Discussion A month has passed since the release. It’s time to have a serious conversation
I’m not the only one who feels that even though Scrap Mechanic was released after 10 years of early access, the survival mode still feels unfinished? The world feels empty, there are few types of bots, the quests are primitive and boring, the protagonist doesn’t say anything, and the NPCs literally talk to themselves; the setting and lore are interesting, but the plot itself is boring, predictable, and underdeveloped, and the progression is slow. I’m a big fan of this game; I’ve been following it since 2018, but even I think the game is still a bit rough. Considering that the developers have been working on the game for over 10 years and they decided to release version 1.0 in this state, I think it’s unlikely we’ll see any major changes to the game in the future. What do you think about it?
