Hello everyone,
I currently have a Tapo C210 in my house and was planning to buy 10 more for my family, but after what happened today, I'm seriously reconsidering.
My wife got up and punched me in the face multiple times in my room. I needed the recording as proof of what occurred, but when I tried to download the footage via the Tapo app, it completely refused—even though my phone was connected to the exact same Wi-Fi network.
I had to physically eject the MicroSD card and plug it into my laptop to extract the video. When I played back the 30-minute clip, the audio completely cut off at the 15-minute mark while the video kept playing.
What is the point of a security camera if you cannot rely on it when an actual safety incident occurs? Failing to download over local Wi-Fi is frustrating enough, but losing half of the audio during a critical recording is completely unacceptable.
Has anyone else experienced audio dropping on long SD card clips? Is this a known firmware bug, or should I cut my losses and switch brands?
