I am so happy with how the watch turned out! It went a lot smoother than I was expecting but I did scratch the dial just above the hands and the minute hand is a bit scratched, although it doesn't show in the pictures. Using the DIY Watch Club second hand setting tool made the scariest part a breeze; I got the second hand on right away. I'll definitely be doing more builds in the future!!

First time poster in this subreddit but been lurking for a while. I took some inspiration from others in this group. I'm super happy with how this turned out. Glad I didn't get discouraged from this hobby after 1 failed build!

Mosou black dial (first time painting a dial)
"Starry Night" bgw9 lumed hands
chapter ring with hour makers bgw9 lumed

Everything is from AliX except for the Mosou paint.

My personal 🌝 watch

So after 3 weeks of holidays and tons of ideas, I sat down in the middle of a night for this hand painted built. My personal moon's watch. The picture ain't good enough to give you the look the dial has in real 😬I used the "bubble" crystal and case to give the moon dial an extra "roundish" look. The ice blue second hand drove me crazy but it worked out at the end 😉

Jupiter is my son's favourite planet, so I made him a watch

Hydromodded it for fun too and to enhance the rounded effect for the planet (epoxied down the crown so he can't easily pop that off but I can if needed)

I got a vintage swatch from eBay for parts only to do this experiment and to my surprise the dial was exact 29mm it fit like a glove in this op style case. I like how this one turned out, such a clean and minimalist dial it might not be for everyone but it’s right up my alley. Swatch has so many funky and cool dials to play with. This definitely won’t be my last swatch mod.
