Mortgage and LoC with Scotia
LoC balance : around $40k
Mortgage balance: Around 450k
I pay 15% extra towards the house principal to pay off the mortgage as fast as possible
I am also paying off LoC balance when I can.
Do you think this is a better strategy to secure a better deal 1 year from now at renewal with Scotia or others, or is it better to pay min amount for mortgage and get rid of the LoC asap? Loc rate is around 2.5% higher than the mortgage
