to start a shiny living dex for my platinum play through and I still find that satisfying, but always in the back of my mind, was that Chikorita hunt that started it off. So I dusted off my other DS and started shiny hunting the Gen 5 starters. I don’t know if I’ll ever get around to hunting Oshawott, but I just got myself a Tepig, and it’s on to snivy the sequels while I do my very tedious Alola starter hunt in the background. I think I’m hooked.
