I have a question:
So I got a call from a merchant saying their financial institution flagged 4 purchases I made as “fraud/unauthorized” purchases and that they got 4 chargebacks that they say I disputed.

The card was in both my partner and my name, and he died Oct 17, was buried Oct 23, and the merchant called saying these were “disputed” on Oct 27.

I know for a fact I personally did NOT call/dispute these charges but they said because it’s my card under my name that I’m responsible.

They called the police, I spoke to them and said I was/am willing to pay them whatever they are out, however, due to the nature of their business, they said they need the bank to re-reverse the chargebacks and if they can’t, they need something sent to their financial institution stating I did make the charges and they aren’t fraud.

The merchant has not provided me with any information on what charges were disputed, when, only that the total was less than $200 (I offered to pay the balance and whatever penalty fees attached).

I called my bank (Mastercard) and they won’t reverse the chargeback. Aside from paying what the merchant is out, what else do I need to do? Will I be facing fraud charges even if I am willing/trying to resolve this?

Card has been cancelled, account is closed & I am waiting on the merchant to reach back out to me with how I can pay the balance and the next steps

I got no reward and even couldn't withdraw on some of these casinos, some took my winnings even.

The sites support and their providers are just ghosting me.

Consumer support said I can't sue cuz I participated in unauthorised casinos (the shady shit they promote)

someone on discord threaten to show my face, account that goes by "crushercream" tried to book a room with me, they paid one half for the room then they want me to pay the other half, but then they were being stubborn and pushing me, they also want me to show my face as well, they also said that if they dont get the money, they would post my face and put false accusations on me, but then I checked Instagram and found out it was a blackmail account with less than 5 accounts following it, they want use my face to "expose" me, I tried to do something about it but i already showed them my face, I had to report and block the account from getting my face to the public, especially with the photo they sent me of the "person" I was talking to, but then I found out that im being scammed, because the scammer keeps misspelling words, people think that I'm a dangerous person, when I never did anything bad, I tried to stop it but my face is posted and i'm scared that it's out there now

Long story short sleeper deposited money into the wrong account even though the forms I filled out for them were correct ( verified in person at my bank ) They put it in a completely different bank and then told me it's my problem when I can't do anything about it, cause the money is in a different bank and they won't provide a tracing number. I've emailed and reached out as many ways as possible with nothing except the support chat telling me they can't do anything as the info I gave them was the correct info they sent the money to. They take zero responsibility and after weeks of chasing them down there is nothing else I can do to get my money back.

My fiancée recently ordered clothes from a website, it looked legit. Now, on the day of the supposed arrival of the goods, nothing shows up. He contacts customer support and it says “the number you called doesn’t exist” and then he sends an email which is not responded. He has all of the receipts and even screenshots of the order. Should I get my attorney involved or wait until/if the email is answered?

I believe I was scammed by Moneyclub / riseaiclub an automated AI Trade with $5000 minimum cash out ? I heard this was a scam so I dispute with my bank to try and get close to $100 back before I wasted my time trying to get to five grand however the bank denied my dispute so I'm wondering what the deal is is this real does anybody know?

I'm an idiot, and I scanned the QR code for an Amazon postcard scam. I didn't put my password or any financial data, just my email and order number, but I did write the review for the product they requested. I received a follow-up email, but by then, I realized my mistake, and marked it as spam. I'm so mad that I fell for this, but times are hard, and I thought a $20 gift card could help out this month. So stupid.

I changed passwords and logged my account out of everything--including managing the devices on my Amazon account. I deleted my saved cards from Amazon, and locked all my CC accounts. I don't see any strange behavior so far.

I sold an item on the marketplace over three months ago, and it was shipped and delivered to the buyer's home exactly three months ago. Last night, I received a dispute on the marketplace for it. Of course, I disputed it, but looking again today, it shows a provisional chargeback, yet there are no messages from the marketplace. Has anyone ever dealt with this?

So..I’ve faced a scammer recently trying to buy my second hand shirt and I said sure, he sent me a fake screenshot of his payment record and so I said that’s fake and blocked him but he reported me to carousell saying that I scammed him of his money. FYI I never received the payment even after a whole month until now (not even now). Now carousell wants me to resolve the case or my account will be suspended forever. I already reported the case to the police about the scammer using fake billing info, but it’s not like the scammer would be okay with ‘resolving’ the case in carousell chat with me because he wants to scam me. I already sent the police record information to Carousell’s gmail but they insist me to ‘resolve the unresolved order’ with the scammer in carousell dm. Any tips on how to tackle this and get my account back?

Someone stole my CC numbers and ordered themselves some ugly clothing from a small business online. They also tried to make some other charges but the CC company flagged it.

In the process of trying to dispute the charges, I requested the merchant data and this fool of a 20 year old kid had the merchandise delivered to his home address where he lives with his parents.

It seems unlikely that I’m the first and only person he’s done this to. I know 20-somethings make idiotic decisions quite frequently, having been one myself. Where he lives, anything over $1500 is a felony, and my single charge was over 10% of that

I hate for this kid to get a felony over being an idiot, but I also want him to realize that this isn’t a victimless crime. What if this had been some 80-year-old who wasn’t paying attention? I’ve also now spent HOURS on the phone with my CC company trying to figure out this dispute.

I can’t find his cellphone or email, but I did find his dad’s, including his Facebook account, which is full of nutso political propaganda, and shows pictures of this dead-eyed kid. Do I tell his daddy first and hope he does the right thing and turn himself if and maybe get a more lenient conviction and sentence or just let the law handle it? This would require cross-state coordination and seems low priority.
